The HP 300's bigger, stronger brother

...This range of print cartridges from HP is the bigger and better version of the HP300. Those of you who remember my stunning, wrongly uncrowned review of the HP300 will remember how it ran out after just 140 pages. Well, this time I splashed out on the upgrade. Basically, these cost £30 each, although I picked them up on ebay for around £19 brand new and sealed. They are print cartridges that do a lot more than the HP300. The black and white cartridge will give 600 pages of print (4 times what I got out of its baby brother at just twice the price). The colour one gives 440 pages. Hewlett Packard 92A toner cartridge

Advantages: Ease of use, reliability, print quality
Disadvantages: Quite expensive

.... There is a plastic strip that needs to be removed from the new toner cartridge before it can be used or no ink will come out! The HP 1100 has a clear and sharp quality to its printed images and each of these toners seems to give a consistent printing performance. On the packing HP warn us that the toner cartridge is responsible for 70% of the printer?s imaging system and so if you are not using an HP toner you are not getting HP printing. I can?t really make any argument against this point as my company has a policy of avoiding the use of non-HP replacement toners; therefore I cannot say whether a different toner type would have a dramatic effect on the printing quality or not! Hewlett Packard 03A toner cartridge

...This toner cartridge is designed for use with the HP Laserjet 5P and 6P laser printers. These toners are used extensively at the company I work for as we have a number of 6P printers. The 03A is a black ink cartridge with an estimated life of 8,000 pages. (This will vary according to whether standard or presentation modes are used on the printer). They fit MOST of the hp printer range, but not all, Cheap ish, as far as ink cartidges go, not a bad price at all, and to be honest they do last a fair while, so the value for money is good Quality, not the best, but certainly more than adequate for good quality photos, i have always liked hp printers, for their quality of print, hence why i chose mine this time There isnt much more i can say about it to be honest, if you want a nice quality printer, choose one with this ink cartridge, nice price, nice quality, good product, i would recommend it. Ill give it a 5, i would give it a four, because the quality isnt the best available, but for the money, reliability, and time they last, they deserve a five....

Advantages: Easily obtainable, good value, recyclable.
Disadvantages: Really just the idea of it not being a genuine new original!

The print happy generation with their digital cameras, web forms for invoices, bookings and receipts for goods/holidays means most of us need to be able to print. Therefore when buying cartidges for your printer, its good to have an option. For the HP Photosmart 2575 there seems to be a few options on print cartridge. Mainly do you want the standard cartridge that prints 450 pages at 5% coverage, or for a couple of quid more, have a full cartridge that prints 800 pages!
