...I recently tried out this Health and Beauty Salon in Swiss Cottage...except it's not actually in a salon. Upon arriving at Harmony for my massage, I quickly realised that it was set up in someone's home. At first I was a little uncomfortable and unsure about this but soon after arriving and meeting my therapist, and seeing that the house was spotless and looked quite professional, I felt quite at ease. MY LITTLE BEAUTY

Advantages: Instantaneous results, youthful, radiant, vibrant skin
Disadvantages: The price and perhaps the packaging

...Until very recently I'd never tried a single Clarin's product and until even more recently I didn't believe that beauty products really could work miracles. Hitachi HGR1 Health Grill

Advantages: large enough for family of four or five

...I bought this from Dixons in the january sales for £29.99, I had originally gone in for a 'George Foreman' but they were out of stock so I decided to buy the Hitachi instead. I have never owned one of these before so wasn't sure what exactly I was going to do with it but the instructions were very clear and inspiring. The grill itself has two non-stick plates inside with a chrome lid and black feet, it looks very stylish but wieghs a ton! (I weighed it on the bathroom scales and it came in at over 6kg's). It has a temperature control knob on the right hand side and allows you to adjust to low, med and high. The instruction booklet has a list of various meats and vegetables with a suggested temperature and time for cooking so was very easy to follow. ...I was given a tube of this 'wonder cream' as a Christmas present from my in-laws just last Christmas. It sat inside my dressing table drawer until about three weeks ago, still in its original box/packaging etc, unused. I don't know why it's taken me so long to open the box and read the 'instructions leaflet' and actually use the stuff - maybe I was having a 'premonition' about it?? ...People believe that health and beauty are two different things but in reality they are not! Although beauty can be found in deth of plants no one thinks that a dying person looks their best especially if they're terminally ill ( cancer or aids). if anything inorder to be beautiful, we need to take care of our bodies inside and out. There are plenty of old wives tales that are out there, in regards to different remedies for the body- and Im more than sure you yourself can recall quite a few. But the question I want to ask is why don't we use these remedies instead of all the new cosmetics and cleaning products out there? I found that with this magazine like so many others, you get advice which seems rather unrealistic if you lead a busy life. ...A friend of mine had been ranting on about how she wanted to try this product. I had seen it on a daytime TV programme as a 'wonder-cure' to make you look like you've had 8 hours sleep. On a shopping trip, there was an offer where you buy 2 Clarin's products and get some other trial-sized goods for free (many many department stores so this). So we bought one each and split the freebies. I had hoped that it would be wonderful and transform my face? however it did not go that far. It did give me a healthy glow when I wore it under my make-up and my make-up did last longer. So it lives up to that claim. The instructions say to use a thin layer under make up 2 - 3 times a weeks and you can also wear it as a beauty mask for 10 - 15mins once a week. ...We purchased a Hitachi 28" Pure Flat Screen TV in the January 2003 sales. A bargain reduced from £600 to £389. Unfortunately by February 2004 we had a problem with it. A grey screen with wavey diagonal lines and it kept turning itself off after about 5 seconds. Anyway - stupid like we didnt take the extended guarantee - which i would advise everyone to do - if you can afford it obviously. The TV was taken away by a local engineer and basically needed some extensive welding and it cost us £170 and we were left without the TV for 3 weeks. Well we werent happy as you can imagine so we tried to contact Hitachi. We telephoned our local Miller Brothers store who supplied it and they only had a fax number for Hitachi - nothing else !!!
