...This is a must have accessory for any Playstation 3 owner. The best way to send sound and video to your TV to play in high definition is through a HDMI cable. It is the most reliable and easiest way of doing it. A test recently done on the gadget show proved that a cheap HDMI cable will work just as well as an extremely expensive one. They both do the same job and one isn't better than the other. This cable from GAME is one of the cheapest HDMI cables I have seen in the shops and so if a definate buy if you are thinking of getting one. As the Playstation 3 system does not come with a HDMI cable in the box you will probably want to buy one when you pruchase your PS3 and if you are buying it in GAME then you should definitely go for their make of the HDMI cable. Disadvantages: Rubbish controller, still expensive, online nowhere near as good as xbox live

playstation 3 slim: the facts!

Advantages: very powerful, multifunctional console
Disadvantages: No real price cut

...have reduced Sony's manufacturing costs significantly. So what do you get: You get the console, a DualShock 3 controller, power cable, AV cable and USB cable - but no HDMI cable is included. So what you get is the same as the older version but with a newer style controller. In my opinion Sony has released this console just in time for x-mas to try and boost their profit margin, it is still the great ps3 but with no real noticeable benefits to us the customer and no real break in the price which people are crying out for! After all that said DO buy this product because the ps3 in my opinion is the best game console out at the moment with free online game play and a blu-ray player this console far outranks the x-box 360. This is still a very good buy and is now must more pleasing to look at!...

The Settings tab is where you set up all your preferences, for example if you have bought a HDMI cable for your PS3 you can go here and tell the PS3 you are using HDMI and then you can choose what resolution you like upto 1080p. Sound can be set up here as well as configuring access to a wireless network and many other things such as the language of Blu Ray movies and controlling the upscaling of DVDs and original PlayStation games. The Photo, Music and Video tabs all feature some of the same things. In the photo tab however there is one unique thing which is the slideshow. The PS3 will render your pictures in 3D and have them flip out in a stylish manner which is perfect for showing off your photos...

Playstation 3 Great Product

Advantages: Useful, Multimedia Functions, Entertaining, Internet

Sometimes its a bit tempremental and doesnt want to work, i have to cycle my tv on and off to get it to pick up a signal. But this may not even be a playstation fault could be my TV playing up who knows. Playstation Online has been incorprated well, playing online is easy and to create an account. Yeah theres always bugs when playing online and theres been updates for certain games for fixes and sony is always making updates for the playstation so make sure you keep up to date. ...without dual shock. Need For Speed didn't feel the same without it the ride felt so smooth and unrealistic. It also has a great feature called SIXAXIS which was not in previous versions of the Playstation controllers. This works similar to the Nintendo Wii controllers where it is motion sensitive. This currently is not available in all games yet but I do know that it is harder playing like that but with practice it will be just as easy and more enjoyable. I personally do not like to use this feature as i find it much too hard to control but i guess practice makes perfect. All i can say about this design is "PERFECTION" i have loved this design since PS1 and i hope they never change it. The PS3 can support up to 7 Bluetooth controllers that's for than enough for me. To PS3 or not to PS3?

Advantages: An amazing machine, expandable, some great features
Disadvantages: Expensive (but for a reason), almost internet reliant, no browser security

...3 isn't a light console in any way. It weighs in at around 6KG as well as being pretty big (it's about 12"x10"x3" if memory serves right), but it does looks pretty cool in a retro style. Decked out in black, It has a convex top with the Playstation 3 logo on it in silver, and apart from two power lights on the front and two USB ports that's it. Like the Wii it can either be propped up on it's side (handy if you're low on space) or laid flat. At the back is your ethernet cable port and your many video output options including the HDMI port (for those of you with a HD ready TV), but make note this is my first gripe. The HDMI cable doesn't come with the PS3 (although you do get a standard video out cable) so if you're wanting everything in HD then you need to shell out an extra £13 or so for one of these.
