...This is the second of my ops on crackers from this company. The first op covered the Salt and Black Pepper variety. This op covers the Garden Herb variety. I bought them at the same time, in the same shop, and I've not seen these before either!. ** What are they? ** They are rice crackers, containing herbs. I find them really good for a quick snack (they are probably better for you than crisps too!) ** What's the pack like? ** The pack is black, fading into a green colour. There is a picture of the crackers on the front, and they do look identical to the contents. ...After the herb reviews went down a storm I did a review on "How to make a herb garden" (http://www.ciao.co.uk/MemberAdviceonHerbsSpicesReview5630783) I have been thinking this week about the people who may not have the room for a big herb garden. So I have decided to do a review all about "Herb garden in containers" So where do we start, well what herbs can be grown on containers, the answer is nearly all of them can. There is a few that are not to happy but the majority are happy to grow in them. Think about what herbs you want to grow as some herbs will grow tall like the "Feverfew" which can grow between 2 and 4 foot high and will need a bigger and wider container, but don't forget about something like a chamomile which would need a small container as it only grows a few inches. I smell like a herb garden

Advantages: Skin was smooth-ish, but not the best result ever
Disadvantages: Smells horrible and gave me a headache

...and mandarin sound like they should be in a kitchen more than the bathroom and it turns out the product smells that way too. Rather than smelling like I'd just got out of a shower, I smelt like I had been running through a herb garden, and it wasn't pleasant. On occasions where I spent quite a while in the shower, the fragrance actually gave me a headache rather than relaxing or refreshing me! The fragrance did linger on my skin for around an hour or so after leaving the shower, but after that it was gone. The list of ingredients on the base of the packaging would suggest that all of the fragrance in the product is chemical based, rather than ever being from a lime, basil, or mandarins. My skin came out okay after taking showers with this product. It wasn't as moisturised as some shower products would have left it, but at least it wasn't so...

Gardening for Wildlife

Advantages: Encourages a mini eco-system right on your doorstep
Disadvantages: Does involve a small amount of effort!

...and if the sun is shining its covered in butterflies - the most I counted in one sitting was eleven. Birds love the seeds in the autumn and winter months. Thyme and Rosemary - Bees adore these two popular garden herbs, and the fact they are easy to grow (just put them in a sunny spot, well drained soil, and a sheltered position, and they will grow quite happily for you!) makes them a perfect choice for the wildlife gardener - they also taste great on potatoes and meat dishes! Birds Foot Trefoil - this is a wild flower, usually found along hedgerows I think, and I managed to grow some from seed a few years ago (The Organic Seed Company have details of this and other wild seeds, see below for details) - and it is so vigorous, and has tiny little yellow flowers, like miniature sweet peas - birds eat the seeds, and butterflies and moths feed...

The Spice Garden - No Garden, Plenty of Spice

...Another week brought another visit from my hungry curry-loving colleague Joep. I had no plans for the evening and asked if he wanted to have dinner. His eyes lit up; "Can we have curry?" he asked excitedly. And so at around 6.30pm we left the office to go in search of a new curry restaurant that we'd not tried before. I'd spotted the Spice Garden on my way to work that morning and decided that this time it would get our custom. The world (well the UK anyway ? and India, Bangladesh, Pakistan etc?..you get what I mean) is full of curry restaurants and in the middle of a recession we should spread our pennies around and try to support a new one each time until we run out or get food poisoning. ...The Alnwick Garden in Northumberland is a really lovely place to visit, as I discovered recently when in the area. I had decided to visit on the recommendation of a friend who had recently spent a day there, and had spent quite a while telling me about it afterwards.
