HobbyCraft was launched by Warren Haskins, chairman of the well-known Haskins Garden Centre Group. Their shops have 32,000 arts and crafts products so there is bound to be something of interest for you and your family whatever sex or age you are. I went in looking for knitting patterns and came away with candle making kits which when I went into the shop knew nothing about. Around the shop for most of their crafts they have pamplets on the hobby telling you what equiptment you require and help and tips on how to do things. With the help of these pamplets I was able to make the candles perfectly. I know its not rocket science to make candles but following the leaflets I achieved it so it proves how well written they are...

Get a new hobby besides being on the computer

Advantages: this shop caters for most hobbies and tell you how to start

Review of HobbyCraft Store (Shop)

Everything under one roof - it will draw you in for hours!

Advantages: Such a wide variety under one roof
Disadvantages: You will be gone for hours and probably spend too much money!

...Hobby craft sells everything. Ok, well not everything, but all you will need for your crafting addiction. The first time I came across Hobby Craft was last year when I went in there with a friend who was really into her card making. She showed me all her bits and pieces and what she had made with them and immediately I fell in love ? I had to have these too! We went the same day and I ended up spending a fortune. Hobby Crafts are situated mainly in out of town retail parks because their shops are so big and the stock normally spans two floors. I have been to about 3 different ones and although the buildings are all different the stock is largely the same. It's easy to end an hour or two in here...

Advantages: A one-stop shop. Provides a wide range of materials at reasonable, cheper prices.
Disadvantages: Prices can be a triple of what they should be on some ranges. Doesn't supply specialist items.

A Hobby and a Half!

Advantages: Great story, excellent scenery, great acting

...Mrs Henderson Presents is a film which was my choice as I like Judy Dench. I had heard quite a lot about how good the film was so when I saw it for a bargain price I snapped it up. Judy Dench stars as Mrs Henderson who has recently lost her husband as is finding life is getting boring. Her best friend tells her that she needs to find a hobby. Everyone is shocked when Mrs Henderson takes this to the extreme and buys the Windmill Theatre! Advantages: Involving and Fun Hobby

My Hobby

...Browsing through hobbies in the Ciao Cafe recently I realized there was no category for a favourite hobby of mine - Television Extra Work. I have been a Television Extra now for just over 4 years and though I would share my experience with you. The only reason I discovered my hobby was after a friend of mine (who was already an extra) asked me if I wanted to appear as a background artist as a one off. My friend was working for a casting agency that needed a huge crowd for a concert scene; the agency had asked the all extra's taking part if they could bring a friend along so along I went and really enjoyed it.
