Hitachi HDR161 - Very handy!

Advantages: Lots of room for recordings, tapes 2 shows at the same time, can pause live TV
Disadvantages: Your restricted to what you can receive through your aerial, no digital PDC alternative

...any fancy digital PDC settings/features but its still providing what I see as being a very handy function for recording and storing hours and hours of footage from at least the main channels, with no faffing with VHS videos or DVD disks required, its pretty simple and not at all bad for the money I believe. There may be better models out there and it may be worth waiting a year or so to see if more with this new digital PDC alternative come out but otherwise I'd say that, if you feel this is something that would be very handy to you (being able to record shows and watch them back whenever you have the time), then you should definately bear this model in mind!....

...We purchased a Hitachi 28" Pure Flat Screen TV in the January 2003 sales. A bargain reduced from £600 to £389. Unfortunately by February 2004 we had a problem with it. A grey screen with wavey diagonal lines and it kept turning itself off after about 5 seconds. Anyway - stupid like we didnt take the extended guarantee - which i would advise everyone to do - if you can afford it obviously. The TV was taken away by a local engineer and basically needed some extensive welding and it cost us £170 and we were left without the TV for 3 weeks. Well we werent happy as you can imagine so we tried to contact Hitachi. We telephoned our local Miller Brothers store who supplied it and they only had a fax number for Hitachi - nothing else !!! So I searched the web and found a few addresses and forward the original reciept...

Digifusion FVRT200 Hard Drive Recorder

Advantages: Twin tuner, ease of use, easy to navigate remote control, 14 day EPG
Disadvantages: Needs good reception, makes some running noises

...I have had this product for almost 2 years now and I can honestly say that I couldn't live without it now! Ease of Use The set-up is pretty self-explanatory but if in doubt the manual is very helpful. Once all set up it's relatively easy to use. Channel surfing is as you would expect, but there is also an electronic program guide which you can access by the cleverly named "guide" button on the remote! Setting programs to record is easy too, however I found that when setting several programs to record in one go a little tiresome as you have to go through several screens, the interface could have been a little smoother. Again, to play what you've recorded it's easy peasy. There's a library button marked on the remote which makes it virtually foolproof to access, particularly for people like my Mum who is a little nervous around...

Ipod nano v3 video

Advantages: Everything, good sound, good picture quality, good battery life
Disadvantages: Its quite pricey but worth the money

...and gives a very good picture. I was amazed when I watched a video on it the picture was actually better than my TVs. Battery The battery can last up to 24 hours it goes quicker the louder you listen to it, the more games you play on it and when you watch videos. Price The iPods start from £99.99 for a 4 GB version and for the 8 GB version it costs £129.99 the iPod is excellent values for money and you can't really fault it. Recommendation I would defiantly recommend this to any potential buyers it's a really good, easy to use mp3 player. Which has many features that other mp3s don't have such as the ability to play and download games and videos. It also has a decent screen size and quality. This ipod is a definate must....

I spotted this in the Jan sales with £100 off and for a top of the range compact it was well worth splashing the cash on one considering what you get for your money! Not only do you get a 14.7 megapixel camera. Yes, that's right - a 14.7! You also get a built-in High Definition video recorder. With a decent memory card inside of the Samsung NV100HD you can take a lot of really great high quality snaps and the camera itself is very compact, hence the name. Since buying this I've never left the house without it. iPod Nano Video reveiw, Great new look

...This is a ipod nano. It is great beacuse of the size. It fits easily in my pocket, about the size of a credit card. The main appeal of this ipod is the video feature. The screen is 5.5cm from corner to corner but it has a great picture and the soud is floorless. It can fit quite alot of video before it is full. I have a few full films on it but its still not full. Another new thing for this ipod is the cover flow feture. Great new way to look for a song on your ipod. However it is hard to get artwork for each song. Unless you have an itunes account and even if you do it doesnt always reconise a song. A let down for me is that you cant really add music or remove it without the Itunes program. But this is the same with all iPods ( you can still use other programs but they dont always work) Sleak new look and size makes this...
