...This review is on ?Emerge Energy Drink? As I sit here and write this review I wonder how this drink can be sold for 24p which is a saving of over £1.00 if compared to its nearest rival. Now is that because it?s poor taste, nasty ingredients or something else! Well I hope to explain that to you during this review. I am not someone who often reviews food and drink products, so sorry for the layout. I am just reviewing it in the order I like to read. About Emerge Emerge is sold in the UK in most supermarkets, coming in single cans or as part of a multipack you can expect to notice this drink in its bright orange can. This could "EMERGE " as the best energy drink!

Advantages: Ok tasting and seems to give a little energy boost.
Disadvantages: Full of sugar and calories.

The main question then would be does this Emerge energy drink actually give you the desired energy boost and the answer would be yes it does and although it is not going to turn you into superman (or woman) it is going to perk you up a bit after exercise and it certainly does as much for you as the much more expensive brand s do. Red bull sells at around £1.35 per tin or 4 tins for £5; whereas you can grab yourself a tin of Emerge from some places for as low as 39p. I would never suggest anyone drinks a lot of this stuff because the health issues are obvious and at the very least you will pile on the pounds, but if you need an energy drink every now and then, then this one makes sense at less than half the price of red bull and tasting almost identical and doing an identical job. Party like a rockstar with rockstar energy drink

Advantages: It's not too pricey for the 500ml can - tastes pretty good - gives a great energy boost
Disadvantages: I've only managed to find it in Tesco

Rockstar Energy Drink

Advantages: It's fairly cheap and serves its purpose as an energy drink.
Disadvantages: Slightly nasty taste followed by an even nastier aftertaste.

...Rockstar Energy Drink About this drink: Well apart from the immediate "Rockstar make drinks since when?" reaction, then followed by the immediate disappointment when you realise it's not the same Rockstar Inc, there's nothing incredibly noteworthy about this drink. It DOES claim to be "Double the size, double the kick", presumably being the larger brother of a 250ml can, but despite being advertised on their website, I've never myself seen such a can. Another "interesting" little snippet is that not only is there an "Original flavour" (which I can only presume tastes vile), you can also get your grubby little mits on guava, mango, pomegranate, and, wait for it, coffee flavours. Yes, that's right. Coffee flavoured caffeine. What will they think of next(!) Appearance, aroma, argh? To the eye: It's a rather worrying yellow colour...

IF YOU WANT TO ROCK ALL NIGHT-DRINK ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK

Advantages: It is a good energy drink

...ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK. I am always looking for different energy drinks for my daughter who needs them to maintain her energy levels because she has ME.. This energy drink contains the powerful herbal ingredients of Guarana,Ginkgo,Ginseng and Milk Thistle which when all these ingredients are put together they can provide an amazing energy drink for anyone who needs an energy boost. Also there is caffeine in the drink as well. The best way to enjoy the drink is to have it chilled. It is very refreshing and it is not too fizzy. The mango flavour one yes you taste the mango and also the one that has guava in it. There is also another drink which has pomegranate in it but that one I did not enjoy as much neither did my daughter but it does depend on the individual and their taste. Rockstar Energy Drink! Party like a rockstar.

Advantages: Generous sizing, gives you a BOOST of energy and tasty.
Disadvantages: Possibly harmful in copious amounts.

However some of you may be put off by the slight hitch that energy drinks have a slight tendency to be a bit unhealthy for you. So what, I drink rockstar, but I`m not hyper...tralala

Advantages: Tastes nice and comes in a good looking tin.
Disadvantages: Does not do much for energy levels in my opinion.

...Energy drinks come in so many fashions these days, probably the most popular or at least the most well known is Red Bull, then you have all the others that are looking for a piece of the energy drink market with everyone from the Lucozade brand down to asda and Tesco themselves offering drinks that will supposedly fill you with energy. I have yet to see any positive proof that these really do give you any more energy than that, that you would get from any other fizzy drink and it is basically all down to the glucose and sugar contents these drinks have, which is also why they all taste so sickeningly sweet. So then is there an energy drink out there that I do like then? Well yes actually there is and it goes by the name ?Rockstar?. The Rockstar energy drink has a much less sweet taste to it, it is still sweet of course but nowhere...

32 Flavours in 1 energy drink - Irn Bru 32

Advantages: Tasty energy drink
Disadvantages: None for me

Typical values per 100ml: Energy ? 202 kj / 47 kcal, Protein ? 0g, Carbohydrate ? 11.5g, Fat ? 0g, Vitamins - Niacin 8mg (44% RDA), Pantothenic acid 2mg (33% RDA), B6 2mg (100% RDA), B12 2µg (200% RDA) RDA = Recommended Daily Allowance So what does it taste like? I like to try differebnt energy drinks but this has to be my favourite. I love Irn Bru and this is exactly that but with the added caffine. It tastes much better than many of its rivals, and at 79p for 330 ml compared with 99p for 250ml of Red Bull represents good value. Oh did you know that it origially came in a 250ml can but then they made it bigger. How much bigger, if you?ve not aready guessed it its 32%. I personally find that I would need to drink 2 cans to really feel a difference but it does work. Why not give this one a go sometime?..its Phenomonal. Also...

Lipovitan highly recommended energy drink

Advantages: good vitamin content

...Since I have had general health problems,I decided to up my vitamin intake to see if this would give me more energy. I would highly recommend this energy drink that I buy from my local Asda store. This gold coloured can is a natural fizzy drink with a difference.It contains Ginseng and Royal jelly extract which are both natural compounds famous for their energy and revitalising properties. It costs 68p for 250mls.but does not contain alcohol,nor is it artificial,and it is perfect if you are run down,low on the Bvitamins as it also contains triple B- complex vitamins,and so-would be ideal for those that suffer PMT iron deficiency,and anemia,like me!Also,good for your nerves,stress! Children could also benefit,but the taste is an aquired flavour,so introduce it gradually,it will be well worth the effort!!Also,it does contain caffeine...

BIG BLUE ENERGY BLAST!!!!

It is bright blue in colour and tastes very sweet, not everyone will like the sugary taste but some will. It is gluten free and is known to give you energy. It's Blue! When I first saw this bright blue drink my first reaction was, 'God, that's blue!', as I think a lot of people reading this will also think when they first see it! The fact that it is bright blue might put some people off. The colour put me off at first because I thought there must be so many artificial colourings in it to get it to be that colour (I am slightly allergic to artificial additives, they give me headaches etc).
