CBR600 - Simply the Best
Review of Honda - CBR600 by
simon.page
Advantages: handling, performance, and comfort
Disadvantages: parts expensive, dropping in value fast
...If you want a motorcycle that can be comfortable to tour on, yet can also be ridden like a racer, then look no further. My CBR600 out handles any other machine that I’ve ridden, from the ZX6-r's to the GSX-r's in the same class. Nothing wants to corner like the CBR, and A superb engine delivers plenty of low down torque that is consistant all the way to its 13500 rpm redline. The handlebars are not as low as on out and out racers, so there is less wrist strain at low speeds, and the seat is more of a luxury item than your standard plank of wood with a slight covering of cloth! Bridgestone BT56 Tyres on the front and a BT57 on the rear - or even the new OWO1's would defiantly be the combination to go for....

beautiful machine!
Review of Honda CBR600F4 by
RICHIE75
Advantages: fantastic value, proven history
Disadvantages: yamaha outperforms
...Yes it really is!
the cbr6 was officially my first bike aftter passing my test and what a bike!
many people said to me its too big for a first bike go for a 400
Being 6'2" tall, a 400 was not the bike for me, and after test-riding the zx6 and thundercat, decided that the honda was for me.
The only 600 that can match it is the yamR6, but the long solid history of the honda persuaded me!
fantastic handling, mine has done 155 mph (in germany)
never broken down, only been back to the dealer for servicing
and runs like a dream!
best money iever spent!...

Best all-rounder
Review of Honda CBR600F4 by
KBradley
Advantages:
Disadvantages:
...The Honda CBR600 really is the best all-rounder. I am now on my second and would not consider any other. Pillion comfort is essential, as my wife goes everywhere with me, and she remains cramp free while other wifes/girlfriends on other sports bikes are left in pain after long rides. The performance is more than adequate for normal road riding and the handling is superb. I've been riding bikes for nearly twenty years and I still reach my limit of performance long before my bike does. Also, as a bonus, it has the build quality that only Honda can offer....

CBR600 sets the standard
Review of Honda CBR600F4 by
colinkirkpatrick
Advantages: Reliability, Riding Position, Longevity, Good Pillion Seat
Disadvantages: Slightly down on power
...I have not owned a bike for about 30 years (my last machine was a Z900 Kawasaki). I decided last year to take the plunge and get back in the saddle. I read all the road tests available on every sports bike going, and after numerous test rides I bought a 1998 CBR600FW. This machine has been a revelation. It is nothing like the Z900, which was an ill handling and sluggish beast. The CBR600 is absoultely perfect for anyone new to the world of sports bikes, or thinking about buying a performance bike. It can be docile and is easy to ride in town yet on the track (i.e. track days)it can mix it with the best. The riding position is an excellent compromise between commuting and open road blasting. The the machine is totally reliable, and totally predictable in terms of handling. Finally, the build quality is the best in its class. Although...

Ref to: CBR600F
Review of Honda CBR600FS Road Bike by
BuddieM8
Advantages: Brilliant all rounder
Disadvantages: er cant think of any!
...I have a CBR600F its a J reg (92) so its quite old. But theres still alot of life in the ol girl. Its my first bike, so I'm bound to be a bit bias, but I had done alot of research before I got it, to find out what would be the best first time bike to get. This is a good ALL ROUNDER bike. It handles well at really slow speeds, when you need your clutch control, when filtering or moving in slow traffic, and it handles well at high speed. It definately has the power there (even in top gear) to get you out of difficult situations should you need to. It is an easy bike to manuover, and it can take alot of abuse. Its brilliant on fuel. It has a comfy seat for you and the pillion. I think thats pretty vital esp if going on a long journey, which I have done many times now, taken long weekends away, touring the countryside. Its handles...

