A compact and capable networked all-in one
Review of Hewlett-Packard 2575 All-in-One by
deputydawg
Advantages: Great printer, good scanner, built-in networking
Disadvantages: Poor copy speed, two cartridge system
...to consider a system with room for several individual colours.
Scanning is simple, fairly fast and very high quality. I had held on to my old reliable scanner, expecting limited results from this low cost unit, but it's good enough that I only resort to the flatbed when I have to deal with scans significantly bigger than A4.
Copying in colour or black and white are simple whether direct from the unit or using the PC. But it's not fast. Go and make a cup of tea. For some reason, decent speed scanning and good speed printing don't make for good speed copying. Restricted processing speed. And I do miss my previous HP All-in-One's document feeder. No way round it, copying a long document is a chore.
For the money, I believe this is an exceptional unit. Network-ready and highly competent, if you are looking for a strong family or home...

Have It All-In-One
Review of Hewlett-Packard PSC 1510 All-in-One by
huntressofthenight
Advantages: Great if you want all your solutions in one gadget
Disadvantages: Expensive ink & annoying pop-ups if your don't use the right brand
...I think this is a good budget printer - whoever came up with the All-In-One concept needs a pat on the back - I hope I can help you come to your own conclusion. Here's a summary of my experiences.
Aesthetics
The design is excellent for the purpose. I can't say it's the most sophisticated but it does the job and the paper tray can be folded up making it compact and storable if necessary. The All-in-One is quite large for a modern printer but on a budget you can't complain.
Quality
There is the option to choose the standard to which copies are made. The quality of printing has to be adjusted on whatever computer programme you are using (e.g Word). The quality is great for standard documents but for photographs I recommend setting the programme to 'Best print quality' to get the best results. The qulity really depends...

HP officejet 4110 all-in-one is all you need
Review of Hewlett-Packard 4110 by
carzy1
Advantages: Fax, Copy and send all at the same unit.
Disadvantages: Slow printing time
...I brought my Hp officejet 4110 all-in-one along with my new computer in January and aswell as the attractive price found that it didnt use up much space. I like many other people work from home and find that when you have a small office you need small compact things to utilise your space effectively. So i got rid of my old fax machine with was way to old and big, gave my old printer away and i didnt have a scanner but i needed one and went down to my local PC World looking for a printer which can send faxes and scan my documents, And after a rather confusing conversation with the salesman as i am not very technicall minded he directed me in the direction of this HP all-in-one.
So after been told all of the features of it i ended up buying it, i took it home and got it all set up in about an hour as i had to do a bit of jugling...

Slooooow ...
Review of Hewlett-Packard 2820 All-in-One by
cronjev
Advantages: Perfect colour and text reproduction
Disadvantages: It gets a fit every time it wants to print.
...This is the most intolerable piece of office machinery in existence.
We have had an HP 2820 in our office for the past year, and the machine is generally loathed and despised - and the grunt of many office jokes.
~DESCRIPTION~
The HP 2820 is a mid ranged multi function colour laserjet printer, scanner/copy and fax machine. The machine has two small paper trays at the bottom (no more than 100 pages), and allow for manual sheet feeding.
The scanner on top has a automatic feeder that can take 100 pages. There is an integrated console in the front for control of the copy, fax and printer functions.
~THE BAD~
Printing
Basically, whenever you send a job to the printer - it sits there shuddering loudly for what feels like minutes (at least a minute), and then finally starts to print.
Once it gets going, it delivers pages...

All-in-one : one for all?
Review of HP PSC 1410 All-in-one by
tall_andy
Advantages: Great printing and scanning quality; small; easy to use
Disadvantages: Ink doesn't last long; not true edge-to-edge
...I purchased this printer 12 months ago and so far have been very impressed with the quality of printing, although I have only used it for a couple of colour prints (I use a dedicated photo-printer for my digital camera).
Let's get the negatives out of the way first!
I was a bit disappointed with the colour cartridge - perhaps it was one of these "half-filled" cartridges that you often get when you buy the printer, but after printing off the HP test page, and a couple of other 6x4 photos, it was soon starting to print "bands" in the colours. However I've done a lot of black printing and that is still going strong.
The cartridges for this printer are only 5ml, while other printers are often 15ml or more, so don't expect much life from them. On the plus side the cartridges are cheaper - I recently purchased an original HP colour...

