Advantages: How refreshing and beautiful.
Disadvantages: not dark and bitter, some may say it is pissy or watery.

...thought and consideration, basically we love the thing. "HOW REFRESHING...HOW HEINEKEN" Imprint this in your mind, the ads are great, the man who made it is great, the beer is great and the bottle is great anyone for a drink, choose Heineken, the no. 1 !!! Premium lager, exported from the beer capitalof the world or so I think. A gorgeous delicious, creamy, refreshing, cold, bitter-sweet symphonie of music and of pure elegance, all wrapped up in a splendidly styled , green adn red, bottle, see buy and fly into your imagination. Live the music, live MR HEINEKEN AND LONG LIVE THE QUEEN OF HOLLAND!!?......

Heineken - a bland of hops and malt

Advantages: Quite refreshing
Disadvantages: Uninteresting, bad aftertaste

...sampling beers that are less than interesting. One such beer is HEINEKEN lager. * THE BREWERY * Heineken took it's first steps on the road to becoming a giant in the world of brewing in 1863, when a certain Mr. Heineken bought the Haystack Brewery in Amsterdam. According to legend, or his mother, his goal was to tackle the problem of alcoholism by offering the public a light beer as an alternative to stronger spirits such as gin. (Very altruistic.) Although the Haystack Brewery was the largest in Amsterdam, he soon had to move to larger premises, and by 1874 was already exporting. Today Heineken is the second most imported brand in the USA behind Corona. Heineken now has over 100 breweries around the world, and in fact, only Anheuser-Busch brews more beer. The beer is sold in 170 countries, while their second brand, Amstel, is...

Export strength lager at it's best

Advantages: Great tasting lager and its refreshing too
Disadvantages: A little pricey compared to weaker lagers

...I am a man of many tastes, as my previous reviews on alcoholic beverages would suggest. I enjoy a refreshing cider, and a cheap lager, but what about an enjoyable slightly pricier drink? I'm not a spirit man, so my dabbling tends to take me to the higher spectrum of the lager tap. Away from the Castlemain?s, the Carlings and Fosters, it?s time for a finer pint. What of Stella Artois or Hoegaarden or even Staropramen? All good on occasion, but when one beer is there it takes the choice out of my hands and into my pockets, it?s got to be a Heineken. Whilst I don?t want to sound like Jeffery from Blue Velvet, I am oddly drawn to the green glow of a Heineken tap. It stems primarily from a holiday in Greece where they sell only 3 types of beer Amstel, Mythos (home brand) and Heineken. Prior to this trip Heineken was just a tepid...

And let us remember the great men that made this beautiful drink, and MR ALFRED HEINEKEN who is alive and well at the moment in 2001. This great mastermind has brought music and beer to our world and should be proud of his great achievements, let him live a little longer please so that he can carry on loving and being loved by all that were originally created by him the King of BEER and MUSIC OF COURSE!!! Let the drink be praised for it is good, it is very good and deserves some thought and consideration, basically we love the thing. Advantages: low price nice taste
Disadvantages: dont realise its gone befor you know it

...heineken export is a very pleasent drink indeed just the right strenth and the taste is very nice as you would expect it tastes a lot better than the normal strenth heineken larger its is perfect for those hot summer days when you are enjoying a bbq, the packaging shown in the picture is very conveinent for carring with the handel and the distintive colours let you know that it is heineken you are picking up and it is quality. i have always found that the beer always tastes better out of the bottle than it does in a can. my advice get some you will not be disapointed. please also note the price is low compared to other largers of the same strenth and the taste does not seem heavy like some largers do....

Review of Heineken Export Lager

Heineken, a mugs game.

Advantages: Well established, relatively cheap brand
Disadvantages: Heavy taste like many European Lagers

...Heineken export is probably not the first beer that comes to mind for drinkers when deciding on what lager to get, it is certainly not the cheapest although it is there or thereabouts, much like any other large scale brewed drink. What the real test for Heineken drinkers will be is the taste, something that is essential for a beer if it is to be drunk regularly. My particular preferences for lager seem to sway to American beers such as Miller and to a lesser degree Budweiser. I enjoy a light crisp beer, and although in Britain we do not get Miller Lite or Budweiser Lite en mass, light beers can still be found. Heineken is a crisp, but rather heavy beer, with a taste that sits on the tongue rather than going down the back of the throat like so many good beers do. However, for the price it is commonly available for in Off...

Review of Heineken Export Lager

Reaches the Parts Other Beers Cannot Reach

Advantages: Refreshing, Quality, Available almost anywhere in the world
Disadvantages: May not be strong enough for some

...Heineken is Holland’s most famous brand of beer and is the leading selling and most well known brand internationally. Heineken is one of my favourite beers primarily because it is available wherever I travel. As some of you may be aware I travel regularly to West Africa and Asia and Heineken is always available wherever I go, be it in cans or bottles. Heineken is a quality lager beer that provides a perfect balance being not too strong and not too light. The quality of the beer has never been in question although taste may differ slightly depending on the way that you have it i.e. in bottles or cans or from the tap. However the difference is nominal and the overall product oozes quality. What I find most favourable about this beer is its very refreshing values. Unlike some beers that tend to fill you up and slow you...

Review of Heineken Brewery, Amsterdam

Zymocenosilicaphobia

Advantages: Tasty, refreshing, inexpensive.
Disadvantages: Not the best lager by a long shot.

...Zymocenosilicaphobia (Zi-mo-cenno-cilly-kafobi-e,) n. Excessive or irrational fear of an empty beer glass; Prejudice or hatred of an empty beer glass. It's true, really it is. Why not have a glass of Heineken? Heineken is a Dutch lager, probably the most famous of all Dutch lagers surpassing the likes of Orangeboom and Grolsch. Although, arguably, Grolsch have the best adverts! Heineken entered the UK market in the 1960's and back then people preferred the weaker beers and ales to Lagers so Heineken produced a weaker version of their popular lager and Heineken Cold Filtered was born! Then in 1985, to meet the demands of an ever increasing lager drinking culture, a stronger lager - Heineken Export - was born. On the 24th of February in 2003 Heineken changed forever as the Whitbread based brewery's license ended and real...

Review of Heineken Export Lager

Ten Green Bottles!

Advantages: Pleasant to drink lager
Disadvantages: May get drunk if drink too many

...Recently I celebrated a BIG birthday and had a retirement party, my husband bought some lager as well as wine, the lager was Heineken Export and as some was left I decided to try a bottle with my lunch, sitting out in the garden enjoying the April sunshine. I was feeling tired after gardening- that was my excuse! Well, that's what retired people do, don't they? My father was a beer drinker and thought men who drank lager were wimps - that was my husband! But lager is no longer as weak as it was when first introduced to Britain's pubs back in the 1960's. In 1969, (the year we got married) Heineken decided to license the brewing of Heineken Cold Filtered to Whitbread, who looked after the production of the beer locally. Heineken quickly became a huge hit in the UK. Television advertising, like 'Heineken refreshes the parts other...
