Honda 4x4
Review of Honda CR-V 2.0 i-VTEC Executive by  lukemillo1

Advantages: Lots of space
Disadvantages: Would you use it to 4X4

...After driving this vehicle even though it was only for an hour i quickly found out that this car has the Honda quality that they are well known for. A estate car that has the means to go off road for some 4x4 experience but i have never seen one on a 4x4 track and would be surprised if anyone would take it on one. As you can see from the picture the car has its own image and I wouldn't no how to describe it, it looks nice as a road car but has to much for a 4x4 car where you want the car to take bangs and crunches, i would be to worried about messing up the paint job. This has excellent boot space and the back seats can be put down for extra room. The seating positions give you lots of room with ample headroom but the hand break could be in a better position. The boot door can be bad, as it swings open and could do... Read review

Save The 4x4 - It's As Important As A Whale!
Review of Should 4x4 Cars Be Banned? by  markd_uk

Advantages: 4x4 Vehicles Are As Needed By Some As Smart Cars Are By Others
Disadvantages: Needless Government Taxation

...Hi, my name's Mark and I'm a four-by-four driver. [Cue: round of applause] Phew, I'm glad I've got that off my chest. I mean, it's difficult these days driving around in a car that causes everybody to hate you. It makes you feel like a pariah. Thanks to the government, mentioning that they were going to tax so-called Chelsea Tractors off the road, the media have gone into an anti-4x4 frenzy and now it seems that owning such a vehicle is as socially unacceptable as running naked down the middle of the high street. Let's examine this for a moment. What is it that Range Rovers, Jeeps, Toyota Land Cruisers - and the plethora of other off-road vehicles that make up this category - are doing that makes them so despised? After all, they take up less space on the road than your everyday Rolls Royce and the boss's BMW 7-series is quite... Read review

4X4 Evolution is great
Review of 4 x 4 Evolution (PS2) by  dreadedfist

Advantages: Completely modifiable 4X4 vehicles that can be changed to fit your specific needs
Disadvantages: Not enough tracks to race on

...This game is absolutly amazing! After playing the game for almost a week, I've come to the following conclusions. The Graphics are completely astounding, and really help make you feel like you're truly behind the wheel of a souped up 4X4! The SFX are great. 4X4 EVO features every type of sound imaginable, including: enviornment, skidding, acceleration, car horns, and the "thump thump crash" of driving across a sand dune at 80 MPH towards a checkpoint! One of the greatest aspects of 4X4 Evolution is the "go anywhere" style the developers approached the game with. Sure, you could follow the predesigned paths and roads, but why not experiment with all different types of routes that you can take to win the race? Driving over mountains, through forests, through streams and off bridges is a great deal of fun that really adds... Read review

4x4 Evolution
Review of 4 x 4 Evolution (PS2) by  yago82

Advantages: many
Disadvantages: few

...4x4 Evolution, hasn't really evolved at all from the old style of 4x4 trucking games, although it has a superb start up, the game is just one long boring road, much like 4 Wheel Thunder. The developers Terminal Reality have obviously tried to add a spark of originality and innovation into the game, but unfortunately, as with many Dreamcast racing games, this one is a right bore. Boring circuits - they couldn't even be bothered to design them with interesting layouts - some will put you to sleep! The 4x4 vehicles look ok, but most handle like hyper active elephants - very hard to control, awful turning and a disappointing sensation of realism and proportion. Graphically it's ok, nothing more, nothing less - they're better than PlayStation graphics, obviously - the DC is a 128bit console, but the game just doesn't feel right - it... Read review

Lennyman buys Another great 4x4
Review of Mitsubishi Pajero 4x4 Import by  LennyMan

Advantages: Great all-round performance, style and gadgets
Disadvantages: The SWB version is too small for shopping at Tesco's

...Avid reader.... You will of course know my style by now, and understand that I get a little overenthusiastic about the toys that I buy. However... This time I waited a while before writing my review, but can still say that this IS a FANTASTIC car! Let's start with why you should buy the Imported Pajero rather than it's English cousin the Shogun... First you have to understand *why* there are so many Pajero's in the UK. This started back in the early nineties when the only decent 4x4's you could get were imports (other than Land Rover/Range Rover's), and normally an imported car would need 'conversion' to the UK (e.g. Swapping over of the steering wheel to the correct side etc.) This is not the case with a Pajero, as the Japanese drive on the same side of the road as us! The only changes that need to be made are; Indicator lights... Read review

Honda make a Jeep.
Review of Honda CR-V by  andycharger

Advantages: Nice looking car with practical benefits
Disadvantages: Rear visibility

