Here is my list of things to take with you on holiday: 1. First Aid Kit - you never know what's going to happen to you when you are away, so it's best to be prepared. What to Take on Holiday to Scotland

Advantages: Sunshine between showers.
Disadvantages: Showers.

.... Like sunshine follows rain, Aspen follows a rare serious op with a p*ss-take. Which, obviously, is exactly what this is. Scotland is a beautiful country, full of beautiful people. You will be welcome here, and you will love it. And if you can't find anyone else to welcome you, though I'm sure you will, email Aspen. I hope the Scottish Tourist Board has a sense of humour! PS. Hotel Hawaii & Nessabur, Bulgaria

...Just returned from a holiday in Nessabur, Bulgaria, staying at the Hotel Hawaii in a bed and breakfast basis. The hotel building from the outside looked like any other block from communist days BUT our room on the 13th floor was lovely, a little basic but very spacious and looked like it had only just been upgraded. Our fridge was missing and so were chairs to sit on! A request at the reception saw a couple of chairs and a fridge delivered. The room was kept spotlessly clean, swept and floor washed every day, new towels at least twice a week, linen also changed. The power shower in its own cubicle with loads of hot water was a first! The breakfast was one of the best we have had for many years. Hot and cold buffet, tea, coffee, fruit. ...I only really go on holiday to Italy. So by now, things that I take with me I kind of already have wherever I go. I like to get the packing out of the way at least a day and a half before I leave. Ok so straight away, I get my, new, big green suitcase and... The first thing I put in is - My clothes, generally useful in everyday life. My second Item is dispensable, but it is so important I almost put it first. Chewing gum - for on the plane when your ears start to hurt. Or to make the pain pass you could yawn... "yey". Thirdly - I bring, fashion and a lifestyle that makes others jealous (all Italians want to be English and are all like "Oh I love England, I would die to see beautiful London, what's it like" etc. Number 4 - Ear Plugs, I tend to sleep in the same room, if not the same bed as my brother. ...It's come to the summer again when people start jetting off on their summer holidays and I thought I would write about it. I am off to Florida in 3 weeks for two weeks with my family so I am getting ready and there is a fair bit to think about. Most of you will all know what is important but you would be surprised the amount of people who do forget things. I have seen these programmes on tv like airport and airline and people try to travel wothout their passports. 1. Passport You cannot possibly travel without a passport. If you forget it you are stuffed. There is no way they will let you travel. Also check that it is valid as again a lot of people forget to check that they are still valid and think that they have one ready and find it has run out. You may find this quite useful when you are boarding a plane to a foreign destination. But do you watch those airport TV programmes and laugh at all those people who arrive at the airport and don't have it with them? Oh, and don't pack it in your suitcase! 2. Money. This may come in handy when you want to eat, or buy a postcard. Best to take loads of travellers cheques in small denominations,as you will often find shops accept these as cash. Also take a small amount of paper money as well, for taxis from the airport and so forth. ...To be honest I struggled to think of 10 thinks that were essential for holidays (as most of it can be bougt there if forgotten). So these are more things that I have needed whether bought at the resort or in preporation 1) Swimsuit I love to have a sun bathe (if only for 1 relaxing day of my holiday) and a swit suit is essential for this. I have a tankini, which covers more flesh then a bikini. No matter where the holiday a swim in the pool is also require and a swim suit is essential for this too. 2) Sun Cream As I am extremely fair skinned, a high factor sun protection is a must have. After been badly burnt in Tenerife I try and have sun cream on whenever the sun is out - in the UK or abroad. 3) Money No holiday would be much fun without some money.
