...management roles such as lighting and sound are controlled from. My Opinion Of The Marlowe I would certainly recommend a trip to the Marlowe Theatre if you are visiting Canterbury. The vast choice of shows means that there is literally something to suit everyones taste. Both the auditoriums are furnished to a high standard with comfortable seats and ample leg room for everyone to feel right at home while watching the shows. I have also eaten in the restaurant during my latest visit to the Marlowe and I found the restaurant to have plenty of choice on the menu, the staff were polite and the food was speedy and very tasty. In the restaurant, you have the choice of snack food, or a three course meal which suits most peoples tastes as you are still able to grab something to eat if you are in a rush. A THEATRE WITH A VIEW

Advantages: Open air Theatre does not come any better.
Disadvantages: Those hard seats, do not forget the cushions.

For persons like me who do not drive, there are Scheduled Bus Services from Penzance. the 300 and the 1A which both stop in Porthcurno Valley, the theatre is a further 400 meter walk up a steep hill. Review of Minack Theatre Cornwall

A TV that delivers a home theatre experience.

Advantages: Elegant case, good connectivity, good hidden speakers
Disadvantages: I've got to upgrade my AV amplifier!

It was going to be free standing, so the first task was to assemble the stand, then attach it to the TV. The TV was surprisingly heavy as it came free off the box, and I laid it face down on strategically placed cushions while the stand was attached. Once again there is a comprehensive set of connections on this TV, but no DVI, the digital socket for computers, but I had aquired a DVI to HDMI cable, so I was set. If you use an AV amplifier, sound is taken from the TV by an optical cable. My old Sherwood amp doesn't support this, and the headphone jack did not carry the full signal to the speakers. Theatre with a dramatic background!

Advantages: spectacular backdrop of the sea, very cheap

...Previously when I have been to Cornwall and the weather has been good we have spent most of our time on the many beaches. This time however the weather was poor, with lots of wind and rain - not the sort of weather you want to be sitting on the beach in, unless you're a surfer of course and then I suppose it is ideal! This didn't really matter too much though because it gave us a chance to visit many of the famous sights and attractions. We visited lots of places including Saint Michaels Mount and the Eden Project, but probably the most charming thing that we visited was the Minack Theatre in Porthcurno. Unlike many of the other attractions it had a real Cornish feel to it and was really worth seeing. For those of you who have never heard of the Minack Theatre (and that's probably most of you) it's a really spectacular place...

Even in my adulthood, I am more than happy to watch the film again, and when I was a kid I use to remember watching this film a hundred times during the Christmas holidays and summer holidays. Disadvantages: If you watch a show you don't like, it might cloud your whole judgement
