Advantages: Wonderful beaches, and countryside and great food.
Disadvantages: Some beaches are inaccessable to some people due to steep climbs down, and back up cliffs.

...I have to disagree with Walshies comment and agree with LJJames. There are many bungalows on the Gower Holiday village, about 70 I think. I believe you can book directly with the holiday village, which may well be what Walshies did, to get his poor accomodation, but there are many bungalows that are privately owned, one of which we booked. See www.number62.co.uk. No. 62 was very comfortable indeed. The beds are the best I have every slept in away from home, like marshmellows! The crockery and pots and pans were the quality in any normal home, and not junk bought from a thrift shop. The whole ambiance was modern, clean, functional and welcoming, and it truly was a pleasure to stay there. Jules (the owner) has dogs and very much welcomes dogs (there are thows on sofa's and dog bowls and stone and wooden floors...

Holiday Village-Benalmadena, Costa Del Sol

Advantages: Good for Children
Disadvantages: Too far from resorts

...Holiday Village,Benalmadena-Costa del sol, stayed 2 weeks from 14 july 2007 Flight 2 and a half hours with First Choice was short and on time so really good as I hate flying!! Transfer From Malaga airport it takes about half an hour to transfer to the hotel, it is on the outskirts of Benalmadena. Check-in If you fill out the registration form on your transfer it is quick and easy. The staff were curtious and pleasant at all times. Hotel set half way between Benalmadena and Fuengirola and not good for a stroll into either, its too far from both ,catch a bus! The great Taj Holday Village.

Although My husband has researched a bit about the place on internet, but the real surprise was when we reached hotel. Our flight from Delhi-Goa reached Goa airport by the evening about 6:00 PM. Within about hour and half we were at the hotel by hotel cab which was waiting at airport for us. After reaching the hotel it took just two minutes to get the room that was booked by us. ...Last week I came across one of those special offers in HMV (4 DVds for £20). It was end of the season sale and I picked up a film called "The Village" just to make up the numbers. Oh I do like to be beside the seaside.

Advantages: Plenty to do for the whole family

...buggies. The model village is 10 miles from Brixham and took us an hour to get there due to extremely heavy traffic. Verdict This is a high quality site with everything you are likely to need for a family holiday. The maintenance issues we had on arrival should have been avoided and these did make us feel a little negative to the site in the first day or so. Once we had forgotten about these, we had a great time in a great area of the country. I would 100% recommend the area to anyone who has never been there before and would recommend this site if you can get a decent price. We paid £560 for our week in the middle of August although prices do vary depending on the time of year you intend to go. Hopton Holiday Village.

Advantages: A cheap but excellent holiday!

...Me and my family have now been to Hopton Holiday Village, which is one of the 'British Holiday' parks, six years in a row now and will continue to do so for many years to come. We are a family of four - me, my husband and our 2 little girls. We always book through the sun (you know, their collect the vouchers, £15 per person offer). Every year we have gone at some point between the last week of June and the last week of July and it has cost us £68.50 for 4 nights and five days including travel insurance. We then book an extra 2 nights through the park and in total our holiday normally costs about £110 which includes a week at the park, travel insurance, gas/electric and passes to the entertainment complex.
