...I've done a number of reviews on items that I've picked up cheaply from Home Bargains, so I thought why not do a review on the shop itself? Home Bargains is owned by a company called TJ Morris Ltd and the stores are currently popping up all over the country. I am lucky to have 2 different stores nearby which stock some of the same stuff and some different, so it does go to show that some different products are available at different stores. What things do they sell? You can pick up loads of different things off of your main shopping list in Home Bargains. It is not like a pound shop, which are normally just full of tat and the odd bargain. Home Bargains sell products that you would find in your local supermarket, just at a much lower price. Advantages: Some good bargains
Disadvantages: not always guaranteed to come back with what you went in for.

Take home a bargain today!

Advantages: lots of bargains to be had!
Disadvantages: stuff sells out quickly

...they all seem to have. There is plenty of room to move even if you have a buggy/pram or are in a wheelchair. The shops are always clean and staff reasonably helpful and friendly. Shelves are usually well stocked and there is always plenty of stuff available. Stock changes on a daily basis though and if you see something that you want get it while you are there as it may not be there tomorrow! They stock a wide range of things and all stores carry different stock. They stock things such as toys and games, videos, toiletries, food, kitchen and cookware, decorative items for the home, cleaning products, medicines, clothing, alcohol and seasonal stuff e.g. gardening, christmas stuff etc. A shop carrying that variety of stuff is all very well unless its a load of cheap rubbish - Thats where Home Bargains is different. There has been a Home Bargains Store in Sheffield where I live for a couple of years now, but it is only recently when the subject came up during a conversation with my Auntie in Blackpool that I realised they were part of a nation-wide chain. WAHEY! HOME BARGAINS RULES!

Advantages: A full trolly costs you a fiver...
Disadvantages: ...and goes out of date the next week

...Cheapies like me should definitely get to this shop. It's so ridciculously cheap that you can go shopping there at least 3 times before you've spent £20! It's great and I love it! *Appearance and layout* ---------------------------------- -It's not exactly the most attractive shop in town is Home Bargains. Bright red signs all over the place and horrible broken baskets and trollies. Not as bad as Kwiksave but getting there! The products are stored either in big stainless steel baskets or shoved onto shelves in a random order. It's sometimes difficult to find the prices of things too as some things are just shoved anywhere where they will fit. The only organised bit of Home Bargains is the fact that the aisles are clearly labelled and everything of the same type is put together. The chocolate aisle is the best...

Home Bargains Heaven

Advantages: Loads of cheap bargains!

...Home Bargains has been in Doncaster Town Centre for a few years now. About a year ago I got a job in the town centre and on my lunch i like to have a walk around. I decided to take a look in Home Bargains as my family and friends recommended it, WOW! I've never looked back! When you 1st walk in there is a glass window showing purfume, some are naff old brands, but they sell Hugo Deep Red for £19.99 which would cost about £29.99 in Boots! At the thought of that bargain i walked on.... On 1 side of the 1st isle there are hair products, Charles worthington, John Freda, Nicky Clark, Salon Chick, Treseme and loads of others all at a fraction of the High Street price. Bargain Hunting Made Easy Under One Roof

Advantages: They do almost everything at really fantastic prices
Disadvantages: Only a limited numbers of stores in the UK

...I love a bargain. I think we all do if we are honest with ourselves really. I mean why pay more for something that you can get for less? Never makes any sense to me why people would do that, unless they were absolutely filthy, stinking rich of course. Although even if I was rich I'd still be a bargain hunter - it's something that is either installed in your or not and in my case it most definitely is! If you are like me and like a bargain then Home Bargains is the store for you! I discovered it after a new retail park opened in town, it had the usual suspects - Next, Boots, Peacocks, TK Maxx and a shop I hadn't seen before Home Bargains. Bargains Bargains Bargains

...As an avid bargain basher i can't tell you how much I love this shop! It recently opened its doors in Coalville in Leicestershire about 4 months ago and I now visit each week to check out the latest bargains. Home bargains are part of TJ Morris ltd and the stores are mainly based in the north but thank my lucky stars one has landed in Leicestershire! Woo Hoo! The store itself is bright, well laid out and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The range of products is fantastic they have everything from toiletries to toys to crisps and alcohol. For example I bought a tube of nivea soft moisturiser for 99p (RRP£1.99), an original mud mask cost me 59p(RRP £1.10).
