Hitachi PDV-302 Portable DVD player

...I had been after a Portable DVD player for a while but hadn't really seen one which caught my eye, until i found this one. It is small and light unlike all the other bulkier models that i have seen on the market. I had a look on their website and decided that this would be a reasonable investment. and i was right. The model is just perfect for what i need it for, its small enough to fit in a dash of a car but large enough for 2 people to watch with ease as it has a 7" widescreen TFT screen. You can even watch with head phones as there are 2 sockets on the side. It will play CD-R and CD-RW also JPEG and MP3. You can even connect it to a TV and it comes with all the cables to do so. The battery itself only last about 3 hours and takes 3 hours to charge although I'm sure you can purchase battery packs for it....

DVD player for girls with a passion for fashion

Advantages: remote, nice design, portable

Advantages: A different take on a musician on the road, amusing and touching
Disadvantages: None!

Advantages: Plays DivX AVI and MPEG files, Supports lots of formats, Looks good, Karaoke,

...I've wanted a DVD player that was capable of playing DivX files for a while because of all my anime and por...errr....other video files..., but the players cost more than normal DVD players so resisted for a while. I've seen brands such as KISS and Yamada but later came across this DK Digital DVD-500 DivX DVD player after the prices have dropped. It only cost £41.98 (61.52 Euros) from SVP Communications (AKA Blank Disc Shop). -= The Player =- The player looks sleek with a black and silver design. Black at the front with silver at the top and bottom curving in towards each other at the middle, which I think looks really good. DVD player with a bad stutter

Advantages: Upconversion to 1080i, HDMI, DIVX Playback
Disadvantages: Not very Durable, Both my players have broken

...I've just bought one of these. Oooh it's good. Really good. Here's why. It's a dead cool DVD player which is ideal if you have an HD ready telly and want to really enjoy your DVDs to the full. It has Dolby sound so is great if you hook it up to separate speakers, but pretty good if you don't, too. It comes in silver (well aluminium) or black, and compared to some DVD players it is quite chunky - about the thickness of a video recorder. I don't know why. I forgive it this though, as the picture quality is awesome. Really sharp. It has 1080 upscaling, which means it is fully HD compatible, and a detachable mains lead, which I couldn't see the point of until More Technically Minded Hubby (MTMH) explained that this is a Good Thing as it allows you to upgrade the cable and get even better quality. ...We purchased a Hitachi 28" Pure Flat Screen TV in the January 2003 sales. A bargain reduced from £600 to £389. Unfortunately by February 2004 we had a problem with it. A grey screen with wavey diagonal lines and it kept turning itself off after about 5 seconds. Anyway - stupid like we didnt take the extended guarantee - which i would advise everyone to do - if you can afford it obviously. The TV was taken away by a local engineer and basically needed some extensive welding and it cost us £170 and we were left without the TV for 3 weeks. Well we werent happy as you can imagine so we tried to contact Hitachi. We telephoned our local Miller Brothers store who supplied it and they only had a fax number for Hitachi - nothing else !!! So I searched the web and found a few addresses and forward the original reciept...
