Honda Heat
Review of Honda Accord coupé by
sweetfire_01
Advantages: Longer lasting vehicles
Disadvantages: parts are a bit more expensive, but definitely worth it!
...more expensive than American car parts, but it pretty much evens itself out because you are paying more for your car parts that last three times as long as American parts do. Everything else about Hondas are positive.
You can get them in multiple colors(obviously). My 1986 Honda is a 5 speed with positive features like...power steering, Air Conditioning, Cruise Control, Recycled air option, Tilt steering, Reclining seats that are very comfortable for long trips.I am also impressed with the handling of this vehicle on the wet and dry roads. My favorite feature is the 5 speed(I would never own an automatic). Standard transmissions are a lot more maintenance free! One other thing I like about my Honda Accord, is it holds one gallon of windshield washer fluid(I am constantly using it to clean the windshield)That is a nice feature to me because...

This ad hits the nail on the head.
Review of Honda (TV Advertisement) by
RICHADA
Advantages: It does what it says on the soundtrack.
Disadvantages: The engines soundtrack is less catchy than the ad.
...Our Honda Accord diesel was purchased before Honda started airing this very popular TV ad.
My wife and I were quite hysterical (fortunately with laughter) when we first saw it on TV because we were guessing all the way through as to what the advert might be for. In this respect it is a truly excellent advert as you remember the punchline at the end.
Unlike the previous Accord advert - stunning visuals with various car parts - the punchline being "isn't it nice when everything just works" - which in our case was frustratingly untrue, the diesel advert has been proven in a years' use amounting to over 30,000 miles.
This is an exceptionally clean, ultra low polluting engine, which is remarkably refined in use. In fact it is refined by four cylinder petrol standards, let alone its' diesel origins.
From my point of view Honda have been...

Excellent Motor
Review of Honda Accord 2.0i ES by
CBland
Advantages: Reliability, power, price
Disadvantages: Miles per gallon
...This is the second Honda Accord that I have owned. I currently have the hatchback model. The car is very quiet, very reliable and has good acceleration. It is an excellent car for cruising without any strain. My previous model didn't have cruise control but this one does. Not very useful around rural Norfolk but is good on motorways. Not too many colours to choose from. I have had the black but currently have one that looks wine coloured! Seats very comfortable and drivers seat is easy to adjust. Good range of extras come with the standard package.
I can recommend the Accord....

good all rounder
Review of Honda Accord 2.0i LS by
smoran
Advantages: build qualityy
Disadvantages: bmw / audi better ?
...my friend who has got an accord has written the following for you all ! : steve
It is easy to see why the Accord is consistently one of the top selling cars in the country. While it does nothing exeptionally well, it does everything average or better, allowing it to appeal to a large audience. Throw in a reasonable price and legendary reliability and you've got a formula to appeal to the masses. Which, unfortunately, is what Honda has to do. Honda is one of the only small independent manufacturers left, so it must build its bread and butter cars to appeal to as many people as possible. This is unfortunate, because Honda has the ability to produce some amazing cars (Acura NSX, Integra Type R, etc), but none of that sizzle makes its way into the Accord. Not that the Accord isn't a good car; it just doesn't really excite the driver...

The best car I've owned yet!
Review of Honda Accord coupé by
Whrrr
Advantages: Comfort, power, roominess, quality and a rare image.
Disadvantages: V6 fuel consumption and insurance (variable).
...When looking for a second-hand car, this is not one that sprung to mind. However, having taken a look at this rare coupé, it was pleasent to find a model that rivals the more common BMW 3-series coupé or Mercedes coupés.
Rare it may be, but standard Honda parts are easily available and Honda service is superb.
The car is very comfortable and quiet. It is a joy to drive, the V6 version giving some rewarding power and an enjoyable driving experience. Equipment level is high, making long journies effortless and even refreshing. There is plenty of room, even for rear-seat passengers. Luggage space is also extremely good.
As a second-hang buy, this car is extremely good value. Not only are you buying the legendry Honda quality, but you get just about everything you would expect in a luxury coupé. The V6 engine and automatic 'box (also very...

