Horse Riding in the wild west of Spain!

Advantages: Great horses and people, lovely views, close to airport and village.
Disadvantages: Very hot in August, definitely need a hire car.

...I was looking on the internet one day for a Horse Riding holiday in Spain. I found a couple, but none that really interested me. Then I went on ebay and just typed in "Horse Riding Spain". (I didnt want to spend ages on there!!!). There was a listing on there that interested me. The listing said they do riding in the mountains and desert. I didnt know Spain had a desert! I had rode before in the costa del sol but although where I rode was very nice, I was only allowed to ride in the arena. The roads were much to dangerous to go out and the school only catered for holidaymakers who were beginners. I wanted to find somewhere I could ride out and see the area. A beautifull walk near San Jose Spain

...A pretty cove and a beautiful walk near San José Spain We went on holiday to San José in Almeria Spain this Easter hols. This is a description of one of the best bays/beaches we found and a good coastal walk. We used the tourist hiking map Capo de Gata-Nijar (1:50.000 same scale as an standard OS map here) which we bought from the tourist information in San José, it comes with an accompanying book about the routes marked on the map. It also contained information about camping, apartments and other local information in Spanish. Dearly beloved can read some Spanish and I found I could follow a lot of the instructions fairly simply, you may be able to get an English copy. ...I must say first that we don't ride horses but we were looking for something different, so we looked on the internet for a holiday in the REAL Spain. We found a couple, but none that really interested me as they were packages and generally on the coast. Then we went on the internet for the area around Granada, as it was winter we wanted to look in the south of the country. Granada seemed a little cold for the south but as it was up in the mountains, we looked for places on the coast. The Holiday - a good chick flick

Advantages: Lighthearted, good cast

...The Holiday is a chick flick type film although it is not quite your normal chick flick. It is based around the story of two girls , Amanda, played by Cameron Diaz and Iris played by Kate Winslet. Amanda is a film trailer producer who has just broke up with her boyfriend, she lives in LA. Iris lives in Surrey in a little cottage and is a writer for a paper. ...The Holiday- I tried to get to see his at the cinema but i unfortunately missed out. Although after reading the reviews it was a mixed opinion, so as soon as it came out i purchased it so that i could judge for myself and its a great film. With Kate Winslet, Jack Black, Jude Law and Cameron Diaz it was an all star cast and a hopeless romantic film a definate chich flick. While trawling through the internet Amanda finds Iris' house being advertised on a house swap website and they both agree to swap houses over the Christmas period. LOST IN SPAIN...

Advantages: BEAUTIFUL PLACE - UNSPOILED - TRANQUIL - CLIMATE

...Well, I’m writing this on New Years Eve, in the office, but totally bored as none of my customers are in their offices so I can’t phone them to chase them for their missing adverts…*sigh* Anyway, my thoughts turned to holidays, like they do at times like this!! In 2002 I went to Seville, Spain. I have traveled quite a bit but not really in Europe much so I didn’t know what to expect. Seville is a beautiful town – very unspoiled. If you’re looking for the ‘real Spain’ I suggest Seville and we went at an excellent time weatherwise – not too hot or cold. We spent 5 days there in May 2002, at the Hotel San Gil – this is a 4 star hotel, where most of the rooms are suites, sadly we had one of the very few double rooms there. They serve breakfast and ‘bar snacks...

WHAT A VENTURA IN SPAIN !! (Hopefully in the right place now!!)

  A taste of Spain

Advantages: Nice weather, pretty cheap
Disadvantages: Almost like being home because of a large Norwegian community

...A short summary My wife Nikki and I went on a trip to Albir right north of Benidorm in Spain in the period August 27th to September 5th 2004. We went together with our friends Olav and Allis and their two kids.
