Sennheiser HD-25's: Ideal for Home or Pro DJ

Advantages: Comfort, Quality, Availability of spares.
Disadvantages: Cord a bit short.

...Needing a new pair of headphones, my previous pair being stood on and smashed by a drunken me, I searched on-line and in the shops and decided upon the Sennheiser HD25?s. They were certainly not the cheapest on offer, at the top end of my budget coming in at just under £125 from Superfi about 6 months ago. (I have seen them online now for £99 at Djstore.co.uk) I am not a DJ, nor do I profess to be, but I selected these since they appear very hard wearing, and offer exceptional hi-fi sound quality with comfort. ...I purchased this box initially for the Euro 2008 Matches which were shown on ITV HD as well as BBC HD. Upon opening the box, the first thing I noticed was how small the foxsat is. To give an idea I'd say it's 3/4 the size of a standard Sky digibox. The unit itself is supplied with the remote control, batteries, scart cable, component cable, and a reasonable quality HDMI cable. Connection of the box is very simple with just one connection to the satellite dish, mains plug and HDMI cable to your TV (assuming you are using a HD ready TV, which you should be if purchasing a HD receiver). Dyson DC25 Animal - Having A Ball!

Advantages: Large collecting bin and great suction!
Disadvantages: Not so Lightweight, and Power Cord could be longer.

Dyson Ball DC25

Advantages: Very light and very manoeverable.
Disadvantages: Bit too light and moves around a lot.

...The Dyson DC25 all Floors vacuum cleaner is a revolution in houshold cleaning. Not only is very good at picking up small pieces of dust and dirt,but the filters are washable which makes it cheaper than some other types of cleaners. I love the way it manoevers around furniture and as it has a small and low head it can get under the edges of furniture as well as under my radiators. Something my old Dyson couldn't do. It's very light weight, weighing only 7.5kg so it makes hoovering upstairs that much easier. The only draw back of this weight is that when you are using the extension hose to clean furniture, curtains or to get behind things, i found that if stretched to it;s limit the machine would move around and has caught me in the ankles several times. This is a little annoying as i have had to stand with one foot...

Advantages: Good quality reception, plenty of channels avalible
Disadvantages: Expensive, limited HD channels so far

...with it is the limted HD reception, admitedly it does look a lot better than normal digital. But it may just be the area i am in but i only have 1 dedicated HD channel. The rest have to be found by using the red button on the normal show. And even then the only HD tv seems to be football or tennis, admitedly for me it is not a bad thing. Im sure the variety can only get better though. Maybe doesn`t justify the expensive but is a solid all round freeview box....

...After all the hype I managed to get my Dad to invest in the HD box. He phoned the good people at Sky and managed to haggle the price down to around £100 off the advertised price and then had the cheek to also ask 'what happens to the old Sky+ box - can we have it installed in the bedroom thrown in'? Gosh Sky even agreed to that - so it's well worth having a chat on the phone and seeing what Sky can do for you! The box itself is simply Sky+ with extra's. The installation is a little irritating as the engineer told us that Sky are mega-security conscious. He said we had to leave everything turned on and wait at least 4 hours for the set up to be complete. He had to phone 'headquarters' to verify codes with them and actually said that took more of his time than the actual installation. He also said that he wouldnt be surprised if we had...
