BEST HOTEL LEISURE CLUB IN AREA

Advantages: Brilliant unbeatable leisure club, clean and at reasonable cost
Disadvantages: Hotel food average, Chistmas parties a disappointing rip off

...I have been a member of the health club for 3 years now, and my review will be primarily about this. The hotel was built just over 3 years ago and is part of the De Vere Group. The leisure club is in the basement of the hotel...I say basement , it is actually on the ground floor, but the entrance to the hotel which you have to go through is on the level above, so you have to go up steps/ramp from the very large roomy carpark and them back down again. It did originally have a cafe copra, but this was shut and replaced by a second exercise studio, the ggod news is as of august 2008 they have opened a Starbucks which members get 20% discount at.The cost of membership is obviously different dependant on peak and off peak , there is not a family discount but you can attach children to membership for £10 a month, (7.50 at the Dudley branch...

Disadvantages: Like a rabbit Warren

...The village hotel & leisure club in Wirral Have recently joined here and at £32 per month, each, we feel we have a bargain. They even waved the joining fee, normally £70. We joined, my wife and I, on the ?Flexi? promotion. This is where you are only tied in for 3 months as opposed to the ?Full? 12 month tie in. Extras given include £15 to spend in their restaurants, 10% discounts in the bars and coffee shop and 2 free vouchers for friends/family. The vouchers entitle the user to a free week in the gym, pool etc worth £70. If you recommend someone and they join you also get £50 of a nights stay in the hotel. She had a point, i am only 21, I can?t drive and i am not rich in any way shape or form. Despite this I really needed a break from reality. Club Paraiso Hotel Review

Advantages: 3 Pools, 2 bars, close to nightlife, good entertainment
Disadvantages: not great if your looking for a quiet holiday

...I stayed in the Club paraiso based in San Antonio in July 2004 and July 2005, and I've had the best holiday of my life. We booked the holiday as a late deal so we got a week for £200. RECEPTION On entrance the reception is very clean and spacious and the staff are friendly and helpful, the security are very strict sometimes too much so, they once wouldn't let us sign a friend in becasue he didn't have his passport with him. You need to show your swipe card on each entry. THE ROOMS The rooms are studio rooms, spacious for 2, but get a little crowded at 3, there are cooking facilities including, two cooking rings, a toaster, kettle, all cuttlery and a little oven. The shower does its job and there are always clean sheets and towels, the balconys are a good size, the first time I stayed the view was much to be desired but...

For Chicago, our choice was the Chicago City Centre Hotel & Sports Club. Why? The hotel is close to many of Chicago's attractions - close enough to walk to many with trolley stops nearby to those further away. But as our preference is for quiet - not on the busy Michigan Avenue! The hotel has parking facilities - essential as we were hiring a car. ...A month or so ago I decided that hubby and I needed some serious rest and relaxation, so I browsed the Internet to see if anything took my fancy. I came across a Spa deal at the Langdale Hotel and Country Club near Ambleside (39 miles from us), and thought that this sounded like just the thing I was after. The website I have to say is excellent, and if you do decide ever to visit then certainly check it out, there are photos (although saying that they can make it look a bit better than it is!) of everything ? rooms, spa, restaurant. Plus it is regularly updated. ...I genuinely used to get excited about going to stay in a hotel, don't ask me why? It probably stems back to my youth when hotels meant holidays and a little adventure. Of course now I'm allegedly grown up it staying in hotels has become a little more mundane, and this is one adjective I would use to describe the Village Hotel and Leisure Club Swindon. Village Hotel & Leisure Clubs are a chain of hotels across the country owned by the De Vere group, the chain that owns the rather famous Belfry. However I feel as though the one visited in Swindon is at the other end of the market. Kununurra Country Club Resort, Western Australia

Advantages: Room cleanliness excellent, facilities and dining quite acceptable.
Disadvantages: Had a battle with the doors in my room

...This review covers my stay of two nights at Kununurra Country Club Resort, which is located near Lake Argylle in North West Australia. I stayed here during a coach tour of the Kimberleys, so I didn't book direct with the resort. It is set in green, well-tended grounds, with lots of palm trees. There is good security with high fences around the resort, but even so, management advises guests to keep doors locked to discourage petty theft. Regency Club Hotel Funchal

Advantages: Lovely big spacious rooms and balconies

...We have stayed recently at this hotel and I found it exremely good! The room we stayed in had this fantastic balcony (room 601). It overlooked the marina where the ferry and the cruise liners came in. The hotel itself is very small, but the rooms are excellant with every thing and more to make the stay pleasant. Thye kitchen was fully equipped which is just as well considering the price of eating out. The price included breakfast which was beautifuly presented and was top quality food with plenty choice but I found that the hot foods were not particularly hot. However the hotel was very enjoyable in itself but we did not really like Madeira as a holiday destination. Overall the hotel was good but Madeira was not as we expected....
