Hotel Adam - Milan can be cheap!

...Well, when I visited Milan in February, we booked to stay in Hotel Adam about 4 weeks before we went. We got an offer on the accomodation and paid only £97 for 2 people for 3 nights which I thought was fantastic as this is a 4* hotel. There weren't many pictures of the hotel and I couldn't find a lot of information on it, we didn't know what to expect - but not a lot for that cost! The address of the Hotel is Via Palmanova 153 Milan, 20132 Italy The hotel is 6km from the city centre and 4km from Linate airport, we flew to Bergamo airport and it's not that much of a hassle getting from there either. To get to this hotel all you need to do is get onto the metro on the green line and get off at the stop named Crescenzago. From thios metro stop you can see the Hotel. De Vere Grand Harbour Hotel, Southampton

Advantages: Fantastic rooms, friendly staff, great location
Disadvantages: some of the other guests seem to think their a bit special!

...be booked over the hotel groups website, by calling a central reservations number, by calling the hotel directly and most likely through your locale travel agents alothough i wouldn't recommend this as it will work out much more expensive that contacting the hotel directly. I would definatly recommend a visit to this hotel especially for a special occassion, the staff are always friendly, helpful and willing to go the extra mile, for example several times they've made food for me not on the menu just because i enquired as to whether they did do it or not. Also if you have an american express card you can often get deals on buy one get one night free in de vere hotels, and sometimes a free upgrade (the reason i got junior suites both time!)...

Advantages: Well presented, friendly, welcoming, modern

...We visted the Hotel Armadams for our honeymoon back in October 2006 for a short break to take in the sights and sounds of Palma. It is situated one "block" away from the main promenade in Palma, a road lined on one side with bars, hotels, shops and the marina and harbour area on the other. I am not a great Spanish speaker, infact I know only the most basic of phrases to muddle through, but the staff were very understanding and very helpful, even though we weren't checking in until really late following a delayed flight. The room was exceptional. Clean crisp tiled floors beautufully airy which really made a good first impression. De Vere hotel in the centre of Cambridge!

...My husband and I stayed here a year or so ago, he took me for a surprise weekend away and I was very impressed with the hotel. He firstly choose De vere's as they are known to have very nice, luxury hotels at quite good prices in good locations. This location was fantastic. At first though I must admit I was a bit disappointed because looking at the photograph of the hotel you expect it to have a lovely huge green area in front of it but that is actually the park next to the hotel. The hotel is situated right in the town and not really surrounded by green area at all as the photo suggests but never mind, it did not put us off. Advantages: Excellent location and fantastic value for money. Highly recommended.
Disadvantages: Nothing stands out as being an issue.

...I have stayed at this hotel on three occasions, mainly through attending work related conferences at the attached Bolton Wanderers Football Club. To look at from the outside it is a tad strange, a football stadium with a hotel built into one side - please don't be put off, if you are not a Bolton fan, as soon as you enter the hotel lobby you can forget all about the beautiful game. If you are there for the football, there is absolutely no better location! The lobby is an impressive affair with large reception desk, the staff at which I have always found efficient, and a beautiful imposing sweeping staircase. Once checked in, it is up to the rooms, but on the way please check out those great carpets that flow effortlessly and seemingly join free around the communal areas and down the corridors. A Palatial Hotel fit for a Queen

...Carmona is a town with a very long history and is situated about 30km east of Seville. It lies astride the NIV Seville-Cordoba highway so the town is very easy to find. The Alcazar de la Reina Hotel is situated in the heart of the old town. It's not hard to find as it's more than adequately signposted, but it's still a bit of an ordeal driving to it. The old town was not designed with the automobile in mind (in fact I doubt whether the wheel was even invented when much of this place was built!) and you must negotiate a torturous and convoluted route through the incredibly narrow streets and lanes (all one way). The streets are so tight, it could be quite hair-raising - I don't have much hair so I was alright. Hotel De Havelet- The place to stay!

Advantages: Close to all amenities, clean, friendly, good short break offers
Disadvantages: If walking be prepared for the hill!!

...Nestled in the side of a hill surrounded by other private houses, yet still with tranquillity, is the Hotel De Havelet run by Best Western, which inlcudes their very inviting and locally well-known restaurant- 'The Wellington Boot.' Although we were working on a budget for this visit, we were still looking for good food and comfortable lodgings for a few days, and this hotel churned out the goods! The hotel is situated on the edge of St Peter Port, the capital of Guernsey, so the major town is very accessible by foot, and not too far from local public transport, taxis or boat trips to the other smaller surrounding Channel Islands.
