...unreliable. HDMi cables tend to be completely sealed units with no potential for failures whilst taking up a lot less room than the sometimes 12mm thick rather stiff cable of a Scart. When we bought our LG TV a few years ago, we were advised by the spiky haired chap in Currys that the TV we were buying did not come with a Scart lead or a HDMi lead so we would, luckily for him and his commission bonus...
