Coral Beach Hotel

...Cyprus is an island in the southern mediterean, just off the Egyptian coast, being divided into touristy Greek Cyprus and Turkish Cyprus (which is mostly a military base). I went to Cyprus on a cycling holiday and it was an absolute nightmare to get the bikes, we waited 45 minutes after everyone else had left the new (but very barren and not very comfortable) arrival lounge. The bikes eventually appeared to fell off the plane, as we found later in the holiday that they arrived with various damage. Larnaca is the location of the main airport in Cyprus, located close to the party town of Ayia Napa but 90 minute slow bus ride away from the Coral Beach Hotel and Resort, Paphos. The country appears to be very dusty, sparse in population except for the large hotel resorts and the ubiquitous half built villa's that seem to be found...

Disadvantages: Pricey even by the standard of other 7/6 star resorts

Sheer Luxury

Advantages: Luxury and excellent service
Disadvantages: Drinks are a bit pricey in the lounge

...The Coral Beach Hotel and Resort is about 20 minutes from Kato Paphos in Cyprus. (Fly into Paphos airport.) It has over 700 rooms and a number of executive and even Royal Suites. We were met at the airport by limousine and taken to the hotel reception area where we were allocated a room. My first impression was the sheer opulance of it all. The reception area was very expensively furnished and huge glass doors along the whole wall at the back opened on to a terrace which displayed bright red bouganvilia and orange honeysuckle. The vines twisted and climbed across the sheltered terraces. Inside the room were huge displays of luscious plants with huge colourful blooms and shiney green leaves. Love Handles??? Handle This On Honeymoon!!!

A little luxury in Cyprus!

...We have just come back from staying for a week at the Coral Beach Hotel in Cyprus. The hotel is just outside the small resort of Coral Bay and is about 10 km from Paphos and about a thirty minute drive from Paphos Airport. We stayed in the hotel in mid February which is a time which has some things to recommend it but not others! We chose the hotel because it seemed to offer just that little bit more than other hotels in the area and in many ways it did although this was also reflected in the price! (We booked with Thomson and paid about £1600 for the package deal for me, my husband and our two small daughters When you first arrive at the hotel you can't help but notice the sheer size of it.. Peaceful family hotel/resort.

...I went to this hotel in July 07 with my wife & 2 children aged 4 & 16 months for a ten night stay.The reception was very clean & on entering the hotel the crystal clear sea was in view which impressed me alot.The rooms were fairly spacious,& cleaned & tidied every day,the balcony was sea view which was excellent.The meals were very good throughout the day there was always something f every1.The pool areas were large & kept very clean.The beach is small & quiet with very clear water.The resort was nice & quiet with a few gud pubs 2 take a break from the normal all inclusive beers/wines theres a superb pizza takeaway called Il Padrino just up the road from the hotel.We also took a very short taxi trip to cala d or & the beach there is even better with the sea the best in the med,plenty to do in the day f adults & kids & gud disco...

relaxing retreat

...I grew up in and around the area of Sutton Coldfield and had always wanted to stop at this hotel so when I saw a bargain on the internet of £50 for the room I jumped at the chance and promptly booked me and my partner in for a night. We were in the process of buying a house and things were getting pretty stressful so a night away in a hotel making use of spa facilities seemed like bliss! We arrived at the hotel around 2pm and were greeted by friendly staff in a well lit lobby/reception area who quickly checked us in and informed us of the location of the room so off we headed to the mirrored lift... When the lift opened on our floor it seemed quite dark even though the lights were on but we put this down to the dark wallpaper and continued our search for the room which due to the corridors being well signposted didn't take too...

Despite it's faults had a great holiday

...fantastic time! It would slow down every now and then and you could see underwater creatures - we saw an octopus/squid type thing which was very exciting! We were allowed to get off the boat for a swim in the middle of the sea which was lovely! Highly recommend this trip! There are a few shops which were quite nice, one was a corner shop, had food, drink and some games, books. The others were for souvenirs and fake branded clothes. We actually had a really lovely time, if the food was much nicer and they had good quality entertainment then it would have been near perfect, but they are two pretty major let downs, but as I said we had a wonderful time. I wouldn't go back, and I wouldn't necessarily recommend it unless someone wanted a cheap all inclusive in rhodes. Rhodes is a beautiful island, it might have been nicer to have had a hotel...
