Country & Home are proud to present our own Glug Glug Jug, moulded, shaped and painted in honour of Devon's own River Tamar Brown Trout as seen by our own fisherman and those under their tutelage on our beats nestled in the hills of Dartmoor. Made using the original 1920's mould for authenticity, each of these jugs is hand painted, glazed and fired in Devon and captures the details of the distinctive native fish as accurately as possible. Made exclusively for The Arundell Arms Hotel, the Tamar Trout Glug Glug Jug reflects the work and approach we take as the UK's Number One Fly Fishing School, and the range of our online country gift shop. We have gone to great lengths to replicate the famous brown trout, whose home is the very rivers we fish in. The Glug Glug jug has been a popular table and kitchen stalwart in rural homes for years and makes an excellent country home gift. It is so named due to the characterful 'glugging' sound created when pouring, caused trapped in the tail being released. It is sure to delight guests at your dining table, both young and old. Product arrives boxed. Capacity: 750ml Height: 23cm approx

...Our flights to the UK were arranged, including a rental car which we were picking up in Crawley (long story... but it was the best value). Our accommodation, we thought, was sorted, staying - as usual - with various relatives in different locations.
Then, a few days before flying, we had a phone call. The first relative we were hoping to see was not well. She asked if there was any way we...

...The Great British Seaside resorts are not quite as popular as they were some decades ago; however, we have enjoyed numerous short British holiday breaks. Many holiday abroad because they love the sunshine; we (oddly enough) holiday in the UK because we like the changing seasons. A lot of the run of the mill hotels offering budget breaks and bargain weekends offer a decent service for a very...
