Honda Accord. Type S.

Advantages: spacious, refined, different and very quick
Disadvantages: none that ive come across

...I recently bought a Honda accord type S after lots of looking on the internet and at garages for a new car. And im glad i did. I wont go into the technical stuff here, get your self a brouchure from a garage for the facts and figures, but i will tell you about my experince. ********** I have had feedback on this Op surgesting that I do put in the tech stuff. And of course, I am always happy to comply !!!! Honda accord type S.. 2.4 litre, 4 cylinder in-line all aluminium DOHC i-VTEC engine (that means, Duel Over Head Cam and Variable valve Timing and Electronic lift Control, apparently). Producing 190 bhp with a top (limited) speed of 142mph. 0-60 comes arround in 7.9 secs, but as I have said, the time is less than this for sure (one day i will check it out with a stop watch). The gear box is 6 speed, so get used to changing...

...I have owned a Honda Civic Type R (2005 Model) for around six months now. I had many concerns about the car before buying it, however not one of these concerns still hangs over my ownership. I chose to buy a red example, but this is personal preference. I was concerned about the road noise of the car, given the stiff suspension and low profile tyres, as I do a fair amount of motorway miles. So far, I've barely noticed. I don't find the road noise too intrusive, only on the most harsh of road surfaces. Even then, the sweet engine note is more than enough compensation. The hard suspension is a bit of an issue over speed bumps - not to the point that you hear bottoming out noises, but it will certainly throw you around if you don't slow down. ...WAW.... Well i finally have my Honda civic Type R. I was lucky to get the leather interior and aircon and cd changer which is always nice to have. Its GREAT, i was a little worried about the gears but that has seemed to be one of the best things about it. its close to the steering wheel and its just feels right. Honda Civic Type R 30th Anniversary Edition

...Honda announced this limited edition model to commemorate 30 years of the Civic model in production. As a UK model it was restricted to 300 examples: 100 Red, 100 Black, 100 Silver. I was fortunate enough to order one back in October 2002 in Silver for early 2003 delivery. The Type R in standard guise became something of a cult vehicle to many performance car enthuisiasts. This was mainly due to it's normally aspirated engine producing 200bhp (197 according to manufacturers figures), race car handling and a VFM price tag. ...BOLTED on (discovered at time of repair). The original brackets were left mangled and rusted and the new bumper had been attached using nuts and bolts. Not the quality of vehicle I would expect to purchase from a main dealer! I will never ever buy Honda again. The after sales care is worse than diabolical. The Type R is so common now. They are everywhere. The ride comfort is sacrificed in order to be able to take corners at speed. It?s not the kind of vehicle to take on long journeys - not only are you unable to walk afterwards but you can?t listen to the radio or have a conversation over the noise of the engine. And now that I have an Astra VXR, the Type R really isn?t that quick! Honda Civic Type R - a great all rounder

...My husband purchased our brand new Civic Type R in September 2002 so we have been running it now for over 18 months. In that time all the car has need has been 1 routine service (<£100) and recently 2 new front tyres (£230). I can honestly say after running this car for 18 months that I would not swap it for any other car if I had the choice again. It has the perfect balance of reliability, style, performance and practicality. As a rough guide the car will do 40mpg on a long journey and about 27mpg around town. I would say this is above average for a car capable of 150mph - not on public roads of course! The interior of the car is very classy with good supportive stylish seats with the Type R logo stitched into them. The rest of the interior is a muted grey with silver sections. 2007 Type R FN2 - A Great Car

...I drove past the Honda Garage in October whilst looking for a Ford Focus ST (to be honest I hadnt even thought about the CTR) and saw that they had a 57 reg milano red type r with 9000 miles for £14995. My budget was 12000 plus the part exchange value of my previous fiat (total of about £14000). I was sceptical about getting £1000 knocked off but thought it would be worth a shot. I took the car out for a test drive and was impressed at how easy the car was to drive about town. I was getting 29mpg which was very impressive (dont get that any more sadly!) I waited over a month, looking at other dealerships as the prices were starting to drop with the current economic climate.
