...We purchased a Hitachi 28" Pure Flat Screen TV in the January 2003 sales. A bargain reduced from £600 to £389. Unfortunately by February 2004 we had a problem with it. A grey screen with wavey diagonal lines and it kept turning itself off after about 5 seconds. Anyway - stupid like we didnt take the extended guarantee - which i would advise everyone to do - if you can afford it obviously. The TV was taken away by a local engineer and basically needed some extensive welding and it cost us £170 and we were left without the TV for 3 weeks. Well we werent happy as you can imagine so we tried to contact Hitachi. We telephoned our local Miller Brothers store who supplied it and they only had a fax number for Hitachi - nothing else !!! So I searched the web and found a few addresses and forward the original reciept...

This Hitachi punches above its weight

Advantages: Smaller, lighter television, with the same picture size.
Disadvantages: You're not still watching TV are you!?

Hitachi CX68 MP3/CD + Radio - Tough Little Beast

Advantages: Good tone quality, looks, reliability and functions
Disadvantages: no cassette player facility

...I wanted a portable CD player for my home-office desk, because I found that playing CDs on my computer whilst I was working seemed to use up memory and sometimes caused my computer to crash. I wanted one with a decent tone, but one that would not take up too much room on my desk. My birthday was coming up (last year), so that answered my wife's question of what to get me for a present. It is also HD ready, so therefore it is obviously going to be able to cope with the up and coming technological changes which is good to know. So it will be able to support all the new features being introduced. This works very well with the xbox 360 as the games are mostly HD integrated. The picture quality and graphic quality makes the gaming outstanding and is enhanced majorly by the big screen and purely because i can now view it in high definition. One of the other good features is that you can plug your computer into it and use it as a monitor. Different people would use it for different things, i haven't used it but my brother has. It looked pointless just to use it for MSN Messenger. It would probably have better usage for things like online...

The wonders of the Hitachi Deskstar

Advantages: Reliable, Quick, Quite, Good value for money

...If you are looking for an 80 GB hard disk for your PC, you have found the one to buy! I have been using 2 of these Hitachi Deskstar's in my PC for a long time now. I have had no problems with them. For the price you pay to buy one, you are getting cheap and reliable hard disk, witch has a good capacity to price ratio (around 2GB per pound). I would recommend this hard disk to anyone whom it is making up a new computer, or just needs more storage space.
