Advantages: Fun, easy to use, great features, great games!
Disadvantages: Once you pick it up its hard to put down

...I own 2 DS Lites, my son has one and my partner does, they come in a great range of colours Black,White,Pink and the newer Blue. The touch screen on them is great, it makes the games so much more fun and with games like super mario you get mini games that all use the touch screen and they are great fun. As for the size of it well i carnt complain its small quite slim and light! hence the name. As for the age recomended on these my son has had one since last christmas and at the time he was 3! and after about a day learnt how to use it better than me lol. some games can be akward for smaller children but the likes of super mario, mario kart, shrek,cars ect are great for them. Its also very durable my son has dropped his on tiled floor, sat on it and god knows what else and its fine, its also very easy to keep clean. From...

...My husband and I have had our DS Lites for well over a year now and we still really enjoy them. I like the black model, as i think it looks most stylish and grown-up! But if i was kid, I would adore a pink one!! The graphics can be extremely high standard. You can get various games for the DS lite, many of which are absolutely top of the range in terms of graphics, while others are more old school like Tetris. The double screen means that with certain games characters can move between the two. Other games use only one screen as the main gaming screen and has useful information on the other. The lower screen is a touch-pad and the DS Lite comes with a stylus pen so that you can write on it. Certain games involve you using this pen continually, rather than using the buttons - such as games involving animals where you have to pet them...

...The Nintendo DS lite is the most recent version of its kind and has been out for good while now. The older version was fatter an heavier, also the screen was not as clear and bright as this one. The reason I live this small design is because it's so accessible. Carrying it around is so easy and isn't a problem at all. There are a few colors to choose from, there are white, black, pink and blue, im not sure what others they have. They all have the same functions if you are wondering. Id personally go for the black one as I find it a bit more evil looking which to me just looks cool! I'd say the sound on this is a lot clearer and louder also which is a good improvement. if you like your little mini games then this is very good for that very thing as there are so many different games out now which are like mind games, puzzles...

...I had one of these for about a year until I sold it off for an Xbox 360 (good decision). I found the DS Lite has very good wireless play for friends in the area with one of them. The chat rooms are also quite useful if you are on a trip with several friends. As I found out, on a ski trip, I spent about 3 hours on the DS racing about 10 other people in Mario Kart; its a brilliant way to pass a journey. However, equally, it is also fun offline. Although the games don't have as good graphics as the likes of the Xbox 360 or PS3. They are still not bad and they do have the one of a kind revolutionary stlylus-touch screen system. This allows you to draw out the actions on the touch screen of the DS in certain games. ...This was bought for my son for a birthday present last year, I paid £109 for the DS, accessory kit and the game that came with it was Cars. I was not sure if he would be impressed with it or not (as he can be hard to please sometimes, like most kids these days) but as it turned out he was over the moon and I must add so was I , as I to, enjoy playing it. Another good point is that you can play the game boy advance games on it as well, my daughter has a GBA and they sure some their games which is really handy. ...Okay, so the Nintendo DS lite is an updated remake of the Nintendo DS; it definatly boosted up the popularity of this handheld console. Nintendo totally re-done the design, for the best! Instead of the bulky, heavy look the original DS had, they made the DS lite smaller and much more easier to hold. And what's more! They come in many other colours other than white such as Pink (Which I have), Black, Navy blue and some other colours. ... But that wasn't all they did to it, oh no, they done more! They done so much more that they even made the DS lite stylus taller and thicker to fit comfortably in your hand while playing games, and it most more than unlikely to fall out of it's slot and get lost; I must've lost my Original DS' stylus an extreme number of times and in the end had to buy a new one which dissapointed me.