15,000 miles in an Accord 2.2 CTDI Executive
Review of Honda Accord CTDi (Diesel) by
niglom
Advantages: Very Quiet, spacious, comfortable, good handling, economical
Disadvantages: Lacks charisma and prestige (but who cares?) built in radio
...In all I travel over 35,000 miles a year and change my car every year or two.My job involves me in a 150 mile round journey each day, so I need comfort, economy and reliability.
The Honda Accord delivers all of these.
First it's reasonably fast with a virtually no power band as such. It has plenty of torque spread throughout the rev range. It's not the 0-60 thats quick it's the 30-50 and 50-70 times. This makes for easy overtaking. I had a VW Passat 130bhp diesel before this and that had a very distinct powerband.
I also pull a one and a quarter ton caravan with this car. It'll romp up hills at 60mph in fifth with the Crusie Control on.
I'm getting an average of 48mpg (towing 32mpg). I can understand some people getting less than this, as if you drive it with some spirit and use all the rev range (which unlike some diesels the Honda...

Down to earth with a bump!
Review of Honda by
RICHADA
Advantages: It's next to the largest M&S in Sussex
Disadvantages: Cramped, lousy parking, invisible service dept.
...It's a Honda, don't be ridiculous there couldn't possibly be anything wrong with it.
Having just eulogised over a 14 year relationship with my previous (Vauxhall) dealer, I am moved to write about our local Honda dealer - Brighton Honda.
You have to have a certain amount of sympathy with this outfit, they did not know me from Adam and when I walk into a car dealer I make it my business to know just a little bit about the product that I or my company are going to pay £20,000 for.
However this started badly, yes I was after a new Accord Diesel, yes it had only been on the market for a month or so but not being able to source a brochure or spec. sheet for a new model struck me as a little offhand.
Never mind, fortunately I had read the rave press reports, I had also managed to get hold of a demonstrator from another Honda dealer (John...

A Top Competitior
Review of Honda Accord 2.0i ES by
kfingleton
Advantages: A gook looker that gives real driver satisfaction
Disadvantages: Inferior build quality on the inside
...As far as I'm aware, the Honda Accord is the best selling car in the USA. Selling in massive numbers is usually the sign of a very unexceptional and frankly boring car (see the Toyota Corolla for the perfect example). Although the new Accord isn't exactly radical looking in its design, it is in its own way quite distinguished and indeed far more sporty looking than the VW Passat or the Nissan Primera. The Accord may eclipsed in terms of sales by the spectacularly ordinary Opel/Vauxhall Vectra and the terrible Ford Mondeo but at least it's a fresher face when we see one.
Hondas are always much more popular with their owners than with the anti-Asian British press (I mean in terms of cars, not race). They are solid, reliable, not unattractive and have excellent engines. The Accord adheres to this way of thinking to the letter and builds...

Bargain cars with nippy performance
Review of Rover 216 Gti by
hubbabaloo
Advantages: Honda reliability for Rover price
Disadvantages: Only models previous to 1995 have the Honda engine
...As an owner of one of these cars and a former owner of the Honda equalivant I can easily advise you that the two are basically the same model previous to 1995.
As anyone who dabbles in secondhand cars will know, Honda prices secondhand are far higher then Rover's. The reason being reliability, well I have a tip for you, this car was often made with the Honda engine.
The way to tell the bargain model is to check the V5 registration document, the Honda engine code starts with D16
These engines are used in Civics, CRX, Accord and also this model Rover 216. Up until 1994, Honda and Rover were merged 20% and shared car design and production facilties, this practise is increasingly common in the car industry due to the amount of money that can be saved on creating the basic structure of a car.
Of course in 1995, BMW took over...

Review of Honda Accord 2.3 by
colin426
Advantages: comfy and warm
Disadvantages: do not know of any
...Got my car, on 19/03/ 08, guess what, on the, 24/03/08 gave up the ghost, a malfunction warning light on. ok back to garage, no probs, now 01/04/08, been told, a seal between gearbox and driveshaft is the fault, ok can put up with that.
So much for the Honda reliability, but acept these things happen.
This car is 02 reg, 45800 miles, so not used and abused, I think, who knows . my only complaint is MPG, very poor, only do urban, 2.5 mls to work, and back, be real, what can you expect, so no comment really, not Hondas fault.
The car is comfy, warm, air con is good, but miss the heated screen my Ford had, if only, should be compulsary in all cars.
Boot space is good, better than Mondeo, but not by much.
Just in case you are not aware, traded my Mondeo Ghia X hatch in for this car, what a load of junk it was, all the toys an alternative...
