...The Hinckley Island Hotel is a great 4 Star Hotel. Easy to get to from the M6 or M69. Just get off J2 on the M69. I've stayed there many times now and have samples the services there. The staff are all very polite and helpful. They all greet you in and around the hotel and are always willing to help. The hotel is huge and luxurious. I've been lucky enough to have been upgraded from their Standard room's to their Suites twice in the 6 times i've visited the hotel. The standard rooms are exactly that, standard. Certainly acceptable by most and can be booked most weekends for around £55 which is great! The Suites are amazing! Made to be just like apartments they have a livingroom, bedroom and bathroom. Also the Suites have VIP packages inside so you get a fresh bowl of fruit and magazines, along with slippers and a robe...

Longshoot Hotel, Nuneaton. Great venue, great location

Advantages: Great location, great price.
Disadvantages: Rooms look shabby from the outside. No air conditioning in meeting rooms.

Review of Longshoot Hotel, Nuneaton

Super short weekend away

Advantages: Cosy, Location, Swimming pool and Good food
Disadvantages: Only one local pub

...We visited Badgers mount last summer and stayed for the weekend while on a diving course at Stoney Cove a short drive away. The B&B is very cosy and is located in the lovely village of Elmsthorpe,surrounded by beautiful scenery and local farms close to Earls shilton and Hinckley. Easy to get to from the M6 & M1. In the village there is a pub called the Wentworth Arms which does good food with generous portions and has an outdoor play area for children. Also with plenty of parking space. The B&B its self has 12 rooms, My room was en-suite with a television, tea/coffee facilities and a lovely big double bed what more could you ask for when considering the price. Not Likely To Fuel An Obsession

Advantages: Clear, basic profiles of 8 cases
Disadvantages: No psycho-analysis, very little explanation, very little contribution from experts

I have an advantage in that I am too young to remember any of these cases in detail, but anyone old enough to remember the eighties will probably know everything in this book from the press coverage and news reports. The blurb claims that this book "explores stalker attacks and incidents involving major stars" but I saw very little exploration - the only thing that may not have been depicted adequately in the media at the time of the incidents is the background of the stalkers, which Harvey presents with some detail and little analysis. More disturbing is that Harvey seems almost sympathetic towards some stalkers, whilst questioning the insanity verdict given on other stalkers. Maybe I'm biased as a Lennon fan, but I felt that the portrayal of Mark Chapman was far more sympathetic than the portrayal of John Hinckley (Jodie...

...Its quite strange really, I have a harvester a mile away from where I live in Nuneaton and I havent been there for a good 5 years. In the past week however I've been there twice and I'm left wondering why I left it so long in between my previous visits. -- Location and Surroundings -- The restaurant is situated on the corner of St Nicolas Park Drive and Hinckley road in a very affluent part of the town. The restaurant itself is quite well hidden from the main road by the sheer volume of fir trees. The restaurant shares its location with a Travel Lodge so any businessman in the area would be well advised to sleep in the Travel Lodge and eat in the Harvester.
