Rest Your Wrist
Review of Kensington Height Adjustable Keyboard / Mouse Rest - keyboard/mouse wrist rest by
Surj1
Advantages: Comfortable gel pad, Height adjustable
Disadvantages: Can be uncomfortable sometimes
...The Kensington height adjustable gel keyboard rest is a comfortable way of typing or using your mouse. That's the reason I got one of these even though I don't use it much now.
The keyboard rest consists of a comfortable gel pillow which is a conveniently designed mould to adapt the shape of your wrist. This distributes the pressure you apply more evenly. It also has height adjustment for two different heights. This is done by removing the gel pillow, turning the base over.
The design is solid and sturdy with added grip on the base making it skid proof. It will not bug you by constantly moving around. The keyboard rest comes in two different colours, black and blue.
Main features and functions:
- Height adjustable
- Gel keyboard/mouse rest
- Black or blue
- 554 x 86 x 50 cm
- 713 g
Overall this is a good thing to have if you...

Really Cool
Review of Hedstrom Brecon Play Gym by
PaulBed
Advantages: Cheap, straightforward to assemble
Disadvantages: Too small for grown ups
..."Really cool, especially the glider ride" this was my 7 year olds son's assessment when I asked him last night what he thought of his new swing frame.
The Hedstrom Snowden Multiplay (used to be called the Brecon Multigym) as described in the Argos catalogue:
`Two height adjustable rope swings and a glider ride for two children
Made from painted steele tube
Construction time 2 people x 1 hour
Maximum load per ride 45kg
Height 181cm, width 154cm, depth 272cm`
If you thought that the two "height adjustable" swings sound impressive don't get too excited. The heigth adjustment is done by tying the ropes to the swing frame at your desired height. If you want to adjust later you simply un-tie and re-tie in a different place!!
The box arrived at 10.30 in the morning and I (with help from my wife and a very excited son!) started work...

King of the Castle
Review of Mamas & Papas Prima Pappa High Chair by
Doolally-Tap
Advantages: Comfortable, adjustable, easy to clean
Disadvantages: Heavy, difficult to manouver, not very transportable
...This high chair is very very comfortable for my 18 month old son. He has been using it since around 9 months old.
It is fully adjustable - you can adjust the height to a low chair, or to table height. The low chair height is very handy if you would like to sit down whilst you feed your child.
The seat itself also reclines which means it's great for younger babies who maybe cannot support themselves very well yet.
The tray is nice and large to accommodate a feast of goodies, as well as toys and drinks. It is also easily removed for cleaning.
The chair is covered in waterproof padded material for comfort and easy cleaning.
The disadvantages of this product are that it is very heavy to move around. It used to be sold with wheels which would have made it a lot easier, but this has now been discontinued.
Folding and unfolding...

Basic toaster
Review of Tefal TT 704116 2 Slice by
synchro
Advantages: Adjustable degree of toasting
Disadvantages: Uneven toasting on sides of bread
...The Tefal Classic toaster provides for 2 slices of standard size bread. It has a facility to adjust the height of the 'pop-up' when the toasting is done. So, if crumpets or smaller slices are put in, the adjustment allows them to be popped up to the height of the top, and not be left within the toaster (so saving burnt fingers trying to retrieve them!) Generally it performs well. However, it does not toast evenly. The inner elements do not glow very red at all. The result is bread that is unevenly toasted. The degree of toasting can be adjusted with an electronic device. This works quite well, allowing for a light toasting to well burnt! The evenness of toasting as mentioned before is what lets it down. The crumb tray is modest. Most of the crumbs are caught and can be emptied easily. The cable can be tidied underneath, but never seems...

