Disadvantages: Loud Christmas parties tended to conflict with the country hotel ethos!

Advantages: Spacious & quiet

...My partner booked this hotel for 2 mid-week nights as a surprise treat for my birthday, she chose this location as it was near-by to the very beautiful Arundel and selected the Hilton as we had never stayed at one before but believed their name to be synomonous with "excellence". On first arriving our impressions were of a lovely old building that had retained all its original features, set in extensive well-maintained grounds (although most of it seemed to be a golf course) with sufficient parking for all. Too Many Hiccups at the Hilton?

Advantages: In a good location, many friendly members of staff, spacious rooms
Disadvantages: Questionable hygiene and maintenance issues

Hilton managed to entice me to stay at their flagship Asian property In February and March this year due to a 70% discount promotion. Given the nature of the recession I thought it was best to slim my expenditure down to size and took a Grand Executive Suite at £110 a night. The usual price for this would be in excess of £250 a night and when you see the room, you can clearly understand why. ...We booked the room online at www.Hilton.co.uk, Hilton guarantee that their best rates are available online. We booked a few months in advance and got a really good rate. Rates do change, at the moment double roms are £110 per night with guest room plus rooms £134. Because I boked well in advance i got a double plus room (gets a sea view, fluffy bath robes etc) for under £100. The Wbsite has info about the hotel including pictures of rooms etc The hotel is relatively modern with lots of car parking. When we checked in Reception was busy but was very efficient. All the public areas of the hotel were spotlessly clean On balance a hotel that I'm likely to stay at again. I stayed on a Sunday, arriving in time for Sunday lunch. The Restaurant, the Promenade, has a Carvery which was extremely good with starters of either soup or a help...

...Hilton Toronto Having recently returned from a great stay at the Hilton and Toronto thought that it was about time that I attempted to put pen to paper again on Ciao as been absent for quite a while! I opted for this hotel because I found a great deal of around £500 for 2 people for 7 nights at the beginning of September 2006. The room: The room was located on the 16th floor as was spacious with two comfortable double beds and nice, fresh linen. In addition there was a wardrobe that whilst note huge was provided adequate storage as well as the ever useful iron and ironing board. A large TV provided ample international TV and good 'pay per' movies; the usual Hollywood Blockbuster stuff. There was a well stocked mini bar at reasonable prices and a nice coffee machine with a good range of complimentary hot drinks...

...Reasons for choosing this hotel: We've stayed here before and the position is good for us when visiting friends and family, being just off the M20 Motorway at Junction 7, approximately 4 miles from Maidstone town centre. I could have used a cheaper hotel (there is an Innkeepers Lodge and a few Premier Travel Inns locally) but as a member of the Hilton loyalty scheme which allows you to "double dip" and not only earn Hilton points, but also points for your chosen Airline rewards programme at the same time, it is a good option for me, so I checked online on Boxing Day for a 1 night stay on 27th December.
