...plug and play after the install all you need is the unit itself the sound card and whatever mp3's u fancy getting down with. its small enough to keep in a cupboard when not in use and it also sits nicely in front of your monitor when you do decide to play. This was mainly bought spur of the moment after i had got rid of turntables to make room. Since buying a new set of turntables this was gathering dust in the cupboard but i have since found out this can be used as a midi controller within music production software. assigning the faders and knobs to particular controls gives you a hands on feel when producing music aswell, but i wouldn't buy this for that purpose only but its good to know if you already own one. the unit itself online will cost between thirty five and sixty pounds the muse pocket lt external sound card is advertised...

...Hercules Dj control mp3 is a lightweight and inexpensive midi controller for djing as well as music production. It has 2 volume sliders, one crossfader as well as 6 EQ knobs. There are also 2 jog wheels that don't do a lot of work for scratching but they could be used for seeking. It can be used with a variety of dj software such as Virtual Dj or Tractor. Being a full midi controller it can be easily interfaced to a series of music production suites like ableton live, propelerhead's Reason as well as Cubase. Advantages: sound quality very good for price
Disadvantages: let down by low quality internals

...Fully featured, sounds good due to good speaker, my only quibbles are the quality of the internal parts, eg the low hum when you listen to cd's quietly, wont affect you if you listen loud but is a tell tale sign of low quality electronics. sound quality from mp3's could be better as they sound great coming from my pc through the aux input of this stereo but are of variable quality through the internal codec via USB. I also had problems after using the cd and usb for the first time. they worked ok for a while but after about an hour the cd packed up for 2 days, the usb socket gave nasty watery crackling sound when I played mp3's but after a couple days this also cleared up and i have had no problems since. Overall I would say this is a good system for the price despite teething troubles, it has given me many hours of pleasure....

The controller is extreamly suffisticated as well as all of the normal buttons which are used for conventional gameplay it also contains a gyroscope which monitors its position and movements in six axis, clever hey. But if there was a rumble pack not only would it be really heavy but there would be no six axis. What is six axis? The six axis are up-down, left-right, forward-back, rotate left-right, rotate up-down and rotate sideways. This allows you to shake steer and carefully move things that are on the screen. ...like triggers to help immerse you in first person shooter games. When you are not using the controller you can plug it into your Playstation 3 system via the usb cable supplied with the console and it will charge. Also you will notice on the top of the controller is a set of led lights which indicate which number player you are. The main addition to the sixaxis controller is the tilt function motion sensors which can be used in game by moving or tilting the controller to move your character, to aim or to steer a car. The possibilties with this addition are almost endless. Overall a great controller. Don't bother buying a cheaper 3rd party controller and none of them will be as good as the Sony sixaxis....

Advantages: Uncluttered, easy-to-use, good-sound

...I don't think there's that much that can be said about this specific product...it's a controller. However, I'll give an account of my experiences of this controller over the past two years. I got two of these sixaxis controllers free with my PS3 so was able to rotate between using one and charging the other, hopefully allowing me to prolong the usability of the contollers. Unfortunately, after about a year and a half ( and many hours of use, 200+ ) the left analogue stick on both controllers began to squeak and stick. I'm pretty sure the analogue bashing involved in Beijing Olympics contributed highly to this. The main disadvantages of this for me is when I'm playing Call of Duty and I'm hiding behind an object and without realising have begun slowly moving out into the open.
