...Perfect home appears to appeal to the Ikea set or maybe those well off young people (who used to be called yuppies) who probably move straight into a brand newly built house as their first home. The overall style of the magazine is definitely contemporary (You won't find eclectic or 'oddbal' homes featured here) and 'young'. The magazine tends to feature the home room by room, by this I mean the contents are divided into living, kitchens and dining, bathrooms, bedrooms and so on, although readers homes are featured and there are other features dotted throughout the magazine of course. There are usually some 'goodies' or 'giveaways' up for grabs, but you don't get a plethora of competitions in Perfect Home as you do with some mags. ...REal Homes - THis is exactly what you get in this super, bright and breezy home magazine. If you like looking at other people's interiors (which I do!!!) which are not zany, crazy or completely over the top then this is the publication for you. This is the cheapest of all the interiors magazines at just £1.90 and what excellent value for money it is! The readers' homes are lovely - real homes just like ones ordinary people aspire to - there are plenty of paint effects and DIY features, cooking, property features and much more packed between the covers. What I particularly like about Real Homes is the number of 'projects' - I am very arty crafty myself. Paint effects, picture frames, plus loads of other 'tips' and ideas. Also, this magazine seems to have about 20 - 30 pages more than some of the other interiors magazines. Great value... Read review

...As a seller of Modern Living Items and Art, Living Etc is a great magazine for those of us who enjoy making our homes look good, great for those of us who like looking at other peoples homes and those of us who are designers. Living Etc encouraged me to take the dive into the interior design world because of how interesting they make their articles. They take normal people from all over the country,, and do articles on their homes and how they have been designed. They give you floor plans so you can see if your home is laid out the same or similar so that you can see if you can take on some of their ideas. They also do a page at the end of each home article, giving you items you can buy similar to those in the homes. These articles are always affordable for the standard familys which makes this magazine more suitable for the average... Read review

...This site is brilliant. It holds a wealth of information in addition to many different houses to buy and rent. It also contains up to date stories about issues facing home owners and buyers and is an interesting site to visit. The search facility enables you to give precise instructions and usually provides a huge range of homes to look at. The information provided about each property is enough to give a clear picture and photographs are also available with most advertisements. ...I like making things and this magazine combines home decorating ideas and craft ideas quite well. It features articles on readers’ homes, decorating ideas, gardening and other stuff found in most home magazines. However, it also give really good, clear instructions as to how you can make and recreate these ideas. The items you will need are listed and it shows you where you can buy them and their cost. It shows you how to make stuff that is actually useful in decorating your home, not things that will end up in a cupboard somewhere. Often there is a free gift associated with some of the articles and they have special readers’ offers.... Read review

...I am 19 and have been a Spurs supporter all my life. The secret to success in the premiership is to win both home and away matches. This season Spurs just cannot win away from home. At home they are second to none and this is due to the pressing game they play, which forces the opponent deep to defend, leading to defensive errors, and therefore goals for Spurs. Away from home, Spurs just don't press enough. They sit back and invite the opposition on, leading errors and conceading unnecessary goals. If Spurs are to improve away from home, they must press the team, and keep their lead (and could do with less injuries!!)... Read review

Disadvantages: DEATH by Carbon Monoxide

...Being a Fireman i would recommend a Carbon Monoxide Detector for every home which has gas appliances, either it would be fires or cookers. Carbon Monoxideis a gas with no colour and is completely odourless and is a one of the biggest killers in the home. It usally gets people while they are asleep and is caused by appliances not being cleaned properly or being installed by people who dont know what they are doing, So make sure if anyone installs anything for your home they are Corgi registered and you recieve a valid certificate. Also i hope everyone has got smoke detectors in there homes aswell, But remember a smoke detector will not pick up Carbon Minoxide at all.... Read review

...I think that Home Front is a far superior programme than the BBC's other offering - Changing rooms. Home front has a magazine style format which works well. The 30 minutes is jam packed with ideas tips and how to. They do do the viewers home bit - this seems to look a little bit more professional than the results in changing rooms. They usually also feature a couple doing up a wreck - you watch it grow into a home week by week. Some of the decoration tips are really good as they are explained to you step by step. A far better programme than changing rooms why it isnt on BBC1 I really dont know!... Read review

...Your Home magazine is about home improvement ideas, generally on a smaller budget. It has a cheap'n'cheerful feel to it - not a glossy mag with thick glossy pages, but it does pack in a lot for the money. I particularly like the cheap'n'cheerful aspect of the magazine because it feels accessible - you feel that the improvement ideas are not going to be wildly expensive or out of your league skill-wise. This makes it feel a lot more personal than the more expensive "glossy" home magazines. For content, Your Home follows the general mixture of articles and features in such magazines, for example the reader's homes section, the letters section and also a good selection of competitions, as well as price and quality comparisons on furniture and white goods.
