...We purchased a Hitachi 28" Pure Flat Screen TV in the January 2003 sales. A bargain reduced from £600 to £389. Unfortunately by February 2004 we had a problem with it. A grey screen with wavey diagonal lines and it kept turning itself off after about 5 seconds. Anyway - stupid like we didnt take the extended guarantee - which i would advise everyone to do - if you can afford it obviously. The TV was taken away by a local engineer and basically needed some extensive welding and it cost us £170 and we were left without the TV for 3 weeks. Well we werent happy as you can imagine so we tried to contact Hitachi. We telephoned our local Miller Brothers store who supplied it and they only had a fax number for Hitachi - nothing else !!! So I searched the web and found a few addresses and forward the original reciept...

Scoring a Hit-achi With The Scullery Maid

Advantages: Very neat - seemingly a lot of kit for the money
Disadvantages: Noisy FM in weak reception areas. Choosy CD player

Hitachi CX68 MP3/CD + Radio - Tough Little Beast

Advantages: Good tone quality, looks, reliability and functions
Disadvantages: no cassette player facility

...I wanted a portable CD player for my home-office desk, because I found that playing CDs on my computer whilst I was working seemed to use up memory and sometimes caused my computer to crash. ...too dissimilar to a dvd player ( a small one). It did not have a card slot in it but that was ok as I knew I would not be subscribing to Top-up TV, not at that precise moment in time anyway. I paid for the box, (£60 cheap at half the price by my reckoning) brought it home and began the set up process and before I knew it the channels had been scanned and were saved in the memory. There were loads of extra channels but half of them were just blank screens with no transmissions coming through whatsoever. (Must have been stored in the memory in case you opted for the Top Up TV option) I began to investigate a little more, BBC1, BBC2 ITV, Channel 4 and Five came as standard as they are ordinary terrestrial channels anyway but I did think that the picture was perhaps a bit sharper than normal, which was good. ...Rimmel 60 seconds has been out for quite a while now, but it is a great product! I actually have this shade shown in the picture, it is 610 Pompous if you are keen! Why is this a good product? First of all, Rimmel is a very trustworthy brand and I would imagine they have very great customer satisfaction. The product itself has a pro-cision brush. This is a good idea because it makes it a lot more accurate and proffesional. These nail varnishes also come in lots of different colours which is useful if you are trying to find one to match an outfit! Rimmel even do a French manicure section! Where do I find this? This nail varnish can be found at any leading beauty store and they do tend to sell it in Tesco, Morrison's, Sainsbury's and Asda! It retails for no more than £2.00 which is an absolute bargain if you think of OPI...

Hitachi, well done fab camera.

Advantages: Good quality, cool features, allows DVD RAM disks.
