Hitachi PDV-302 Portable DVD player

Advantages: Small, Light,7" widescreen, Easy to use, Various features, battery pack and mains adapter
Disadvantages: Battery only lasts 3 hours

...I had been after a Portable DVD player for a while but hadn't really seen one which caught my eye, until i found this one. It is small and light unlike all the other bulkier models that i have seen on the market. I had a look on their website and decided that this would be a reasonable investment. and i was right. The model is just perfect for what i need it for, its small enough to fit in a dash of a car but large enough for 2 people to watch with ease as it has a 7" widescreen TFT screen. You can even watch with head phones as there are 2 sockets on the side. It will play CD-R and CD-RW also JPEG and MP3. You can even connect it to a TV and it comes with all the cables to do so. The battery itself only last about 3 hours and takes 3 hours to charge although I'm sure you can purchase battery packs for it....

Brilliant portable DVD player

...I frequently travel on the train for 3 hour journeys each way so I wanted a portable DVD player to stop me being bored rigid. Hitatchi PDV 313 Portable DVD Player

Advantages: Compact, Excellent Display, Easy to Use
Disadvantages: Speaker volume lacking slightly

...The controls are fairly straight -forward to use, either from the control panel buttons on the machine, or via the neat remote control. It takes a little time to aquaint yorself with the operation of the controls. Probably most people would master the controls, within 30 minutes quite easily. I have used my DVD player mainly for watching DVD's, but it will also play CD's if needed and it coped with a home recorded holiday DVD very well, including menu navigation. The sales blurb says that this machine will handle CD/DVD/VCD/MP3-CD. So far my PDV 313 has been very reliable, For my needs, I can't fault it. More adventurous users may want more features, but for someone who wants a machine that is easy to set up, quick to use and gives you a lot of pleasure. I would definitely recommend this machine....

...we don?t have to listen to whatever it is she is watching, but can let her get on with it. For me, the screen is too small, but she seems to find it just right, although I wouldn?t recommend it for prolonged periods of viewing. The sound quality from the built in speaker is good, and it can be attached to the television to play dvds. This was actually a bonus for us when our own dvd player was broken; we simply plugged this in, and had the film showing on a small and large screen?very weird!
