Exciting Egypt!!

Advantages: cheap, only 5 hours away, amazing weather, amazing sites!
Disadvantages: heat (for some may be disadvantage), annoying hagglers

..., including the Hard Rock Cafe and there are lots of shops and market stalls to look at. Just beware this is Hagglers Row, it will take you a long time to get through all the stall holders so beware!! For the younger generation, or the older of course (!) there is Pacha so get your dancing shoes on!! Our main experience whilst in Egypt was the pyramids in Cairo! What an amazing sight and a MUST if you are contemplating a trip to Egypt! We booked ours through a seperate company at our hotel but can also be booked through your tour operator - however we did discover from our group on the trip that we had all paid quite different prices for the trip so its probably a good idea to shop around before you make your final decision. The Other Side To Egypt

Advantages: Very clean, excellent staff, superb facilities, great location

...My boyfriend and 3 friends have just got back from staying in the Hilton Sharks Bay hotel in Sharm el Sheikh in Egypt. This hotel has been awarded 4 * and has 317 rooms. We mainly booked this holiday to complete our PADI open water diving course as The Red Sea is meant to be one of the best places to do this, and we found that it was reasonably priced to stay in the Hilton so off we went? Travel Time from The UK We flew from London Gatwick and our flight took just over 5 hours which I consider to be a relatively short flight to get to somewhere so hot ? not like my last flight which was 16 odd hours! The Holiday - a good chick flick

...The Holiday is a chick flick type film although it is not quite your normal chick flick. It is based around the story of two girls , Amanda, played by Cameron Diaz and Iris played by Kate Winslet. Amanda is a film trailer producer who has just broke up with her boyfriend, she lives in LA. Iris lives in Surrey in a little cottage and is a writer for a paper. ...The Holiday- I tried to get to see his at the cinema but i unfortunately missed out. Although after reading the reviews it was a mixed opinion, so as soon as it came out i purchased it so that i could judge for myself and its a great film. With Kate Winslet, Jack Black, Jude Law and Cameron Diaz it was an all star cast and a hopeless romantic film a definate chich flick. While trawling through the internet Amanda finds Iris' house being advertised on a house swap website and they both agree to swap houses over the Christmas period. ...I had read a couple of reviews about 'The Holiday' which were slightly less than enthusiastic, so when I watched it on DVD the other night, I wasn't really expecting a great deal. I have to say though, that I was pleasantly surprised as I found it a very enjoyable, although none too taxing film. The Holidy stars a couple of my favourite actresses - Kate Winslett and Cameron Diaz. They play women who live on opposite sides of the world - Surrey and LA - and are both quite discontented with their lives. Solway Holiday Park

Advantages: the farm and hot tub

...I have just come back from a week in the Lakes and have decided to try and have a go at reviewing the place we stayed. Solway Holiday Park is situated in Silloth Cumbria (about 22 miles west of Carlisle) which is small village with a population of around 3000. If you want a town with lots going on then Silloth is not for you, it has a lovely large green and a great sea view although it is not a beach. It also has cafes and the odd take away along with some little shops and of course a Spar (everywhere seems to have a Spar). Near the green is amusements which also sells refreshments. The park itself was quite easy to find I got the directions from greenflag.