Sweet lovely F4
Review of Honda CBR600F4 by
quick789
Advantages: Nimble bike for practical every day use for street, Track and Tour
Disadvantages: Too tame...
...I have been riding my gixxer for 40 month till I get my CBR900RRV in 00. Rode the Fireblade for 10 months till I laid my eyes on a used CBR600F4 June 2001, with 8000km on the clock.
Been riding it for 12 months and travelled 20000km under my hand....First impression of the bike is gentle instead of aggressive. This bike come with a mainstand....Scratch my head?? Why?? Now then I realised that this bike is meant for Track but yet retained it street usbility. Perfect for my case here.
I tried the 2001 CBR600f4i before I bought my F4. F4i pull slightly stronger at low rev, fret not F4 have no problem in keeping up at all times. Honda fuel-injection suck big time, F4i is so noisy and unrefined compared to the older brother the carb model.
My prior CBR900RRV was easy to live with, plus that tendon ripping power. Been doing abit of touring...

CBR600FW 1998 Import
Review of Honda CBR600F4 by
jjwalters
Advantages: Reliability, comfort, handling, looks
Disadvantages: No fork oil drain plugs
...From the recommendation of a motorcycle copper friend, I bought a brand new Dutch import from a Portsmouth dealer and have never regretted it.
I was reluctant at first to go for a bike with a larger seat-height after my Suzuki Bandit 400 - also an import.
So what's sp good.
Well Honda have been making these bikes for well over a decade, and have refined it and tuned it to perfection
The handling is spot on, forgiving even.
It's reliability and build quality is great - nothing has gone wrong whatsoever in 13000 miles and nearly 2 years use.
Very comfortable, so good for touring, but fast enough to keep up with all but the most modern of sportsters. I'm sure the 1999 and onwards versions are even faster.
The best bike I've ever had, from the best bike manufacturer....

What a Buzz !!
Review of Honda Hornet by
peachy
Advantages: Cheap and Fast
Disadvantages: Small fuel tank
...I did a direct access to pass my test about two years ago, my first ever real bike was the CBR600F Hornet which I still own. I didn’t want anything with full fairing partly due to the cost and because I was thinking about the cost if I dropped it. The Hornet, which is basically an unfaired version of the CBR600, has a lots of guts and is capable of amazing performance, I have taken my speedo to 140mph then had to slow down because of the constant buffeting of the wind. With Fireblade wheels the bike is very sure-footed, and quite forgiving. Cornering is not quite as smooth as a CBR600 partly due to the more upright seating position. It's a fast and cheap bike with better looks than the Fazer or Bandit. For a first bike it may have a little too much power, but hey what's a bike for. The bike is only used at weekends, so spending 2.5K less...

CBR600 - old faithful
Review of Honda CBR600F4 by
Brewster
Advantages: well built, reliable, practical and comfortable.
Disadvantages: A bit bland
...In 1987 Honda introduced the CBR600, which is one of the longest running motorcycle models. Most bikes are redesigned and given a new model name, the CBR has had three major revisions and kept it name. This is probably because the CBR was the top selling motorcycle in most years since its introduction and although the latest looks vastly different from the first it is still, at heart, a CBR - which is a bike that is well built, reliable, practical, comfortable and at the same time one of the best sports bikes in its capacity.
I have had a CBR600FP for two years. I bought it with 24,000 miles on the clock, to replace an earlier model, a CBR600FJ. I use the bike as my main transport so I wanted a bike that would rack up the miles while being reliable, comfortable but still able to chase sports bikes when the mood takes me.
The bike...

The fastest 4-stroke 125cc out there.
Review of Honda CBR125R by
maddycatty2k
Advantages: Nimble, light, ideal for short riders, reliable, excellent miles per gallon
Disadvantages: Tall riders look ridiculous and find the riding positions uncomfortable.
...250R (which I have owned previously), but it still looks very small compared to sports bikes.
The seat height is 30.5 inches, which may not seem so low at first, considering the CBR250RR has a 28 inch or so seat height. However, the difference is that the CBR125R's seat is very comfortable and you're able to travel long distances on it if you are the ideal height/weight for the bike. One thing people complain about are the wheels/tyres. They are very thin, but guess what? This works!!! Honda aren't stupid, and they know that if they put bigger wheels on the CBR125R it would have terrible grip, especially in the wet (in rain, wet weather, etc).
The stock tyres that come with the bike aren't the best out there, but they will grip, and yes you can get your knee down (again if you're a suitable rider for the bike) if need be. These tyres...
