True Herbal Essence smelling dye-weird!
Advantages: Doesn't smell chemically, leaves hair soft
Disadvantages: Doesn't take to red hair very well
...the packaging, and this brand is far more exciting to look at on the shelves than the others. It has purple sparkle, the expected picture of the model loving her new colour, list of its advantages and ingredients, nothing out of ordinary, it simply looks nicer than all the other boxes.
In the box you get the dye, bottle of mix which the dye is mixed with, a 6 week treatment conditioner and 'posh' feeling gloves.
These feel much better standard than most given in the home dye kits. There is also an instruction page which suggests testing for allergic reactions and the strand test. I would advise doing the strand test as this will determine how long the dye stays on for. Herbal essence recommend 20 mins at least, but it can go up to 40 mins if you wish, the strand test gives indication of how long your hair will need. Mine is about 35 mins...

Herbal Essences - Hello Hydration (new range)
Advantages: Lovely smell, great results
Disadvantages: Not keen on packaging
...I got this as a sample in the post after a free samples link went round at work. I?ve never used Herbal Essences shampoo before but had noticed it more since the new packaging that came out this month. (Although I?m actually not that keen on the new packaging)
The samples came folded into a nice envelope with loads of details about the new range printed on it. Despite not being that keen on the new bottles I did like the presentation of the samples I received, everything looks really bright and fun and it is eye catching and suits the range which I known for being really fruity and fresh.
What it promises?
?Quench thirsty hair with our moisturizing shampoo fused with orchid & coconut milk. Essential moisturizers help replenish your pretty, parched head with hair that is silky and supple.?
Usually I go for volume...

Herbal Essences is a great brand at a great price!
Advantages: Smells lovely, does what it says
Disadvantages: Can't think of any
..., and people became more aware of what they were using, and making sure it was natural and organic. But, because of its success, an increasing population of non-organic buyers started using these products. Whether or not these shampoo and conditioners are completely organic anymore, I don't know, but what I can tell you is I certainly feel the product is natural and inartificial and is worth buying.
They come in different categories of essences, such as herbs and botanicals, rainforest flowers and fruit fusions, and also are grouped depending on what purpose it supplies for your hair, to restore it to its full potential. The different hair types are dry/damaged, normal to oily, coloured and herbal essence manages to provide shampoos and conditioner in order to aid you when washing your hair, and making it look the best it possibly can.

Herbal Essences Citrus Lift
Advantages: Adds a bit of volume, lasting gorgeous smell
Disadvantages: None
...extracts, will leave you feeling revitalised and your hair at its most beautiful" It also claims to "Nourish your hair weightlessly. Reveal radiantly shiny hair that is full of life. Leaves your hair manageable and easy to style"
It also has directions for use and the list of ingredients.
When you open the bottle straight away the gorgeous citrus smell hits you - you can really smell tangerines. It has a nice creamy texture in a peach colour which isn't too thick. I use a small palm-full to smooth into my hair and in my opinion the smell is so nice I could eat it!! When I wash my hair in the morning the smell does help wake me up so I guess Herbal Essences claim of it being revitalising could be true! If you're not a fan of cirtus smells though this is not for you as very overpowering.
I must admit I wasn't really expecting it...

Colour me Happy!
Advantages: Cleans hair making it fresh
Disadvantages: Not a great smell
...Herbal Essences - Clairol Colour Me Happy, Shine Enhancing Shampoo for Coloured Hair
**WHAT IT DOES**
Herbal Essences is a hair care range. This particular product is a shampoo, which has been specifically designed for coloured hair. It is supposed to replenish your hair making it more manageable. It has conditioners in it to protect your hair leaving it radiant and healthy. So in short it is supposed to get your hair clean and condition it at the same time.
**PACKAGING**
I have to say when Herbal Essences changed their packaging I didn't realise it was there product as it was a radical change. At the start I thought it made the product seem cheaper. Since then I have changed my mind. The bottle is funky with a fluorescent green lid and trendy pink in colour. The writing on the bottle is in white, which is clear to read...

