Scoring a Hit-achi With The Scullery Maid
Advantages: Very neat - seemingly a lot of kit for the money
Disadvantages: Noisy FM in weak reception areas. Choosy CD player
...to throw in a remote control and make it come in at under £50, I?d only be too happy to take one off their hands.
So, after all the nasty things I?ve said about DSG (Dixons, Currys and PC World) in the past, this is where I end up, buying a Hitachi AX-M77 CD Micro System for £49.99. I have to say, that for something costing 50 knicker, I was only expecting to come home with something, shall we say, a bit more ?own brand?, a bit more ?Matsui? let?s say.
The purchase bit was easy ? they were piled five-high at the end of a display cabinet, and not even the Currys assistant in Hounslow would have dared say ??.and would you like an extended warr?..? at these prices, or at least, maybe the sales pep talk they?d just been given (I got there as they opened their doors) had been just too much to take on board all in one go. Maybe it was...

A Good System.... When it lasts.
Advantages: Compact, Cheap, Good Quality, Sound, Customization, Remote Controlled, Featuers, Looks
Disadvantages: Cheap flimsy Cassette Desk, Mp3 not supported, no auxilary inputs
...for a student on a budget.
----------Good Quality---------
Hitachi is a japanese name that you can trust, i for example have a hitachi 120W amplifier which was made some time in 70s, and its still going strong now, hasnt broken down once. When looking at this hifi, the plastics are of good quality, and they dont feel as if they would break if you put something heavy on it. The buttons have a satisfying click, yet still manage to feel soft. If you knock it, it has a solid sound which implies that its build quality is good. Saying this though, the Cassette Deck is a little flimsy, as are the buttons used to operate. I suppose this is why they've covered them up. The cassette buttons are a horrible poor quality grey plastic, the kind you'd find on a christmas cracker toy. This is a bit of a dissapoint ment, as you'd expect them to be metal...

HItachi Customer Services
Advantages: Definately none
Disadvantages: No reimbursement
...We purchased a Hitachi 28" Pure Flat Screen TV in the January 2003 sales. A bargain reduced from £600 to £389.
Unfortunately by February 2004 we had a problem with it. A grey screen with wavey diagonal lines and it kept turning itself off after about 5 seconds.
Anyway - stupid like we didnt take the extended guarantee - which i would advise everyone to do - if you can afford it obviously.
The TV was taken away by a local engineer and basically needed some extensive welding and it cost us £170 and we were left without the TV for 3 weeks.
Well we werent happy as you can imagine so we tried to contact Hitachi.
We telephoned our local Miller Brothers store who supplied it and they only had a fax number for Hitachi - nothing else !!!
So I searched the web and found a few addresses and forward the original reciept...

Good Little Stereo
Advantages: Small, loud, easy set-up. uncomplicated
Disadvantages: Durability when played on max volume is poor.
...Very nice sounding Stereo system for a bedroom. Not the most powerul stereo i have come across but this hitachi is great value for money. Really easy to use. Can give out a lot of bass when set up correctly but i will warn you thats how i blew the speakers on mine. Cd player will start to skip similar car Cd players if played on loud volumes for extended periods of time or after about 6 months of daily use. The opening mechanism on the cd tray will not open unless its on the cd function (learned the hard way again!). Gets a very good radio signal in most places. Also works very well with mp3 players. Has usb and memory card slots and will connect to a computer with red and white audio jacks. All in all i was very pleased with mine, great sound quality for a small price!
I would suggest not playing this above volume 25 if you want it to...

Hitachi CX68 MP3/CD + Radio - Tough Little Beast
Advantages: Good tone quality, looks, reliability and functions
Disadvantages: no cassette player facility
...I wanted a portable CD player for my home-office desk, because I found that playing CDs on my computer whilst I was working seemed to use up memory and sometimes caused my computer to crash. I wanted one with a decent tone, but one that would not take up too much room on my desk. My birthday was coming up (last year), so that answered my wife's question of what to get me for a present. Off we went to Comets.
When we arrived there were many CD players that would have suited me for around the £20 mark, but my wife pointed to the Hitachi CX68 saying how good looking it was with it's round, blue-lit window on the front that indicated radio stations or CD information, depending on what was being played.
I noticed that it also played MP3s, and that I thought, would be great if I wanted to download music from the internet. I've never...

