Good Hotel to Stay in City Center but...

Advantages: Close to City Center, Budget Hotel, Free Breakfast
Disadvantages: No free internet, Not much Value for Money, Uncleanliness with some services

...I booked this hotel for my stay in Leeds as I wanted to stay in the city center. I have been staying in various hotels, so I had some expectations from this one as well. When you want to choose any hotel, you have few criteria in mind. I would like to write on the criteria I had in my mind, so you can take this review as per your need. Quality of hotel service: It was satisfactory, not exceptional but not bad too. Condition or maintenance of the hotel: When I entered the hallway, I sensed a weird smell (like the one when the area is closed for long time), the breakfast sitting area was clean BUT, the cutlery was not clean. I had to wipe the spoons and forks I used. They clearly were not cleaned properly. Cleanliness of room: but the rooms were maintained alright. The bathrooms were clean, but you don't get to see posh bathrooms...

A hotel in the heart of New York City

Advantages: Great Location, Clean and Friendly Staff
Disadvantages: Views from hotel itself not great, no free wi fi

...My boyfriend turned 30 a few weeks ago and for his present I booked us a trip to New York and the Wellington Hotel is where I picked for us to stay due to its central location in Manhattan. Last Wednesday we flew out to NYC and checked into the Wellington. If you didn't know already this is where part of the Borat film was made, the main scene being where he tries to unpack his things in the lift thinking its his room and so many Borat jokes ensued in the elevators during our stay. The location of the hotel is amazing, its a 1 minute walk from Carnegie Hall, 2 minutes from Central Park and 5 minutes from Times Square and is located on the corner of 55th Street and 7th Avenue. Apex City of London Hotel - outstanding

Advantages: Lovely staff, beautiful rooms, modern hotel
Disadvantages: Slightly out of the way of the West End

...We wanted to stay somewhere in central London that was value for money, and found this brilliant hotel for only £69 per night. We booked directly with the hotel itself, and while the system can be a little frustrating the transaction went through smoothly. This was in December 2008, so we didn't expect any decent hotels so close to Christmas to be so cheap. While this hotel is a little out of the way of main attractions it is close to the Tower of London, and to Tower Bridge and easily accessible by bus and tube. On arriving by tube, we found the hotel was alittle bit tricky to find, and were saved only by the fact that by boyfriend's phone has sat-nav! On arriving we were greeted by friendly and efficeint staff. The entrance to the hotel was modern and swish, befitting a four star hotel with marble and stainless tell everywhere...

Formule 1 Liverpool City Center

Advantages: Cheap, good location.
Disadvantages: shareing toilet and shower,

...made from plastic, which left the floor slippery and very dangerous. The location of the hotel is ideal, oppiste the albert docks, in the heart of the city center close to all the shops, clubs, pubs and the river mersy. Th only food court i encounted was the coke vending machine, coffee vending machine and a little bar style table next to them. For hot food i was recommened by the stewart manning the reception to use the pizza leaflets pinned up on the wall. Being a fan of pizza though i was ok with this. They even come up right to your door with the pizza. During the night i didnt get much sleep, as hotels this cheap are used for clubbers who stop over in the city, so means that all hours through the night there is alot of people in and out of the corridors drunk, poeple getting a shower, passing your door every so often...

City Hotel Bratislava

Advantages: Reasonably priced, clean, modern
Disadvantages: Not in the city centre as one might reasonably assume from the name

...We stayed her for one night. It's billed as close to City Centre but this is not strictly true. It is a bus, tram or trolley-bus ride away and will take an average of about 20 minutes to get there. It may save a lot of hassle to take a taxi which at about £5 is a reasonably priced option. The hotel is bright, clean and modern. The room we had was a twin superior, non smoking room on 9th floor with a small balcony. We had only paid for a standard room but were upgraded without additional cost on arrival. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. The bathroom though small was adequate with snow white fluffy towels and a nice display of freebies.The breakfast buffet was extensive and plentiful and the staff were pleasant and helpful. I would definetly stay here again....

The Wellington The Hotel That Never Sleeps

...Most people know New York City as the city that never sleeps or the big apple. Whatever you name New York City it is the largest city in America and has much to offer visitors all around the world. Traveling to New York gave me the opportunity to explore this wonderful City. There is so much to do and see that I was never bored. Travelling through New York is easy as most places are within walking distance and if not you can get a tube or bus. There are many hotels to choose from and finding the right one can be a difficult choice. We chose The Wellington Hotel. I thought it was the right decision when I booked it and as soon as I saw the hotel I knew I had made the right decision. Fab priced hotel in the thick of New York City!

Advantages: Cheap, right by Times Square, friendly staff
Disadvantages: Rooms may be too small for some fussy travellers!

...When I was booking a holiday for my partner and I to go to New York, I did a lot of research about hotels, locations, sight-seeing spots etc and then tried to find the best one out of a huge list I made. I didn't want to pay a lot for the hotel because I knew we wouldn't be in it much, and when I saw the Best Western name, I thought it would be a good idea to stick with what I know! So I booked 4 nights in this hotel in December 2005, my second trip to the fantastic NYC. We easily got a transfer from the airport, and gave the driver the address which I had printed out before we left the UK. We speedily set off into the manic NYC traffic in our little yellow cab, and were there within about 1 hour, not bad considering the traffic! The hotel had a nice frontage, it was all gold, had loads of Christmas lights and little Christmas trees...

...We are just back from 4 nights in The Wellington Hotel. We booked it back in Jan'07 thru an online hotel booking site (I may have mentioned it in other reviews) We also booked flights directly with BA thru their website. We had stayed in NewYork about 2 years ago in a YMCA in the upper westside. However as my oldies were coming with us we had to book a hotel. We booked a suite at The Wellington for around £780 for 4 adults for 4 nights and the BA flights from ABZ cost around £1,200 for the 4 of us. We arrived at JFK around 1600hrs and after clearing immigration and a lenghty taxi journey we arrived at the hotel about 1800hrs.