HP OffficeJet 9130
Review of Hewlett-Packard Officejet 9130 All-in-One by
dorling
Advantages: scanner, printing
Disadvantages: E-mail Setup
...I purchased this to replace an HP G-85 all in one, and for the most part im extremely pleased.
The scanner function is nothing short of fantastic! once you set up the network card (standard for the 9130) you just hit scan and a speed dial button that you previously configured that points to a folder on your computer; thats it, the printer scans, converts to pdf, and stuffs it over the network and onto your computer! saves me unbelievable amounts of time compared to my old all in one printer.
print function is also good, but it doesnt do the stated ppm. good enough for most things, but i would like somewhat faster.
the one problem i have is paper tray #2. it just doesnt feed right, and it apparently is a design problem. when i use heavier paper, such as the HP bright white 24#, it jams. and jams. and jams. HP was very helpful...

HP 1510
Review of Hewlett-Packard 1510 All-in-One by
Deal_lion
Advantages: Very good quality prints
Disadvantages: expensive print cartridages
...tray and there for don't have to continuously refill it.
Colour
Like I said when I first got this printer I was printing out in colour a lot and I never had any problems it always looked really clean and crisp. However when the cartridge begins to become empty the colour can be compromised but this tends to happen with most printers so don't be put off just simply refill the cartridge and you will be enjoying beautiful pictures once more.
Reliability
I have found this all in one to be great, I have had other all in ones before like the Lexmark equivalent but I found that that always broke, where as this HP has never let me down after just over a year of service.
Ease of use
This product benefits from 'plug and play' which means that all you have to do is simply plug it into the back of your computer...

HP Photosmart 2575
Review of Hewlett-Packard 2575 All-in-One by
costas1234
Advantages: Fast reliable printing, copying and Scanning of documents
Disadvantages: Paper tray and software display, and price overall
...A printer, scanner and copier all in 1 machine.
The scanner can scan documents, scan pictures, transfer images, and make copies of existing files saved. The software is installed and the GUI for the software is user friendly.
The document can be resized, sharpened, the resolution and colour can be adjusted. Once the document is scanned by the HP Photosmart the user can accept the quality of the scan by pressing the 'accept button'. Also the user has the ability to make fast scans easily by pressing the new scan button.
For the scanner the quality is acceptable it provides a good quality copy, as it would be using a photocopier. Using the scanner is much more cost effective than using a newsagents photocopier. Again the scale of savings depends on the level of usage.
As a printer, it is quite fast it can print approximately...

HP Photosmart 2575 - Well worth it
Review of Hewlett-Packard 2575 All-in-One by
dougcam1
Advantages: Good quality, good price, easy to use/install
Disadvantages: Thirsty for ink
...This is an excellent all in one printer/scanner /copier package. I bought this just over a year ago, and was a little unsure of what quality I could expect from such a utility device. Having paid only around £90 for this, I was pleasantly surprised! All the aspects are better than I'll ever need for anything I do at home. For office use, though, some of the features may be a little slow for high volume use. The printing is the normal standard you'd expect from HP, and when used with decent photo sheets, the photograph prints are superb!
The scanner is good quality and fairly easy to use, though I find the HP software provided slow, complicated and annoying and just use Windows own free stuff. The copier is also good, and the stand-alone function allows it to operate independently of a computer.
It has slots for most common memory...

HP PSC 1317 all in one
Review of HP PSC 1317 all-in-one by
musicdave
Advantages: Looks Great - Good Quality
Disadvantages: Scanner function a little tricky to use
.... This is the softwares fault as it works fine with PC but this one feature is a little tricky with the Mac. What i would say it put the quality of the copying up (a higher DIP) compared to what it tells you to as it does make a difference.
I am considering buying the new version of this printer as it is white and will match my Mac but this is not because it doesnt work, its because it works so well that i would want another.
One tip, Go to tesco to buy their version of the ink as you can save loads of money. Instead of paying £17.00 for ink i found one in the sale for £4.00. They often have ink reduced, its worth checking out.
I can honestly say i would never swap from HP now. A great little printer....
