...I absolutely adore Helena Rubinstein makeup, and this is no exception. These eye pencils come in several different colours (I have the black, brown, and violet), and they have just come up with a new "shimmering" line. It has the appearence of a normal eye pencil, with golden embossed HR logo and a really nice golden metal capsule on top. Really classy and expensive looking. The texture of both the black and brown pencils is very, very rich. It glides on, leaving loads of colour on. Very silky indeed - not at all like some other pencils that pull and irritate your skin. The violet is not quite so rich and "thick looking", and I believe that has to do with the colour - some colours are just easier to handle, I suppose. ...Dark circles are my biggest complexion problem - no matter what I do, whether it's more sleep, more water, eye creams, they don't seem to budge. ...A mid life crisis ? - when you wake up in the mornings, take a look in the mirror and discover that you have eyes that look like arrow slits due to water retention then that is a crisis in my books. I never had any problems with puffy eyes until I entered my fifties and then it started with a vengeance. There is nothing that you can do, you just have to wait until the slight swelling starts to disappear but if you have planned to go out early and are waiting to put your make up on it can be a hindrance. There are not many of the Body Shop products that I would pass on, the products are natural and they are not tested on animals. ...I bought this eye cream (£20) because I'd heard so much about it from a friend and needed something to depuff my eyes after endless nights of revision for exams! The packaging is really cute;-pink see-thru tub with a nice silver screw-on lid. It's the same design as the Anti-Gravity eye cream (see my op) and they're both great for carting off on holiday with you. As I said the Anti-Gravity eye cream was suitable for night-time, this is the day-time version. It's light-weight gel/cream formula. When I first tried this I noticed that it immediately sunk into my skin and left a really velvety effect, making my tired eye area feel lovely! It's basically a version of the Estee Lauder Idealist for your eyes (which I'm obsessed with!). I can't actually emphasise the softness this leaves on your skin! It makes a great day eye cream...

...I was on a business trip to Geneva earlier this year and was wandering about the airport before flying home, well wandering round the whole two shops they have, and decided to treat myself to something from the duty free. I walked past the alcohol and I already had my cigerettes and came accross the Clinique stand. So many people have raved about Clinique products so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to try one out. I spent a long time perusing the shelves and suddenly a small little pot caught my eye.