Porter cable-flex router
Review of Porter Cable Flex Router by
bungler
Advantages: 66mm plunge, 1300W induction motor,1/2" collet
Disadvantages: A bit heavy for some hand held work
...Specification
1300W induction motor,
½” collet,
Micro adjust Guide fence,
Built-in fine height adjuster – 0.2mm divisions.
Plunge operated by a thumb lever,
Rubber coated ergonomicly shaped handles,
Locking on-off switch,
Plunge depth 66mm,
Cost £200
Background - I decided to buy a router for my woodworking hobby because I wanted to be able to make rebates and joints simply and quickly for the times when making ‘handmade’ joints would be repetitive if After using the machine for ~6 months here is a list of why I think it’s a good choice for both table mounted and hand-held use:
Table mounted opinion:
1) Long plunge depth of 66mm - Compares to around 55mm offered by most of the competition at the same price (including Dewalt and Trend machines).
2) Integrated fine height adjuster – Allows the height to be adjusted fairly easily when...

Versatile and easy to use
Review of Mothercare Antigua Star High Chair by
cherryfalls
Advantages: It is extremely versatile, easy to use and is comfortably padded.
Disadvantages: none
...This is Mothercare's version of the Dolce Vita highchair but without the expense. It is blue with white stars on it and is extremely versatile.
The chair can be adjusted to four different heights and also has three different seat positions to choose from. You can lay the seat quite far back for younger babies, in a middle ground for older babies and straight up for toddlers. It has a large feeding tray, which can be used attached to the chair for feeding in your front room for example or can be removed for easier feeding at the dinner table.
This large feeding tray is great if you have a few highchair toys because there is plenty of room to have them on it while you have the feeding bowl, bottle etc there also. Just be careful that your child isn't too distracted from eating by the other activities that are there as it can get...

Dull but reliable
Review of Citroen ZX by
teen
Advantages: great handling
Disadvantages: high servicing costs
...A dull looking but solidly built car, I owned one of these for 2 years.
On the plus side, it had a lovely gear change, nice velour seats and the dashboard and instrument panel looked great when lit up at night. The driving position was comfortable with the driver’s seat having adjustable height - ideal for us shorties! Equipment levels were good with electric everything and it was the only car I’ve ever driven that’s had a headrest that fits me. Steering (PAS) was excellent, as was the handling and road holding.
Headroom in the bag is poor but the back seat was sliding, allowing legroom / boot space to be adjusted to suit.
My main gripe was the high price of servicing at Citroen main dealers and the heavy fuel consumption....

Peter the Punto!
Review of Fiat Punto 1.2 by
Rhona
Advantages: that all important "girlie" button!
Disadvantages: everyone asking about the "girlie" button!!!
...ok.....i named my car! I had to.....what else am i meant to say when i talk to it?!?!
Anyway.....this is a great little car to run around in. There is plenty of space in the boot for a wheelchair and then there's the back seat for the all important shopping! The power steering is lighter than any i've tried in a while and the "girlie" button proves itself in those tight spots. The dash is easy to see and clearly laid out. The height adjustable seat and steering column make it a more comfortable drive while the lumber adjuster in the drivers seat means extra support on those longer journeys. Over all an excellant car to drive and so light to handle. Teh only thing missing is the guy from the ad!!!!...

Small but big!
Review of Renault Clio 1.2 by
smillar
Advantages: Economical, spacious, reliable and ample boot space
Disadvantages: None so far!
...Being 4ft nothing, I am somewhat limited when looking for a family car! I fell in love with the Clio and cried with joy when I discovered I could reach the pedals and wheel at the same time and fit in my two kids and husband comfortably! I test drove a few small cars (Punto, Peugot 206,306) but nothing compared to the Clio. I can fit a big pushchair and a months shopping in the boot. Even with all the extra weight it is still nippy, reliable and does 100 miles to £10 petrol. The seat is not height adjustable (I tried them in other cars but didn't find them an advantage) but can be pushed far enough forward and the seat belt is height adjustable so that I am not chewing on it!
I bought it from Reg Vardy in Hall Green, Birmingham who were wonderful and found me exactly what I was looking for at a very reasonable price.
My 1998, R reg...
