Real herbal teas with lots of flavour (update 2)

Advantages: Organic, tasty

The other day I read in the paper that Hibiscus tea was supposed to be good for reducing high blood pressure and because my GP is concerned about mine I went to internet in search of Hibiscus tea! According the YOU magazine you can "Help your heart by drinking red hibiscus tea: research shows that drinking about three cups daily can help effectively lowers high blood pressure, which affects one in five adults. Not My Cup of Tea...

Advantages: Organic. Caffeine Free.
Disadvantages: Bitter smell. Expensive.

I've always been a big fan of Tea Tree Oil for spots, so I was intrigued to see that they sold something called Herbal Authority Tea Tree Oil Lozenges. These promised to be a "soothing yet effective comfort for the throat." It further stated "This product is specially formulated for those times when you need strong relief". I went and bought it straight away, willing to try anything new when conventional chemist "treatments" had completely failed me. I don't remember the price now but a quick check of the Holland & Barrett website reveals it to be £4.99 per 60-lozenge tub, assuming the web price is the same, which I think it is. Review of Yorkshire Tea

Calming, soothing, tasty herbal tea.

Advantages: caffeine free, not very expensive, tastes good and is good for you.
Disadvantages: This brand can only be found in Lidl.

...I first heard about the benefits of redbush tea via a chat forum, and thought that it would be good to try, as I can't drink too much caffeine due to suffering with IBS. I saw the lord nelson redbush tea in Lidl, and decided to try the vanilla flavour. I drink it with milk, although it is just as nice without. It is naturally sweet, and the vanilla has a very calming and soothing effect. Redbush tea is used by South Africans (where the trea orginates) in babies' bottles to treat colic, and I've found it very comforting when I have IBS cramps. It's also good to drink in the evenings before bed, as it doesn't keep you awake all night. It's only 79p for 25 bags in Lidl, and they do other flavours too - caramel is one of my other favrourites....

Advantages: A fantastic tasting tea!

...I am a huge tea drinker. Mornings aren?t right without a cup of tea straight away, one there is always one before bed. Then, as many as I fancy during the day, which can be anything up to 20 or so. I always have enjoyed drinking tea, but since coming to uni, I seem to drink it even more, probably due partially to fact that water here tastes horrible, even with squash, and I cannot afford to live on Pepsi Max. The other thing that has changed at uni, is what I have to spend money on. From buying my own food, to washing, and all those other things which I had previously been able to rely on Mum for, it all added up, and my overdraft was demolished rather too quickly (still waiting for my student loan?) and that left me with my cupboards running bare, as I watched the last pounds drift out of my bank accounts. ...I come from a family of tea drinkers and I am a tea drinker through and through. Despite this fact, I used to be quite naive when it came to tea - I just thought tea was tea. I couldn't understand why anyone would pay over the odds when you could buy a value box for a quarter of the price. Oh, how wrong I was! My first encounter with Yorkshire tea came when I was at uni and managed to get my hands on some free samples! Any company that sends out free samples immediately goes up in my estimations!
