...We bought this dvd/home theatre system from indexshop.co.uk at a price of £99.99. The player itself is quite small as dvd players go but is quite heavy for it's size.It comes with speakers: front left and right,rearleft and right,centre and subwoofer, it also incorporates a dolby 5.1 decoder. Connecting the speakers is very easy, all the terminals on the rear are marked with the appropriate speaker connections and are colour coded to match the colour code on the speaker cables.The hardest thing is deciding where to place the speakers. The manual is very good, describing both verbaly and graphically how to connect everything together .It will play dvd,mp3,cd-r and jpeg(kodak picture discs).It plays dvd-r too.It does all the usual things,angle selection(if you can find a dvd with multi-angle). ...Bose SoundDock Digital Music System I happened to get this as a gift and it turned out to be quiet interesting Summary: This dock is used mainly for ipod and allows you to connet mp3 players to it and listen to high quality music via speakers. It is idle for homes and small gatherings, although I would not run a party off these. Pros: This system has terrific sound and can go very load despite its relative small size. As with almost all Bose speakers the quality is amazing, so long as the source you are playing it from is high quality it will allow the speakers to each its potential. I have a surround sound Bose set up in one of my rooms but now prefer to use this product as it is very simple to operate. Just plug the mp3 player in and press play and your set. HOME CINEMA ON A BUDGET? TRY THESE.

Advantages: Small,unobtrusive satellite speakers.
Disadvantages: Not as good as larger speakers.

...I brought my set of tannoys 15 months ago and, at the time,they cost £300.Now,with a little searching around,they can be obtained for under £200. What you get in the box is five satellite speakers(two front,two rear and a centre speaker) plus a seperate powered subwoofer. You also get wall mounted supports for the two front and two rear speakers and all the speaker cables(i changed the cables to 79 stand q.e.d. speaker cable to improve the sound). Setting up the system is relatively easy:you just need an electric drill for the the wall mounted stands and once fitted,you just connect the cables to your home cinema amp. Easy!! Once you have connected everything,it is time to try out the system. My first reaction and i am sure yours will be the same was one of complete disbelief!! The sound quality for such small speakers...

...this is a very nice product, easy to use, have been use it alot of time. product with a reasonable price, which is afordable for most ppl. it is a very safty system, I do not use extra firewall to protect my computer. the revert system is very helpful, when your system does not works well, you can easily sort it out by reverting your system to the back. home edition does not have so many features as the professional edition, but it is enough for personal use, and the price is much cheaper than the professional. SP2 is emphasis on the safty of system in my understanding, i kept upgrade every week, and I surf on net everday, but have never get spyware from internet. The only disadvantage is the there is no much features on this system, it is not beautiful as some other systems....

Advantages: sleek looks, deep bass, crisp treble, clear midrange, easy to use
Disadvantages: cant set different rear speaker sound levels between surround modes

...for playing stereo music where the sound from the front speakers is copied and played at the same level out of the rear speakers. Ok, fair enough you get a much more exciting sound with CD's if you crank the rear speakers and hit Pro Logic II's music or movie setting. Still, once you set all the speaker levels to your taste (and aslo program in your actual distance between front and rear speakers - a setting that I cannot tell any difference between even at extreme settings, one for audio freaks I imagine) you get to enjoy the sweet, sweet sound of the Sony. At flat EQ settings the treble is crisp and tight, probably as good as you'd expect given the size of the speakers but I think the wattage speaks for itself here. Excellent travel system

...Being a first time Mum, I searched around all the high street shops for a functional and attractive travel system. Out of all the prams this one had the easiest folding down system, even tho it was slightly on the heavy side I could fold it down with 1 hand! The carry cot was great for the first 4 months fitting in to the pram snuggly as the seat folded flat (which I found alot of other prams didn't do) The car seat had a base that made it so easy to take the baby in and out of the car (no messing around with seat belts every time!) It is also very well padded, however it didnt come with cushioned protectors on the straps. When we were taking baby home for the first time, the midwife told us it needed them which were only £5 extra to buy.
