Silky, smooth, sultry eyes - all day long.
Advantages: Rich, highly pigmented colours. Very well tolerated.
Disadvantages: None.
...I absolutely adore Helena Rubinstein makeup, and this is no exception.
These eye pencils come in several different colours (I have the black, brown, and violet), and they have just come up with a new "shimmering" line.
It has the appearence of a normal eye pencil, with golden embossed HR logo and a really nice golden metal capsule on top. Really classy and expensive looking.
The texture of both the black and brown pencils is very, very rich. It glides on, leaving loads of colour on. Very silky indeed - not at all like some other pencils that pull and irritate your skin.
The violet is not quite so rich and "thick looking", and I believe that has to do with the colour - some colours are just easier to handle, I suppose. Still, it's the best violet pencil I've ever tried: the colour is vibrant and really beautiful.
I use these...

Don't let the colour fade
Advantages: Smooth, long-lasting, nice glimmer to the colour
Disadvantages: Narrow range of colours, colour can fade if tube is left in the sun, expensive
...no. of shades available: 6
--What does the promo say?--
"Dazzling Shine and Dewy Moisture. Inspired by the fascinating beauty of music hall showgirls dancing under the cabaret spotlights, Helena Rubinstein creates a new staging for your lips. A mesmerizing show of sparkles and glitter for truly dazzling lips."
--Packaging--
Lovely to look at - the clear plastic bottle that the gloss comes in is quite voluptously shaped, as is the lid (when I was given mine the lids were a gold-effect colour; they appear to have now changed this to silver). The applicator provided is a synthetic brush rather than being a sponge, which I must admit I prefer. There is no information given on the bottle itself, with the exception of the Helena Rubinstein logo on the top of the lid and the shade colour on the bottom of the bottle.

Masterpiece Mascara
Advantages: Fuller looking lashes
Disadvantages: not cheap
...Like most women I have tried my fair share of mascara's over the years and have been quite happy with the Maybelline Great Lash mascara for some time now. I try to (if I remember) replace my old tube of mascara every 6 months, but this time instead of buying my normal replacement tube I decided to try Max Factor's Masterpiece mascara, probably largely swayed by the adverts (the one with the girl from Memoirs of a Geisha), to see if it was any better, plus it was on offer in Boots at the time which I must admit was the final deciding factor. I think it normally retails at £8.99 for a 4.5ml tube which for me is quite expensive. It comes in three colours: Rich Black; Black Brown and Deep Blue. I tried Rich Black.
The blurb claims that the new iFX brush that comes with the Masterpiece mascara is the first of its kind. It is designed to...

An Average Mascara
Advantages: Doesn't irritate eyes, no clumps
Disadvantages: Brush too flexible, doesn't lengthen lashes
...Sorry, this really is my last mascara review, I promise. I got suckered into buying this as my Boots did not have what I wanted in stock. To cut a long story short (that I wont bore you with) I realised that I needed a brown mascara, mainly because black mascara and brown eyeliner do not go, and black eyeliner looks stupid on me. I was in the vicinity of my local Boots anyway, so I decided to pop in to get a tube of Maybelline Great Lash mascara in brown, unfortunately it was out of stock. I then noticed the huge display about their new Define-a-Lash mascara, and like the gullible idiot that I am I was convinced that I needed a tube, so I promptly bought one in brown. It cost me £7.49, full price, but much to my dismay I then saw it on offer a few days later.

It's mascara - just mascara
Advantages: No frills, great colour, long lasting
Disadvantages: A little expensive
...For more years than I care to remember I have bought mascara. I've bought cheap mascara, expensive mascara, lengthening mascara, and thickening mascara but what I have never bought is the same mascara twice in a row. Actually that isn't quite true because I love coloured mascaras (i.e. any colour other than black or brown) and so if I find a colour I like I buy that over and over again until they discontinue it usually! However I always put coloured mascara over black or brown mascara to help intensify the colour and even then only on the tips. So it doesn't really matter to me if coloured mascara does what it says on the tin. But it does matter to me that a black or brown mascara does what it claims. And that is why I have never bought two of one brand twice in a row because frankly I have never found one that does what it claims to do...

