...We often have a good grumble about the amount of junk mail and flyers that come through the letterbox and if the Betterware representative is delivering his catalogues then that can be like a red rag to a bull. Betterware do have some good ideas but I get so annoyed because the rep expects you to leave the catalogue outside of the door for him to collect within the next couple of days. I just feel that anything left outside of the front door signals that you may not be at home or you could even be away on holiday, so more often than not I end up in hot pursuit of the Betterware representative as he makes his way down the road. Overdoor towel rails, not the most exciting product in the world but certainly a very useful thing to have. Our bathroom is compact, we have no room for a free standing towel rail or even a wall mounted...

...Heat magazine....... I have to admit it, although rather ashamed to, but I love a bit of trashy celebrity gossip on a regular basis. I find reading about the lives of people who get paid to be under the spotlight sometimes rather uplifting and as my friends are mostly into the same things as me it gives us something else to chat mindlessly about that isn't work or children! Heat magazine is, I find, the best celebrity magazine available although costing fractionally more than others on the shelves it is worth paying that bit extra for. ...Everyone is looking for ways to save money at the moment and I recently looked at the kitchen towel in my kitchen and decided that I would try something cheaper for a week or two and see how I got on. Each roll has perforations and contains what appears to be a standard amount of kitchen towel. To use a piece I simply roll it out and then pull near the perforations and one piece will break away. I used this kitchen towel for a variety of things such as wiping my hands, cleaning up spillages and even for cleaning the windows. ...I too suffer daily at the hands of Northern Rail. Overcrowding, delays and cancellations are the most common problems. After three years of travelling to work using this company, i am able to say that from experience, there has been no improvement in the level of service for the £300,000,000 tax payers money that is annually chucked their way. The service provided by Northern rail is thrown into sharp contrast by that of Trans Pennine Express who have invested in new trains and actually understand the concept of customer service. I read with interest an interview with the boss of Trans Pennine who explained that, when travelling on his trains, he makes a point of announcing his presence on the train to elicit feedback from his customers. I can only imagine what would be done to the boss of Northern rail if he/she was to follow...
