With a decent memory card inside of the Samsung NV100HD you can take a lot of really great high quality snaps and the camera itself is very compact, hence the name. He phoned the good people at Sky and managed to haggle the price down to around £100 off the advertised price and then had the cheek to also ask 'what happens to the old Sky+ box - can we have it installed in the bedroom thrown in'? To give an idea I'd say it's 3/4 the size of a standard Sky digibox. The unit itself is supplied with the remote control, batteries, scart cable, component cable, and a reasonable quality HDMI cable. My brand new snapper

Advantages: Smart, good quality pics, power, memory and lots of cool features
Disadvantages: A bit fiddly, badly placed flash, can be confusing at first

Advantages: Good quality reception, plenty of channels avalible
Disadvantages: Expensive, limited HD channels so far

...with it is the limted HD reception, admitedly it does look a lot better than normal digital. But it may just be the area i am in but i only have 1 dedicated HD channel. The rest have to be found by using the red button on the normal show. And even then the only HD tv seems to be football or tennis, admitedly for me it is not a bad thing. Im sure the variety can only get better though. Maybe doesn`t justify the expensive but is a solid all round freeview box....

Advantages: Brilliant if just want the HD part, picture quality much improved for HD
Disadvantages: 1080i, true is 1080p, limited channels

Phillups HD tv's tend to have the best local sound, but if you invest in a cinema system than any TV can produce brilliant sound reproduction EVALUATION This all depends on what you want out of the HD revolution. If its all about upgrading and HD name then SKY HD is for you. However, if value for money comes into play and the best technology for the best potential picture, I would recommend it would be better buying 1080p TV, high contrast ratio and invest in Blue Ray at the very least. Then as the technology improves or the price comes down you have a better deal for your telly. Or the other option is, if you have a CRT with a relatively large screen and realtively good picture, eg.