...I would not think of Honda when it comes to 4 X 4 jeep type off roaders. Landrover,Suzuki and Chrysler Jeep yes! it now seems every motor manufacturer wants to jump on the offroad bandwagon and build a 4 x 4. But the Honda CRV is a nice little car as well as an off roader. I compare it to the Rav 4 and BMW or Mercedes offering. Special edition models of popular cars usually add a number of extra equipment items for little extra cost and that's exactly what Honda offers with its HR-V 'Special Edition'. It comes in 2 flavours of Jeep. A 2 Wheel version and a 4WD version. The difference in Price is only £500 to. Exterior. --------- It looks like a high wheel base car with its 16-inch alloy wheels, a rear spoiler, integrated roof rails and body coloured side sills. Add to this a solid Spare Wheel cover coloured to the car... Read review

HONDA JAZZ 1.4 SE CVT-7. AUTOMATICALLY BETTER?
Review of Honda Jazz by  RICHADA

Advantages: Great Transmission. Smooth Engine. Low Running Costs. Hugely Spacious Interior. Build Quality.
Disadvantages: Messy Dashboard Styling. Uninspiring Exterior Styling.

...WHAT IS IT? The Jazz is Honda's entry into the highly contested and ever popular "supermini" market. It is a five door hatchback, a very simple range to choose from as there are no variants; saloon, convertible etc, all Jazz models therefore share the same "two box" styling. For those of you to whom it may be important, the dimensions are as follows: Length 3845mm x Width 1878mm x Height 1525mm. It is therefore a fairly short, yet wide and tall small car, having a tardis affect inside where it seems much larger than you would think looking at the car sitting next to the pavement. There are any number of competitors from Japanese, Korean and European countries, probably its' most likely competition can be found in the form of the Ford Fiesta, Mitsubishi Colt, Nissan Micra and Vauxhall Corsa, all of which offer a much larger... Holy Honda it's a Civic!
Review of Honda Civic 1.8 SE by  linkz0rz

Advantages: Fresh, economical, it's a Honda with legendary reliability!
Disadvantages: Rear window, motorway road noise, 'plasticky' body parts

...Brand new Civic 2007, correct as of 05/08/2007 My gard... a Honda Civic not aimed at the old fogeys of middle class England? This is a car worth checking out. As a test I actually took this car and showed it to a few senior citizens who themselves own Hondas, mainly the Honda “mid-life crisis” 4x4 CR-V. I am happy to report that after 3 hours of speculating and afternoon napping, they did not like it at all. That, therefore, means that this car is officially cool. I got this car because the Type-R was way more expensive, was in a higher insurance group and costed more to pay tax for to be on the road. The car I have here is the 5 door 1.8l i-VTEC ES version, not the SE. Let’s face it, although SE costs around £1000 less, it has much less in features and doesn’t have the glass roof! SE doesn’t have cruise control as standard... Read review

Honda CR-V Mk 1
Review of Honda CR-V by  spongebob32

Advantages: Comfortable and Spacious
Disadvantages: No exciting gadgets in the cockpit

...I have owned my CR-V for about 8 months, and have covered over 11k miles already. Its one of the older models, 1998 and is the base model. I bought it because it fits in well with my leisure activitys, camping, mountain biking and windsurfing, as well as owning a dog. This is my third Honda, and to be honest I would be retisent to buy any other brand of car in the future! The interior is comfortable, and functional, not packed with loads of gadgets but has got all of the things you need. Thi being the basic model, has got no A/C but has got an enormous sunroof, which is electric, and far more fun than A/C. 4 x Electric windows with one touch drop on the drivers door. Central locking but not remote on this model, but that suits me, as I can put the key in the pouch of my wetsuit with no worries! Comfortable hardwearing fabric seats offer... Read review

IT'S NOT THE BEST 4X4
Review of Land Rover Freelander 2.0 by  leon452

Advantages: Still outselling any other 4x4
Disadvantages: Many.

...on a slope for display on the forecourt and one of the wheels was in the air. I put a discovery in exactly the same place and all the wheels were secure and fine. There are many more problems I could talk about ie the clutch, overheating, door fittings but it could take forever. i don't want hate mail here but just wanted to point out to people who are thinking of buying one to watch out. For the price you pay for one I think they are shoddily built and you will end up paying the price. After all it is a Rover still. If you want a good 4x4 then pay a bit more for the Discovery or Range Rover. Otherwise go for a Honda CRV or BMW. The new Range Rover practically is A BMW. If you like them, go for it but I just wanted to point out and make people aware of these problems and if you decide you still want one go for a diesel and the new... Read review
