Disadvantages: No real news. Just pretty pictures!

.... Just plain juicy gossip from the people that are usually on our TV screens. THE WORLD IN PICTURES This is a weekly roundup of interesting things from around the world. There is usually 4 or 5 interesting pictures with a light hearted article explaining what's happened, in this weeks edition to give you an example there is a half page picture of hundreds of clowns (yes clowns!) who have celebrated their 13th international convention in Mexico city. I always find these pictures interesting and different. Something out of the ordinary. At times it can be nice to compare what others are doing while you sitting at a desk at work! ...Sometimes we need something to do to amuse ourselves... no not that, get your mind out of the gutter. We write, we paint, we play a sport and we read. The list could probably go on forever. ...beliefs in the modern world? Although we don't go to church so much any more, do we still feel we need role models to look up to? Is this magazine cashing in on that? Why is Hello! giving celebrities some kind of God-like status? Along with the rest of the media, this magazine is trying to tell us that this is the kind of life we should aspire to have; perfect houses; perfect families; perfect size 8 figures and perfect smiling babies? No wonder so many people are so unhappy in this world, it seems we are all striving for things we can never have, and don't really need. Hello! tries to bring itself a modicum of credibility in the "Panorama" section, where pictures of worldwide news happenings, (such as Sarah Payne's parents coming face to face with their daughter's killer) are displayed with a few lines of text explaining the story. Advantages: The children love it
Disadvantages: Not great for grownups, irritating songs which get repeated all the time!

...see the Pontipines come out of their house and we count them and then they do a little dance and return inside. The Pinky Ponk flies into the garden with the Tomblibooes and Makka Pakka onboard. The Tombliboos and Makka Pakka say hello and dance. We see the Pinky Ponk fly around the garden. Upsy Daisy and Igglepiggle are in the garden and they sing and dance and then go off waving. The pontipines are out for a walk looking for the Pinky Ponk. The Pinky Ponk lands and we see the Pontipines, Igglepiggle and Upsy Daisy getting onboard. The Pinky Ponk goes for a fly around the garden but becomes stuck in the branches of the trees. All aboard the Pinky Ponk start to rock forward and back to free the Pinky Ponk. ...When I was in need of a new shampoo and conditioner I was delighted to find the new Herbal Essences range on BOGOF in Boots. I had used the previous range in the past and was more than happy to buy a big bottle of the shampoo and the conditioner for about £3 and collected my Advantage card points as well. I selected the Hello Hydration products as I have highlighted hair that I do subject to heated appliances on a regular basis. I always select products designed for damaged or dry hair and so luckily I have been keeping my hair in reasonable condition. The product is presented in a lovely looking blue bottle with promises of orchid and coconut extracts. The conditioner bottle sits in an upside down position, to use you have to press the lid underneath which opens a slot for the conditioner to escape from. This is useful as...
