so where's the milk?

...I love the Lush bubble bars and decided that this was the next one on my hit list to try! The sound of a comforting hot milk bubble bar sounded oh so appealing so off I hopped to the Lush shop! On closer insepction this bubble bar is not that amazing to look at it. It is as the picture shows simply a light orange colour. There are no sparkly bits, flowers or anyother managerie in it. The scent is sweet but not candy shop sweet like marshmallow moments for example. Nor to my pleasure was it floral either as I really am not keen on those scents. The scent I think is slightly citrus which I imagine comes from the orange oil in it. On contact with the hot bath water it makes a satisfying amount of bubbles and the scent is pleasent too. Bye bye Nytol, hellooooooo Hot Milk!

Advantages: Unbelievably relaxing! More so than any other Lush product I've tried
Disadvantages: A strange smell... Not the best, but not awful!

...*Why did I buy this product?* If you've read any of my other reviews you'll realise I'm a sucker for Lush. I've smelt Hot Milk many times but never been impressed. It smells quite nice, just not the strong, luxurious smells I've come to associate with Lush. In a way it's best to think of Hot Milk is that it's the girl-next-door of the bubble bars/bath ballistic. It looks pretty enough, it smells good enough, but you need to take the time to find that there are millions of reasons to love it. *Where did I buy it?* My local Lush store. ...it was more expensive than the other milks, only by a pound but I am sure this would soon add up if your baby was solely bottle fed. The tub isn't anything fancy, it's not all bright and colourful with pictures of babies on the front like other formula tubs, instead it is a simple blue tub with a white polar bear on. It does not say 'formula milk' on it but 'breastmilk substitute' which suggests it is in a different league to the other formulas on the market. The tub itself has the information about how to make up a feed and how much your baby should be having. The lid is resealable with a plastic lid that clips back down. It is useful as it keeps the powder dry and sealed, but the lid is so very hard to open. ...In a word, awesome. In 5 words, great value for money guaranteed. In a few more words:- The Red Hot Chili Peppers went into recording for Mother's Milk needing a success. After a steady first 3 albums in 5 years, the band suffered changes, with the death of Hillel Slovak and resignation of Jack Irons, they recruited John Frusciante and Chad Smith. With the new line-up came a new sound, and with it was a true gem of an album, the launch pad of Blood Sugar Sex Magik. There are songs that inspire, songs to aspire, songs to sing to and songs to try and sing to. What isn't on the album is any sad songs, a testament to the positive upbeat nature of the band, turning adversity into triumph. RHCP are probably the best band in the world at covering songs, as shown here with Higher Ground, Fire, Castles made of Sand and Crosstown...

Hot Comedy!

...I do enjoy a good comedy film, so how Hot Fuzz has passed me by so far is a bit of a mystery to me. I loved Simon Pegg's feature film "Run Fat Boy Run" and since I have seen that, lots of people have told me that I would definitely enjoy Hot Fuzz too. So when I went to stay at my parents for a week and they suggested we watch a film, I spotted Hot Fuzz on the shelf and immediately decided that was the film of choice. My family do enjoy a comedy film, and this film certainly didn't disappoint for us, so much so we went out and bought it after seeing it! PC Nicholas Angel works for the Metropolitan Police in London and loves his job. ...Lush Hot Milk Bubble Bar: Just to get it out of the way this doesn?t smell like hot milk. The name is meant to capture the spirit of this bar. Lush believe is it great before bed; all warm and comforting like a mug of hot milk. Looks wise this is not a pretty bubble bar, (a bubble bar is like a slab of solid bubble bath), all orange and really blob shaped. It doesn?t smell strongly but you can get a whiff of coconut milk and some kind of citrus. I don?t actually like the smell much, (that?s what I get for shopping online), and to me it smells like citrus cleaning products. According to Lush this contains coconut milk, orange oil, patchouli oil and gardenia. I can really only detect coconut milk and orange. To use a bubble simply crumble under a running tap, (make sure the water isn?t too hot first or you?ll end up with a sore hand...