This Hitachi punches above its weight
Advantages: Smaller, lighter television, with the same picture size.
Disadvantages: You're not still watching TV are you!?
...In order to reduce the speed that my living room was sinking, beneath the mud that is my front garden, under the weight of my old 32" Mitsubishi CRT widescreen television. I decided it might be an idea to replace it with something a little lighter. To this end I chose the Hitachi L32H01, an HD-ready 720p/1080i 32" widescreen LCD panel. This model features both Freeview digital and analogue tuners that allowed me to use my old set top box with my SCART-enabled portable television in order to extend its life beyond the digital switchover. The built-in Freeview tuner is equipped with full red-button functionality for those interactive hidden programmes on various channels, as well as both now and next digital schedule that can be reviewed while still watching the current channel in the top right quarter of the screen and a 5-day...

Hitachi, well done fab camera.
Advantages: Good quality, cool features, allows DVD RAM disks.
Disadvantages: Sleep, is not very effective,It's bulky, & No Touch.
...The Hitachi DZ-GX5060E DVD Camcorder, this is a great quality camcorder that captures the footage on to 8mm (Mini) DVD disks. I decided to get this camera in Curry's, because:
I didn't Want Mini DV tapes (I think their getting a little old now)
I needed a good camera to take on holiday, and to make youtube videos outside.
I'm going to set this review up in a few sections, Design, On screen Options, My Opinion, and Accessories.
So, here it goes.
DESIGN
The design of this camera is quite sleek, although not that light or compact. It fits into my hand nicely, but could be a tad lighter. The colour of the camera is silver and Grey. On one side their is the 8mm Disk drive, which allows you to put in DVD R, RW and RAM Disks. So far I have been using TDK DVD+RW Disks.
On the other side you have the screen, with pulls out, and can be...

Hitachi I love your sleek shadow black beast
Advantages: True 17" size, Good resolution, V good brightness, Ultra fast response time, DVI output, Size, 3 year warranty
Disadvantages: Price, Base does not swivel
...*Description/Introduction*
The Hitachi CML174SXW-B is currently one of the highest specification LCD TFT monitors on the LCD market. I purchased one from CRS Solutions in December of 2002, and I am highly impressed.
The monitor itself is 17" of pure joy, housed in a top quality, sleek black casing.
The looks of the monitor are absolutely superb, and it is excellent for those just wishing to add a bit of style to their desktop.
LCD monitors are becoming ever more popular, and it looks like this particular monitor, and others of its ilk could be the monitors to break the stereotype of slow response, blurry LCD's.
*Specification*
The important bits:
*Screen Size: The screen size is 17 inches, this, unlike CRT (normal) monitors is its true viewable size, measured from top right to bottom left, diagonally. Unlike...

The wonders of the Hitachi Deskstar
Advantages: Reliable, Quick, Quite, Good value for money
Disadvantages: Not a very high capasity
...If you are looking for an 80 GB hard disk for your PC, you have found the one to buy! I have been using 2 of these Hitachi Deskstar's in my PC for a long time now. I have had no problems with them. For the price you pay to buy one, you are getting cheap and reliable hard disk, witch has a good capacity to price ratio (around 2GB per pound).
I would recommend this hard disk to anyone whom it is making up a new computer, or just needs more storage space.
This hard disk is probable one of the quickest disks I have used, its read speed is good, but I must say, the SATA (serial ATA) version is about twice as quick, but for them that don't intend to go down the path of SATA Can just stick with the ATA-100 version (or IDE as it is more commonly known).
Instillation of this disk is like every other hard disk on this planet, if you know...
