Hot Comedy!

...I do enjoy a good comedy film, so how Hot Fuzz has passed me by so far is a bit of a mystery to me. I loved Simon Pegg's feature film "Run Fat Boy Run" and since I have seen that, lots of people have told me that I would definitely enjoy Hot Fuzz too. So when I went to stay at my parents for a week and they suggested we watch a film, I spotted Hot Fuzz on the shelf and immediately decided that was the film of choice. My family do enjoy a comedy film, and this film certainly didn't disappoint for us, so much so we went out and bought it after seeing it! ...This is Limp Bizkit's most recent (to date) and best album in my opinion. The actual album title is a metaphor for something... but I'm not going to get into that. There is no point whatso ever buying the edited version of the album, it has by far the most swearing in it than the previous two albums, most noticable Hot Dog, in which Fred swears about 65+ times. The track layout is the same as Significant Other, with an intro and outro. This is the album which have made Limp Bizkit more famous than they already are, seeing their first number one track in the UK with Rollin' (it has been coming). The album contains brilliant songs such as My Generation, Rollin', Take a look around (the fantastically rerendered version of the Mission Impossible theme tune) and many more. I can't remember now how much my copy was, but the book is available from Amazon used or new from only 1p (plus £2.75 p&p). The book was first published in 1994, and then reprinted in 1999. Advantages: Psychologically scary, strong performances from key cast members.
Disadvantages: Too many characters are introduced, the ending is a little silly.

...Walter Salles 2005 film 'Dark Water' is dark and mysterious, a truly chilling remake of Hideo Nakata's Japanese horror film which was originally released in 2002. It's an interesting concept that Walter Salles should take on a film of this sort, he'd previously had success with the film 'The Motorcycle Diaries' but 'Dark Water' is really something far different than this. What's more is that this is a major American remake and yet Walter Salles himself is Brazilian. Although this was not a predictable film for Walter Salles to have taken on, what I will say is that he has done an excellent job here and successfully directed a brilliant horror film.