Flirty mascara
Advantages: Thickens lashes
Disadvantages: None for me
...Va va voom mascara
Needing a new mascara, and with a special introductory offer on this one, as well as an eye shadow palette, I deceide to give it a whirl.
This is described as the mascara which is going to give me flirty, fabulous lashes so that?s a bit fantastic, and rather like the marketing of most other mascaras.
PRODUCT AND PACKAGING...
The mascara is fairly eye catching and not at all subtle with its purple and black design interspersed with stars and circles. When I unscrew the top, the brush does as promised have oversized bristles and the brush itself is bigger than I would normally expect. This big wand is apparently what I need to create big, dramatic lashes in one easy sweep, and the expected unique ingredient means that I can apply as many coats of the stuff as I want without my lashes getting clumpy.

Volume mascara
Advantages: thicker, longer lashes, deep black colour,
Disadvantages: tricky to apply, does not last long
...This mascara varies in price depending where you buy it, but is a good purchase for under £10, available from most high street retailers.
I have used a number of different mascaras in my time, in the search of the longer, fuller lashes that they all seem to boast in the adverts. This mascara is one of the best that I have found for giving longer and fuller lashes. It's a nice dark shade of black and I have been complimented on my eyelashes whilst wearing it (!) . However, I do not find it the easiest to apply, with the wand quite short and the brush quite small. It is also prone to smudging, it is meant to be waterproof and is to an extent, but I'm not entirely confident it wouls withstand too many tears!
In my opinion, the product does not last very long either, going quite 'gunky' after only a short period of time and needing...

Great mascara!
Advantages: Good value, works brilliantly, nice bottle
Disadvantages: none
...I have tried so many mascaras and the only one I have found so far that I am happy with is a Clinique one which is expensive so I mainly use it when I?m out at night or weekends. I kind of gave up finding a cheaper brand mascara that is really good, until I heard about this. My friend bought it when we were shopping together and was trying it out when we got home and it worked really well making her eyelashes look really long and full. So on Saturday I bought my own from Boots. At £7.25 it wasn?t exactly really cheap but was still better value than designer brands.
The Packaging?
It comes in a really eye catching bottle, which is a lovely metallic purple colour with ?Sexy Curves? written on the front It is quite a big bottle although it doesn?t hold any more mascara than most others. Overall the bottle looks nice and good...

My mascara!!!
Advantages: Lashes are thicker and have more volum´, nice dark colour
Disadvantages: High price
....

Hello all,
now I´m here again and I want to write something about my new mascara.
I´m from Germany and I´m so sorry, but my english is very bad...!
Last week I went to the chemist´s, because I like to collect mascaras a. s. o.
Where do I buy my mascara?
I usually buy most of my cosmetics at the chemist´s, because I can get everything I need there, for example make-up, lipstick, eyeshadow, shampoo a. s. o. and now my NEW MASCARA from Maybelline Jade!
Also I don´t like the hectic atmosphere in big stores!
(In Germany my chemist´s is the "dm", because this shop sells almost everything for the beauty.)
What does it cost?
In Germany: 8,95 ?
In England: 5 - 7 ???
Which colour?
I took brown, because I have green eyes and a black mascara is always too dark for me; I mean, the colour is too hard, because my face ist...

My perfect Mascara-L'Oreal Telescopic Mascara
Advantages: The volume, Price,
Disadvantages: Non that i can think of
...After searching for what seemed like forever for a mascara that lived up to its hype i finally found one i love, this to me is the Holy Grail of Mascara.
I purchased this Mascara from Boots for £8.99 which i thought was a resonable price and alot cheaper than my usually YSL mascara. I wanted a change from my usual mascara as i found that it was drying out quite quickly and paying £20.00 was starting to annoy me. So after buying alot of different Mascara's which didnt live up to their hype in my opinion, i decided to try this one.
After getting home i was so excited to try this, i bought the L'Oreal Telescopic Carbon Black which comes in a black tube not the usual Greyish one, as far as im aware they dont have a waterproof one in the Carbon Black but they do in the norman Telescopic range. On taking the wand out of the tube i was...
