...This is yet another hotel stayed in when travelling with work. It's a four star hotel (Ciao has it listed as a three star) and is located in the business district in Madrid. The Estadio Santiago Bernabeau, the home of Real Madrid football club is also very close by if you are interested in football. Public transport is very good-metro station and bus stop near by, the bus is one Euro into central Madrid and unlike London they have plenty of bus lanes and regular services-every 5 minutes. And no over-crowding or rubbish strewn everywhere! The hotel itself is a typical sprawling 1980's concrete block. The surrounding area is a bit dodgy at night and opposite the hotel is a boarded up cinema. In fact the whole area is pretty much a concrete jungle and I would be careful with going out after dark as it's pretty deserted once...

No mum it's not a petrol station, it's the Holiday Inn Oxford.

Advantages: Great Price. Good location for roads. Next to park and ride, cheaper than paying for parking!
Disadvantages: Another Holiday Inn, nothing that unique about it. Surly reception staff.

We have had a rather turbulent year so my brother and I felt it was necessary to take my mother and father away for a birthday celebration as a family. After a good trawl of the internet we decided to visit Oxford. As my brother has two young children it was necessary to consider a family room, ideally with some facilities to keep the children entertained, so we found ourselves at Holiday Inn Oxford. I found the Holiday Inn Express Cheltenham to be excellent value for money,very clean, well situated and with all the elements for a peaceful and agreable overnight stay. Location: The hotel is situated right in the centre of Cheltenham, a town which is on the edge of the Cotswolds and an agreable destination in its own right. ...We stayed at the Holiday Inn in Cardiff City Centre recently. The reason for our visit was because I was auditioning for the X Factor (again! - I didn't get through :( ) . We chose Holiday Inn because we had stayed at the hotel on many occasions before and were pleased with it and it's value for money. The hotel is located right by the Millenium Stadium. This was convenient for us because the auditioning for the X Factor took place in the Stadium. The hotel is a short 5 minute walk from the high street which was good! Advantages: Very near the airport.

...I stayed at the holiday Inn Gatwick with my family before and after flying out to the caribbean. It was clean and friendly and even the kids enjoyed it. The rooms were quite spacious with tea and coffe facilities. I even called reception as there was only one hot chocolate between the 2 children, and they were at our room within minutes with more sachets and packets of biscuits. We ate an evening meal there too and it wasn't too badly priced! We got up early the next morning and had a swim before catching our longhaul flight, which used up a bit of energy so the kids weren't too restless on the plane. All in all we loved it and would definitely stay again....
