Bose SoundDock Digital Music System Review
Advantages: Superb Sound, Very Loud, Ideal for Ipods
Disadvantages: not go to travel with, Extremely Expensive
...Bose SoundDock Digital Music System
I happened to get this as a gift and it turned out to be quiet interesting
Summary:
This dock is used mainly for ipod and allows you to connet mp3 players to it and listen to high quality music via speakers. It is idle for homes and small gatherings, although I would not run a party off these.
Pros:
This system has terrific sound and can go very load despite its relative small size. As with almost all Bose speakers the quality is amazing, so long as the source you are playing it from is high quality it will allow the speakers to each its potential.
I have a surround sound Bose set up in one of my rooms but now prefer to use this product as it is very simple to operate. Just plug the mp3 player in and press play and your set. Can't get much simpler. It also runs off a wall...

HOME CINEMA ON A BUDGET? TRY THESE.
Advantages: Small,unobtrusive satellite speakers.
Disadvantages: Not as good as larger speakers.
...I brought my set of tannoys 15 months ago and, at the time, they cost £300.Now,with a little searching around, they can be obtained for under £200.
What you get in the box is five satellite speakers(two front, two rear and a centre speaker) plus a seperate powered subwoofer.
You also get wall mounted supports for the two front and two rear speakers and all the speaker cables(i changed the cables to 79 stand q.e.d. speaker cable to improve the sound).
Setting up the system is relatively easy:you just need an electric drill for the the wall mounted stands and once fitted, you just connect the cables to your home cinema amp. Easy!!
Once you have connected everything,it is time to try out the system. My first reaction and i am sure yours will be the same was one of complete disbelief!!
The sound quality for such small speakers...

home cinema for your viewing
Advantages: stylish, reliable, clear sound
Disadvantages: none
...I bought my cinema pack just under a year ago and it?s still in working order. It has a modern appearance so its still looks quite new.
JVC?s Cinema Pack contains all you need to turn your living room into a fully fledged mini-audiotorium ? you just supply the screen, the form of a TV or projector. The DVD player, surround sound amplifier and speakers are all here. The DVD player and amplifier/control centre come as separate stackable units with the connectors necessary to join them and connect a TV.
The DVD player is JVC?s XV-E1112 and is finished with a smart silver/grey front and well positioned buttons. It is capable of playing a wide range of formats including DVD, Svcd and VCD for video and MP3 music for audio. Both CD-R and CD-RW discs are also supported.
The control centre deals with the surround sound amplifying...

Credo - I believe in cinema
Advantages: Beautiful, artistic, accessible
Disadvantages: Some may be put off by the subtitling
...FILM ONLY (with brief reference to the Director's Cut)
Foreign language films are rarely top of my watch list although I have seen some cracking examples. Invariably those that I like tend to the arty side of cinema. Occasionally there'll be a foreign language breakthrough like Amelié which brings this genre to the attention of a wider audience whereas films such as Tous les Matins du Monde will remain forever in the background.
Cinema Paradiso is, however, a film that is both accessible and beautiful and cannot fail to be appreciated by anyone with a love of cinema. That it is subtitled is far from distracting, the photography taking care of the story for the most part and one is quickly subsumed into a world that is all encompassing.
Post-war Italy was a very different place to the society in which we live...

Love cinema? Cineworld Unlimited Card
Advantages: Great value if you use it
Disadvantages: Can be cheaper to pay as you go
...'.
The upshot of this was that seeing a film at a 'proper' cinema meant an hour's drive each way to either Braintree or Ipswich. So when I moved to Northamptonshire, the lure of not one but TWO multiplexes in spitting distance was too strong to resist. At that time, the UGC cinema was on my route home from the office and I found it very difficult to drive past and not drop in especially as I was in temporary 'digs' waiting for a house purchase to go through. The UGC became my second home.
The first time I visited I discovered the Unlimited scheme.
How it works
***********
For just £10.99 a month (it was £9.99 when I joined nearly 2 years ago) you can go to the cinema as often as you want. It really is that simple.
You can use your local cinema or any other Cineworld cinema, anywhere in the country - with the exception of the 4 West End...

Home Cinema Heaven!
Advantages: Big screen, great picture, surround sound, sleek
Disadvantages: Need persuading to leave the sofa!
...!
How to
The instruction book is lengthy and detailed and even I managed to comprehend it! The 2 scart plugs on the rear are easily accessibleAlso on the back: the antennae; pcmcia card slot; 2 x hdmi slots; 1 digital audio out; 1 rs232c in; 1pc in; 1 audio in; component in slots; s video slot; 3 coloured inputs for dvd / gamimg etc all labelled and accessible should you so desire!
Listen
The speaker sound is fantastic. The speaker runs along the front of the screen along the base. It has surround sound and is very vivid.
Cinema
Without dominating the room in its off position, when in use this TV is like having the cinema at home. The picture has strong colours, there is no picture fade anywhere on the screen and the small frame around the edge means that the picture seems really big.
Can it get better?
This huge TV...

A Cinema At Home
Advantages: Very large screen
Disadvantages: No PC input and DVI input (for a Digital Video Interface)
...Watching television shows has never been easy when what you have is only a small television at home because you have to be at the center of the screen to view the images very clear and it will be worst if you are a big family because you have no choice but to compress in the center.
Unlike having a very big one like the remote-controlled Philips 37 PFL 5522 D which that has a very large screen of 37 inches wide, and displaying a highly defined and colorful images in a 1366 x 768 pixels resolution, you can watch at it with all your comfort at an angle of up to 178 degrees and at a distance of up to three times the size of the screen.
Being formatted at 16:9, it would be very suitable for building a home cinema. As for its brightness and contrast, it has 500 cd/m2 and 6000:1 respectively, which is brighter enough for your visual...

The Start of The Digital Era...
Advantages: Great Value, Good Features, Fantastic Quality Sound
Disadvantages: Silly Placement of the Mains Plug At The Back
...I have always been a fan of the radio and although I have quite specific music tastes, I enjoy having the variety and general natter of a radio on in the background, especially to reduce boredom or to make a place seem a little more alive when your home alone.
The Pure One Digital DAB Radio is the first and only DAB radio I have owned, you?ve got to move with the times right? I had been thinking about purchasing one for a while after hearing good things about this little radio and have now been enjoying it for about 6 months.
The Pure One comes in a choice of 3 colours; black, pink and white. I would have loved to have brought the pink one as it?s a cute pastel colour, but opted for the funky and modern white, mainly due to the fact I was planning on using the radio in my office and most of my colleagues already think I?m a bit OTT...

Cinema from home!
Advantages: Best quality sound!
Disadvantages: room shakes (not good for the neighnours!)
...This is one of the best quality home cinema players you can get, Its made by Sony who have a brillant reputation, You also have a usb cable at the back so you can plug in your iPod so you have AMAZING sound, trust me it is! (you can also play photo slide shows on it!)
The price is VERY good for the quality of the product, I would pay alot more if i knew how good it was when i shopping and saw it!
Its is easy to install (even for someone who isnt used to setting up dvd players!)
The sub woofer makes the room shake and feels like you are in the actual movie, but not a good idea if you have alot of neighbours around!
I would give this 4.5/5...
