...The Eden shopping centre is located in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. I think it opened about 18months ago amongst a blaze of publicity and calling itself the new premier shopping destination and I have visited it several times since. Getting There High Wycombe is easily accessed via the M40 from junctions 3a or 4. The centre is well signposted as you enter the town and is easy to find. The centre has attached multi-storey parking for 1600 cars. The car park is actually very old as it was originally attached to the Tesco store that was on the site. The ceilings are very low and the ramps are quite tight, I drive a large 4x4 and it fits in ok but I do find I have the urge to duck as I go up the ramps as the ceiling feels so close! You have to take a ticket on entry and then pay on foot before you leave the car park. I...

Duck'n'noodle - Do!

Advantages: good chinese food, clean environment, friendly staff, timely service
Disadvantages: can get very loud, most of the seating on high benches with no foot rests

Advantages: If you drive a souped up Mazda you'll like it

...Having had the misfortune to work in Wycombe (no-one calls it HIGH Wycombe BTW) for the last few months I can give quite a good description of this large Buckinghamshire town situated 20 miles northwest of London. The traffic is horrendous; due to the way the town is built. Wycombe is pretty much no more than a main road (the A40) passing between two hills, meaning anyone wishing to pick up the M40 motorway must drive up one of them and it's a big hill too, conveniently situated with an industrial estate on the bottom (Sands), one on the top (Cressex) and a large hospital inbetween. Wycombe's topography is such that of neccesity houses are built on both of the hills, with a shopping centre and train station in the valley, so to speak. Why Wycombe beat Leicester

Advantages: excitement
Disadvantages: cash flow

...I can shed some light on why and how Wycombe Wanderers,(of the second division), beat Leicester City, (who were in sixth position in the premier league), in the quarter finals of the FA cup. Sheer guts, determination, the want of winning (for self esteem, not for the money, there bonus was only £130 a player for winning!), but most of all skill. If you check the match facts Wycombe were not playing as the underdogs, they had a very even chance, having a similar ammount of shots at goal, similar ammount of corners, they committed less fouls, and caught Leicester offside more times than Leicester caught them. Pleasant enough Commuterville

Advantages: Quiet, unassuming, unpretentious town, nice enough place to live
Disadvantages: Not exactly the epitomy of Home Counties cool, barely average array of shops, nightlife pretty ropy

...Writing an opinion on High Wycombe depends very much on what you want to do there. As a tourist centre, it's a medium-sized town (120k residents), not unattractive to look at but hardly a hub of stunning architecture or interesting things to do / see. In fact, you're pretty much limited to a couple of nearby stately homes, plus the wonders of the Wycombe Chair Museum (not quite as dull as it sounds, in fact) and not forgetting the over-priced Hellfire Caves in West Wycombe, which are just caves actually - not the real entrance to Hades. Wycombe does have a Tourist Information Centre, but, well - put it this way - it's very small and is rarely over-crowded. On the plus side, it's set in the rolling Chiltern Hills and you don't have to travel far to find winding country lanes, rural pubs and fine walks a-plenty (if that's your cup...

Finally Friday

...I really enjoy eating at TGI Friday’s. It’s a place where you can bring your friends and have a laugh. The atmosphere is laid back and the music is great. I enjoy going in the evenings during the weekend. Although, I have to say our drinks bill is normally substantially higher then our food bill. The last time I went there with 4 people our bill came to £170.00 with only around £70 of it being food (we took a taxi home). I’ve visited two of their restaurants in High Wycombe and Reading on several occasions. TGI Friday’s originated in the States and opened a chain in the UK in 1986 (Birmingham). Live music lives

Advantages: Supporting local live bands and providing good entertainment

...see real people playing real music and usually all material is very well played. It's a shame that such talented musicians do not get the breaks they deserve in the music business that seems to be full of manufactured bands with no ability to play or sing live without backing tapes and miming. ATMOSPHERE The pub has a very relaxed friendly atmosphere, it is run by a couple who really enjoy live music and are keen to promote local live bands. So much so that since we started going there they have built a stage on which the bands perform, whilst it is not very high it gives a better feel and sound from when the bands used to play on the floor. ...It took me quite a while to catch on to High School Musical. In fact, I ended up seeing High School Musical 3 before I saw the first two! Though I have now caught myself up and along with that I am becoming more familiar with the songs. In an attempt to fully connect with the music, I found myself borrowing the CDs from a friend. One of which was of course the High School Musical 2 CD soundtrack. The album can be recognized by its aqua blue cover. On the front, 'High School Musical' is written in yellow writing, with a watery '2' aside it. Underneath the main cast can be seen leaping for joy.