New Herbal Essences Range - bring back the old!
Advantages: bigger bottle, same price
Disadvantages: Far lower quality product and nothing like the brilliant salon quality before
...I have been a huge fan of herbal essences Rainforest flowers range for a number of years and used it religously. As I am blessed with Greasy hair that needs a wash every day and have long hair, I was probably one of their best customers.
I say was. I too stocked up on the new range with the new giveaways when they brought them out. Confusing to say the least. I was using the Red bottled Dry/damaged shampoo and conditioner which came with the free "hello hydration" bottles, but reading the back of the old shampoo it said "your new shampoo will be called frizz fighter" so that was confusing to start off with.
Over the years of using the old Herbal Essences range I've had compliments from both my hairdresser and friends on how brilliantly glossy and conditioned my hair is, despite having soft highlights in it for a number...

Clairol herbal essences
Advantages: smells gorgeous for days
Disadvantages: Can be a bit pricy in some stores
...Clairol Herbal Essences
I was shopping in Safeway the other day and I needed to buy some more shampoo. I have previously used different brands and I wanted to buy the dove shampoo, but they didn?t have any left. So I started looking for another brand.
I noticed Clairol herbal essences because of the bottle. It comes in a 250ml bottle with clear packaging and has a lovely picture of a bunch of roses on the back, which you can see through the pink, coloured content. Clairol use 25% post consumer recycled plastic for their bottles and they?re also recyclable so it helps save the environment too. It costs £2.19 but when I looked closer, it was on a ?buy one get one free? offer so I got the conditioner to go with it as well. What a bargain!!!!!!
You can buy different bottles for different hair types for example, greasy...

Herbal Essences - OH YES !!
Advantages: The best smelling shampoo ever!
Disadvantages: Makes you hungry! or maybe thats just me hehe
...Oh yes!! The phrase known from the advert and the perfect way to describe the feeling you get from this product. Herbal Essences Fruit Fusion looks and smells delicious and actually makes my mouth water just smelling the delectable scent it leaves on my hair for days. (Not that I go days without showering or anything! What do you take me for?)
Through this review you will notice that I talk about the product as though its edible ? its not, so please don't! But if I could eat it I would.
What is Fruit Fusions?
Fruit Fusions is an addition to the Clairol Herbal Essences Range that uses fruit extracts to help give your hair that little extra kick.
Normal Hair - A pink bottle, which contains extracts of Lychee, Pomegranate and Persimmon.
Normal to Greasy Hair - a green bottle, which contains extracts of Kiwi, Kumquat and Fig.

Bye Bye Dry Hair, Hello Herbal Essences
Advantages: Works wonders on dry and damaged hair
Disadvantages: Nothing!
...Initially I was drawn to the Clairol Herbal Essences range of hair conditioners through their seductive adverts preceding Desperate Housewives. Normally advertisements have little effect on my purchasing decisions. In fact, I usually press the mute button in defiance when adverts blatantly interrupt my TV programme.
However, something about these adverts, with those women erupting into ecstatic convulsions while using Clairol Herbal Essences, had a positive influence over me.
I was further persuaded by the Clairol name. I thought Clairol might be a wise choice because I use the Clairol hair colours and have done for years. Included in the box along with the colouring lotion is a little tube of Clairol conditioner. This conditioner works better than anything else I've ever tried, so much so that one day, over 10 years ago, I...

Herbal Essences Leave In Conditioner
Advantages: Detangles hair, smells nice, makes hair softer
Disadvantages: Doesn't condition hair
...I'm one of those people who just can't be bothered to carefully shampoo twice, condition my hair, and fix it up with hair serum, straightening balm, wax, etc etc. The most effort I make is using a 2-in-1 shampoo and sticking some hair serum to flatten down flyaways.
I thought the answer would be this: Herbal Essences Leave In Conditioner. I could just spray some in after washing my hair, and voila, conditioned hair with none of the effort!
---
PACKAGING: It comes in a minty-pale green bottle, with a darker green pump spray. The writing is dark green, and there is a picture of some sort of flower on the front, in a circle. It looks cheap, and not at all impressive. What's worse is the writing is in Times New Roman, which I think looks quite common and unattractive! The bottle is quite bulky as well. It contains 200ml.
PRICE: I...
